We celebrated my wife's birthday tonight at Prime 757 Steakhouse & Grill, just off Independence Boulevard in the heart of Virginia Beach. This was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. We were fortunate to grab two seats at the bar--our favorite place to dine--and from the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which arrived piping hot. The oysters were large, flavorful, and perfectly prepared--a wonderful way to begin the evening. Our Caesar salads followed shortly thereafter. Crisp romaine, fresh ingredients, and a well-balanced dressing made for another excellent course. For our entrées, we both chose the steak and lobster tail. My wife paired hers with the grilled asparagus, while I opted for the loaded mashed potatoes. Every component of the meal was cooked exactly as ordered, seasoned beautifully, and absolutely delicious. To top off the evening, the staff surprised my wife with a complimentary slice of cake garnished with fresh strawberries and mixed berries to help celebrate her birthday. It was a thoughtful gesture that made an already memorable evening feel even more special. Prime 757 delivered exceptional food, outstanding service, and a warm atmosphere that made my wife's birthday celebration one we'll remember for a long time. We left impressed and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended. read more

The food is was great, tasty and timely. There was a little snafu with our drink order... we did not get our cocktails until after the apps were completed, and dinner was ordered. The server could have been a little more attentive (maybe they are still working on training). The noise level wasn't bad. The restaurant was very clean and had a casual atmosphere. read more

Regrettably I don't have any pictures to share but let me tell you how much we enjoyed our dinner at Prime 757. First off, I loved the look and feel of the place. Has a modern day look and feel. Our server, Taylor, was awesome. She was so kind and thoughtful and made the dining experience very pleasant. Now onto the food. Started with a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were a perfect size and the presentation was unique. I had the Ribeye, Oscar Style, and added on a Crab Cake and my friend had the Salmon, Oscar Style, and to say we were impressed is an understatement. Everything was perfectly cooked and every bite was delicious. I really wish I had pictures but I will be going back very soon and will take some pictures. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot. You won't regret it. read more

I had seen great reviews on social media. When my friend that was visiting said she wanted to go to a steakhouse I made a reservation here. Our reservation was for 6:30 and it definitely was filling up quickly inside. We started with drinks & appetizers. I wanted the crab dip and my friend got the fried pickles and some old bay wings. The crab dip was really good!! Cheesy with lots of crab and the bread that comes with it is great. The fried pickles were a nice surprise. When I saw they were long I thought they would be thick and mushy. I loved that they were thin and crunchy, the sauce with them was really good too. My friend said the wings were ok, too much old bay for her preference. I got a Bahama mama and my friend got a pineapple margarita. The drinks were my least favorite items. They were straight juice and such a small glass for $14. For entrees I got a ribeye with a baked potato. My friend got a ceasar salad with steak and a baked potato. The ribeye was cooked & seasoned perfectly! The potato was a good size. Definitely had lunch leftovers. The service can get a little slow when it's busy due to servers having so many tables. Overall good food and decent pricing. read more

Amazing food, fast service, and very reasonably priced! Everything was seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. They start you off with warm bread and honey butter, plus a fresh house salad paired with hands-down the best blue cheese dressing I've ever had. My steak was cooked just right, and upgrading to the garlic parmesan waffle fries was the best decision--they complemented each other beautifully. Dessert was the highlight of the meal: an incredibly rich, creamy cheesecake. Can't wait to come back! read more

757 Prime Steak House is an outstanding dining destination in Virginia Beach. From the moment you arrive, the service is elevated, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The food is superb--expertly prepared, full of flavor, and presented with excellence. Every detail reflects quality and pride. The atmosphere is equally impressive: stylish, vibrant, and perfect for celebrating special moments, milestones, or simply enjoying a first-class evening out. If you are in town and looking for a place to celebrate , this is a top-tier choice that delivers on every level. Highly recommended. Last our waitress Ms. Kelsea was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and with a high IQ on customer service. This is a must stop place in town. read more

Prime is located off Independence Blvd where Brass Bell used to be. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated. The server was not that forth coming about the menu. I had to ask what were the specials and details about the menu. We order the oysters Rockefeller, Lamb chops, and she crab to start The oyster roc was bland and the oysters were small. The she crab was salty, the lamb chops were good. For our entrees we had shrimp, ribeye, and a crab cake. The shrimp were a 10 out of 10, the ribeye was pretty good and tasty, but the crab cake was very salty. read more

Much better experience this evening than our first visit when they had just opened! They have definitely ironed out the kinks, as we had hoped. Service was impeccable, steaks cooked to perfection and this time my loaded baked potato was piping hot! Hubby's Caesar was also much better this time around. Definitely our new go to steakhouse in this area! read more

Went on Father's Day and I didn't realize they had a limited menu for the holiday. The fried seafood platter was pretty standard and what you would expect, though the hushpuppies are definitely good. Overall had a good experience and would probably try the steaks next time as opposed to the seafood read more

This is a wonderful hidden secret. The wait was 45 min. But believe me it was worth the wait. I ordered the fried seafood platter with a baked potato (1crab cake, 1 piece of fish,5 shrimp, 4 hush puppies) the baked potato was so nice and soft along with the soft rolls that were served with honey butter. My honey had the rack of lamb chops with broccoli and cheese along with mashed potatoes (the lamb was cooked beautifully with the grill marks and he stated they where nice and tender with a great flavor but could have stood a little more seasoning. The waitress we had was absolutely PHENOMENAL, she never missed a beat because the restaurant was packed. The decor was very nice also but they're going to need a bigger facility soon if business keeps booming the way it is now. And yes call and make a reservation if not you will be as I said earlier on the waitlist ....I can't wait to go back , ENJOY read more

Unfortunately, our experience at Prime 757 left us very frustrated with the lack of pricing transparency, and we will never return. The food itself was fine; our decision not to return is based on the billing and pricing issues we experienced. We were charged an undisclosed $4 upcharge for a pump of grenadine to convert a Sprite to a Shirley Temple, as well as an undisclosed, required 20% gratuity for our party of four. More concerning, that gratuity was calculated on the gross amount of the bill, which included $28 for two cocktails we never received, rather than the net amount we actually owed. For the cocktails, they were missing a key ingredient for the first and asked me to choose something else. The replacement took so long that I canceled the order. While the $28 charge was removed, the required gratuity was still calculated as though we had received and paid for those drinks. I didn't catch this until we were in the parking lot, so I went back inside to dispute it, and they ultimately refunded the gratuity overcharge. Like most people, I don't appreciate discovering additional charges only when the receipt arrives. Premium pricing is one thing; undisclosed upcharges, undisclosed mandatory gratuity, and gratuity calculated on items we never received are another. read more

We dined at Prime 757 with a party of four and had an appalling experience from start to finish. After waiting an hour for our food, our waitress, Megan, brought out a 16 oz prime rib instead of the 16 oz medium ribeye we ordered. The prime rib was visibly overcooked. When we brought the mistake to Megan's attention, she spoke to the manager, only to return and offer to deduct a mere $2--the price difference between the items. When my partner requested to speak with the manager directly, he walked over, stood silently, and simply let the waitress repeat herself without making any effort to make things right. To make matters worse, Megan began laughing at the situation as she walked away. The combination of wrong orders, an hour-long wait, overcooked food, and downright disrespectful management and service is unacceptable. We will not be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this establishment. read more

Clean & nice restaurant! Friendly hostess seated us. We enjoyed crab dip, salads, steaks & baked potatoes. Everything was delicious! Our food came out quickly & hot. Our server, Megan B., was great! Prime 757's new permanent restaurant on Independence is a great neighborhood spot with a solid menu and friendly service. I recommend kicking off with the she-crab soup which was served traditional style with a touch of sherry. Delicious. The ambiance is that of a friendly neighborhood spot with a full bar and plenty of seating. The two time I wen it wasn't overly crowded, so the noise level was very reasonable. I went yesterday for their soft opening, and it went a little odd. The waitress was absolutely lovely, and very quick with service. However, I bit into their "famous" hush puppies and a long hair came out. I showed the waitress the hair and she was very apologetic and said the back wanted to know if I'd like them remade, so I agreed. They come back and they're cold. I truly believe they just took off the one with the hair and gave me the exact same plate. I sent them back, and just asked at this point to take them off the bill and forget it. They did offer me a different appetizer, but after that I wasn't interested. My food was okay, but after that I was completely turned off. I hope they work on keeping the food hair free. I did still tip 20 percent because it isn't the waitresses fault, but that hair thing and then bringing me back a cold order really left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

After reading reviews we were expecting a good meal with good service. We were so disappointed. First we were told that you could only have beer or wine. No other alcohol beverages as they did not have a bartender. Then we asked for raw oysters from the menu and they were not serving those. Forget refills on your tea. We ordered steaks the quality of the meat was not even a choice cut. The sign may say Prime 757 but that is the only thing that is prime. The steaks were over cooked and my daughter in laws steak was not served with ours. I appreciate the honesty when we were told that they dropped it on the floor and had to prepare another steak. Then for a table of four you automatically are charged a 20% gratuity. I agree for a large table having the top added but a seating of four? Really? Bottom line we will not return and will pass along that this is not a place to go for dinner. read more

Very mid. And small. The restaurant was closing early and our food was rushed. The shrimp was still mushy not fried all the way. The mozzarella sticks looked like they got them from Walmart or target. Oh and the Mac and cheese was a joke. Very dry and no flavor. Noodles taste old. read more

Happy New Year! So a friend of mine suggested we dine here, she followed the owner from when he was a food truck! First let me say the place was beautiful, very clean... I don't normally sit in booths because they are dark and sticky and gross, but this place is fresh, new, clean, the seats are light colored and you can see the floor. Very cozy. The food was well seasoned. The fries were crispy and delicious... so much so I forgot to take a picture before I dug in. I will be going back to try steak and other items. Today I got the grouper, it could have been fried a little harder, for my liking but was tasty and delicious. The owner stopped by our table a couple times Mike.. super pleasant guy! The waitress was awesome very attentive. The hush puppies were the star of this trip... I love hush puppies these were well cooked and seasoned. The facade of the building outside absolutely does not reflect the ambiance and experience inside... check it out . The photo is of my friends food she got the grouper and shrimp lunch plate it was $22... I got grouper only because I am allergic to shellfish. The prices were very reasonable. And of course the hush puppies... read more

This is not the Brass Bell we once knew. Much classier. The overhead lighting gave it away right away. No more picnic tables or pool table graced the floors either. Everything has been replaced with higher elegance. We aren't talking Ruth's Chris but just several notches higher than it was. We were seated in a lovely booth. The seat wasn't dreadfully low and the table wasn't under my chin, just right, hand me some porridge. Oh I miss doing this. (Hub and I are staring at 70 and are getting edgy so needed a date night.) He ordered a Mocktail I ordered a wine "with dinner". We each ordered a salad, he ordered a soup, I ordered a 6 oz tenderloin MR, baked, he did a sirloin MR, baked and we ordered a mushroom/onion. SHEW, I think I got it all. His soup was not even close to hot but won't complain and I don't do it for him. His house salad looked just like a house salad, you know what I'm talking, well thumb tapping about. My Cesar was cut Romain, a few shaves of parm and boxed croutons. That's it for the salads. Easy to forget about. The meat and potatoes came in at a fairly good time. I should have asked for the butter and sour cream on the side (do it) there was plenty. The spuds were well cooked and hot! We were both pleased with the cook and flavor of our beef. I had reminded our server about the missing shrooms. We waited and waited. We wanted them and my Red Wine with that BEEF! They came but there should have not have been a wait time. Mushrooms are meant to be eaten with beef. Just try to tell be I am wrong! However in their defense they were delicious. Prime 757 kept a rather large piece of Brass Bell. Go have a great meal and look for it. read more

Wow, this place is another hidden gem!!! I remember when they were a small food truck parked at Commonwealth. Now they've officially opened up a brick and mortar and man they took it out of the park! My family and I stopped by because it was super close to our house and we were hungry. We both ordered the Ribeye with a side of mashed potatoes and my husband had macaroni and cheese. We were super impressed with how well seasoned all of the dishes were. We loved that they had a kids menu. We ordered the fried chicken tenders and broccoli for my kiddo, and my husband was eating her tenders and said it was delicious. Our meals came with a side salad and rolls with honey butter, which is always a plus. The calamari was delicious and even better with no sauce on there. It was well seasoned. I wish it came with more because I tore it up and my husband was eating what little was left. I highly recommend and will order it every time I come. I wish we took pictures, but we inhaled the food! Our daughter's french fries were also good and gave me chik fil a fries vibe. If I didn't have so much to eat, I would've ordered the truffle waffle fries. I know it was probably really good. Overall, we will definitely come back because my husband was still talking about this restaurant the next day. Even the couple at the table next to us were talking about how good the fried fish was and how much they enjoyed their meal. Our server Ava was also amazing and tentative! Please give them a try because you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere and the interior design was well thought out and was giving slightly fancy, fine dining, date night eats. read more

We had dinner last night and sadly for what we paid we were disappointed. The food was good, I'll give you that but the attention to detail is lacking especially for the cost. I had the shrimp grilled, husband had the 10oz Prime Rib and my dad had the burger. Our waitress was very nice. She admitted she was pulling a double and very tired and it reflected in her service. We did like talking to her, she was very personable but looked like she needed a nap. She kept calling the prime Rib the Rib Eye. And had to have my husband point it out. She asked witch burger my dad wanted when there was only one listed. (There is two burgers listed online but the menu handed to us only had one) there is 6 salads listed online but only 4 on the menu. We kept having to replete things as our server took our order. Me: I'd like the shrimp, grilled please. Server: and what salad and side would you like. Me: Ceaser and the broccoli please. Server: and how would you like the shrimp, grilled and fried? She never asked my dad how he wanted the burger. I had to stop her before she left to tell her he would like it well done. She said they only do burgers "a little or no pink". Yes please he would like no pink. Bread was advertised on the menu with 2 of our meals. We never got any bread. We had to ask every-time we needed ice tea refills and she had to take our glasses each time: you folks don't have a pitcher? Seemed time consuming. She never noticed that our water and tea were empty because it was kinda long between visits. It wasn't busy when we got it. Of 6 other couples who sat on our side after we arrived. 3 of them got distracted at the wait and walked out. For the price you're asking Prime 757, you need to really step up, train and support your staff to give top prime service and pay attention. For $100+ bucks it was lacking. Food tasted fine but we probably won't be back. Sorry. I won't even insult you and tell you the other three places my husband would rather get a Prime Rib at. Two are chains. read more

Honestly, we were worried. Prime 757 popped up as a food truck but the GPS directed us to a physical location. IThe restaurant was fairly empty but very well appointed with a full bar and contemporary interior. I noted that it had been open since 11am. We stopped for lunch around 2pm and there were no customers in the establishment... curious. The manager (maybe owner) came off as a bit overbearing when suggesting dishes since my partner specifically asked for a recommendation from the chef but I quickly understood once our server Ava noted that the space had only been open for 2 months. My perception shifted to an overly-involved manager/owner to someone who truly wanted to ensure success and share what their staff can do. The service was lovely, although I personally have a pet peeve with servers touching their hair during service. Ava was attentive, followed the rules and nailed suggested selling (go Ava). The food, delicious. The chef, King recommended the pork chop. It DID NOT disappoint. Moist, flavorful and enticing to the eye the pork chop was the star of the table. However the burger and fish po'boy were very close contenders. Tender, flavorful and satisfying are just a few words that can describe the culinary experience. My only regret was we weren't able to try any cocktails (I had my eye few of the coffee based drinks). Not to worry, it'll be top of mind for next visit. Great job, Prime 757! read more

Went in here on a whim as we previously had been to the Brass Bell and were excited to try out Prime757. There were a few negative reviews we saw but decided to lean into trying a new place. The mixed drink I got was made with flat soda, we never got the asparagus we ordered; our waitress, while nice, was practically missing the entire time, and there were multiple occasions where my partner and I had to remind her of things and reiterate our order as she was not referring to items on the menu correctly. (For example, my husband is incredibly allergic to seafood and upon ordering, he asked for the NY Strip with bacon wrapped asparagus... yet there was some confusion about it possibly being the Oscar Medallion?) On top of all of that, everything moved at a snail's pace... we didn't have water or anything to drink for 20mins and the food took forever to get to our table; plus side though, at least it was hot when it arrived. The food was good, drinks were meh, and atmosphere is more in line with a local grill kinda place; not quite the $30-50 plate kind of ambiance you'd expect. (Oh also, there is no changing table so mamas have fun changing your little ones in the car.) Service was NOT anywhere near what you anticipate to receive with a $200 tab. I would like to see this place succeed because I love to support local, but there are quite a few kinks for them to work out before they become a staple. I believe the people who own it were there but there wasn't a lot being done to mitigate any of the above... which made the experience feel even more lackluster. read more

The ribeye steak was cooked exactly how I wanted and tasted amazing. I also really enjoyed the creamy mashed potatoes on the side.

Awesome food! Ordered 2 French dip sandwiches, one with cheese, one without, and an order of hushpuppies. Everything was great. Hushpuppies were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. And the sandwiches were perfect. The roll had a slight crisp to it while the meat and onions were perfectly cooked. I definitely recommend the French dip but I cannot speak on the seafood, however if it's anything like the sandwiches it should be great. read more

This review is for the actual restaurant and NOT the food truck. They had a soft opening this week in August and I had to check it out. They did a great job on the renovations and it was definitely an upgrade. I love that they did honor the Brass Bell and have a huge sign that says Brass Bell near the bathrooms. We were seated immediately. There was a delay on the ABC license so there were no cocktails. We just had water. My sister doesn't like seafood and we had a big lunch so we decided to do a bunch of apps and sides. We started with Steak Bites and mozzarella sticks. The steak bites were good and plentiful. They said the dip was horseradish but I tasted more ranch than horseradish. Presentation was non existent. It's tough though because usually making it "pretty" means the parsley or lettuce or whatever gets thrown out. The mozzarella sticks were fine. Then we got the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything came out really fast. Mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were both delicious. Loved the crusty top on the mac and cheese. The broccoli was not good. A bit overcooked and no seasoning whatsoever. I like on the menu they have the food truck popular items marked. They also have a private room that holds around 16. Service was great. They are still working out kinks but that is to be expected. The owner came over and checked on us. I want to go back and check them out again and see if there will be a HH menu. :) read more

This was our first visit to Prime757, located in the old Brass Bell Steakhouse site at Independence and Pleasure House Road in V.B. Completely remodeled. Upscale environment with modern lighting fixtures, comfortable booths, very stylish. Our waitress was excellent. Attentive with perfect timing, asked the right questions, made a great wine recommendation for my wife. Top notch professional all the way. I ordered an Old Fashion made with Basil Hayden bourbon. Very nice. We started with two garden salads which were very fresh and crisp. Delicious. Being our first time, we played it safe and ordered the prime rib. Hers medium and mine medium rare. Both grilled perfectly. She ordered grilled asparagus which she said was not mushy, cooked crunchy and just right with the creamy mashed potatoes, which really were creamy and enjoyable. My steak came with perfectly cooked broccoli, again not mushy with some crisp left in each bite. Additionally, I had the sweet potato casserole with mini marshmallows on top. I'm not a fan of the marshmallows, but the casserole itself was outstanding and enough to share together. A very pleasurable side dish. We had an amazing first-time experience. I was excited to try 757Prime, expecting high-quality USDA Prime cuts based on the name. Unfortunately, the steaks served were not Prime grade -- they were decent but not what the name implies. If you're going to name your restaurant "Prime," it's reasonable for customers to expect top-tier meat. The service and ambiance were okay, but the branding feels misleading. Just be upfront about what you're offering so guests can set expectations accordingly. read more
