The happy hour menu says $5 house wines. I asked, "Do you have a house Sauvignon Blanc and she said. "Yes. Kim Crawford." So I excitedly said I'd like that only to find out that is not a happy hour wine and was $10 each when the bill came. But you know what? They graciously made it right. So I would recommend instead of asking, "Do you have a house...." Ask. "What are your happy hour wines.". My wedge salad with salmon was delicious! Salmon medium rare and tender and moist. Plenty of bacon. Although the dressing was liquidy, it was just fine on the salad. Tasted my son's fries and they were piping hot. Crispy. Delish. His Reuben was huge! Hubby's shrimp bang bang tacos were great! The view of the marina was beautiful!

Great location on the water. Excellent seafood selection! A bit loud with the bar noise, but not too bad very friendly staff. Would love to come by in the summer!

Very mid food. Calamari wasn't necessarily seasoned, Brussels sprouts were very over cooked. Oysters were just fine and the crab dip was okay. Wouldn't come back for the food but the view was nice.

This place has a local feel where they know you by name. I'm sure it gets packed in the summer or during a good game. This was my first time, and the waiter was great at explaining the favs. I tried the fried shrimp and had zero complaints. Plenty of flavor and cooked well. I also tried the fish tacos. This is not a Mexican restaurant, it's more like a beach bar. So don't expect Mexican-style fish tacos. I'm not saying they were bad just setting expectations. I would absolutely come back next time and I'm trying the wings.

Went here Saturday night around 9 pm, the weather felt nice outside so we were hoping we'd be able to sit outside and have some drinks, but they actually closed their outdoor seating early in the night so we had to be inside. We were sat at one of the two seat tables along the wall near the bar. Couldn't get an indoor patio table because they were all apparently reserved already, so we just went with what we could get. We went only for drinks since we had eaten else where prior. I ordered the strawberry daiquiri (6/10) very little alcohol really just tasted like juice mix. The cherry limeade crush (7/10) the flavor was good and I could taste a little alcohol. And also a Bushwacker (10/10) it was creamy, strong, and so so good. Def my favorite drink on the menu. Overall, the service was fine our waitress checked on us a decent amount of times I'd say. Next time I plan to actually try their food, but I've for sure added this place down to come back for drinks. There's other drinks I'd like to try on the menu, but I will def be returning for their Bushwacker. Total for 6 drinks came out to $77. My overall rate of experience : 7.5/10

Absolutely recommend Stony's. Straight up fantastic seafood. The place is a vibe, bit of a pub with some tables about, but lots of bar stools. Seating by windows on the marina is really nice. Great staff there, really did a great job taking care of us. We got a couple appetizers and a sandwich to share, they even split the sandwich and plated each separately with fries and a pickle. Nice! Speaking of which, the flounder BLT excellent. Crab cake app was well done, so tasty and loads of crab. And the firecracker shrimp rocked! Spicy for sure, tasted similar to buffalo sauce, but such good shrimp. Accompanying ranch helps :) Glad we found Stony's!

Very standard grill with a nice view of the marina. I got the chicken and waffles and enjoyed the hearty Southern brunch. My partner and I had some time to kill before going to the airport, and the staff was very welcoming and let us sit until it was time to catch our flight.

I went here for breakfast and dinner in one day. I had just moved to the area and spent a couple weeks dining at local spots around east beach. Lovely story about the owners (maybe not the part about being Penn State fans haha ... go Ducks!). The restaurant is like a small sports bar meets casual seafood dining. Seems like a lot of regulars come here. The breakfast was okay. The fried chicken very well done. Dinner was better food but nothing stood out to my taste buds. The drinks were stiff! I can see myself coming here to watch football and munch on something in the future. The staff were all very friendly.

Service at Stonys tonight was great. However, we were fairly disappointed this evening over our final bill. The Salad section of the menu indicates you can add a meat addition with no monetary value assigned to each option, not even an MP next to crabcake. To be honest, we didn't bother to ask when we ordered as it's standard to have a scaled dollar amount next to each option on menus (chicken, shrimp, fish, crabcake). The Newport salad, which is a 14$ salad was accompanied by a 16$ crab cake charge. When we inquired, the waitress was very kind. We loved her, she doesn't make the menu or the prices and we tipped her accordingly. This unclear menu produced a near 30$ salad which, if I'd just ordered the 16$ crab cake appetizer and the 14$ salad, I'd have at least received house slaw and remoulade. It's disappointing to be upcharged for items due to an unclear menu.

Though there weren't many people in the restaurant at all, the kitchen was really backed up and it took a long time for our food to come out. This didn't make sense at all honestly, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Didn't get to snap a picture, but they had a decent little amount of arcade games inside, which was pretty cool; wasn't expecting to see those in there. Also one of the dessert items I wanted to try: the salted caramel brownie, was out of stock, so I did have to change my dessert choice; unfortunately. To drink: I got the Watermelon Limeade (8.5/10) it was easy to drink, honestly just tasted like a fruity soda with a very tiny buzz to it. I would've liked it a bit more if it was a little stronger. Also tried the Dirty Berry Mojito (10/10) I absolutely loved the flavor of this Mojito and it was a lot stronger than the limeade. Def had a buzz after finishing it. After I was done, felt like I should've really just ordered two of the mojitos only. To eat: I got half Strawbenero BBQ (9/10) and half Spicy Garlic Ranch (6.5/10) boneless wings. The strawberry-habanero mix wings were really different and unique. When I first bit into them, I tasted the strawberry glaze and after a few more chews, that's when the spice settled in. I think it was different and actually pretty good. As for the spicy garlic ranch wings, I feel like they really tasted like regular buffalo sauce wings. I'm not sure if the kitchen mixed up what flavors I ordered, but they def tasted like regular buffalo and not anything garlicky or ranch flavor. Also did a side order of the loaded tots (2/10) the tots were cooked nice and crispy, but the loaded toppings had absolutely no flavor. There was chilli and cheese and after even giving the chilli a taste by itself, there was truly no seasoning in it at all. I wouldn't order this again. Also got dessert: the Cracker Jack Cheesecake (10/10) cheesecake is my favorite dessert, and I love the toppings of caramel and toffee; pretty sure it was supposed to have a chocolate drizzle on it, but the caramel was really good so no complaints. I totally see myself going back again, their hotdogs on the menu looked really really good and I would like to try some more of their unique wing flavors. My overall rate of experience : 7.7/10

They earned bonus points from me because the bar also had purse hooks. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Several checked on us or delivered items during our visit. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer, and a three cheese pizza for lunch. The meatballs were good, they weren't amazing, but they're good. I expected them to be a little larger, but they were hot and had lots of sauce to dip our bread in. The pizza was what we came for, and it did not disappoint. The crust was chewy and a bit charred on the bottom. It was not oily at all. Which I absolutely love. The ingredients were fresh, and it came out in a timely manner. They had a large variety of drinks, but all of them were in cans in a cooler. They also provide a pitcher of water at your table. I really like this place and I would've definitely given them a 5-star rating had they had fountain drinks and larger meatballs. Will be adding them to our rotation!

This review actually has two great businesses because I visited Klassic Doughnut's food truck too! Ok first things first. Every Wednesday through this Summer Klassic Doughnuts food stand will be available at COVA 8-11 AM. They are in my opinion the best cake doughnuts in our area. They are a major draw for COVA. I purchased a few to go. With COVA I specifically wanted to try their coffee. I was blown away upon arrival to see their outdoor space. It's huge and beautiful. On a weekday at 11 AM without school even out was busy! The counter service was helpful and friendly. I told the staff I wanted a black coffee and was directed to what beans were being offered. I opted for an Ethiopian pour over. The coffee comes in a large and priced competitive. It took a bit with being busy and a pour over, but boy was the wait worth it. Probably the best coffee I've had in any recent memory and I drink a lot of coffee. The space inside is compact, but they offer a side patio that's covered too! COVA is late to offering coffee, maybe 5 years or so. However, they are established with brewing award winning beer. I chatted with a female brewer a minute who was so sweet and invited me back for a glass. They also have a bakery case with offerings that looked good. So I need to return.
