Visited July 25th in Oroville…read more I had a heavy comforter i bought and wanted to wash it and was told by a friend that this is a clean laundromat. It is super clean! Such a nice surprise to find this place! All the machines appeared to be working and their counters were clean! They have large capacity appliances as well. It will cost 2.75 for a standard wash with more options depending on your needs. They also offer to wash and fold your laundry for a fee. Just be aware that there is the occasional homeless around the area. BTW. THEIR AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENS AT 6AM WITH AN ATTENDANT ON DUTY BY AROUND 7AM. I got there at 6am and the door unlocked right on time! Nice and clean!

I came here from Dash, after it switched from Bubbles to Dash. Dash has gone downhill recently,…read moreespecially after they either let go of the attendant (or she left because she wasn't paid enough or something?), as the attendant was the best part of Bubbles. Anyhow, I'm here to write a review of Sunshine, not Dash! Haha Anyway, Sunshine is definitely cleaner. The machines are newer. One downside is that it's really really hot. Also, it's a bit more expensive than other places in Chico but (a) not much more and (b) it's totally worth it because they spent a ton of money on all new machines. The other downside is that there's no sink!! No running water. That's kind of a huge one. I'd say it's a great place, but I like coming in the evenings and there's an attendant there that STANDS OVER YOU, almost an hour before closing, starts washing the floors around your feet, closing off sections that can be used to fold, and instead we have to all smoosh together in one section, it's a little nuts. Entire time she keeps telling everybody what time they close and "it would be nice if the people can possibly leave earlier" because her back hurts. She even suggested to me that I could "fold my clothes at home" if I wanted to! I was speechless. The final complaint was that it was 106° out that day, and into the evening (9:00) it was still hot out but much cooler outside than I was in Sunshine, because of the dryers. So I like to open the doors when it's cooler, so that the cool air would come inside, but she always closes it, telling "that's my job, I have to keep the door closed." I understand that she's following the rules but sometimes common sense can override some of these things and she can definitely cool the place down opening the door for an hour, especially since she is there to watch over everything/everyone. Overall, I'd say sunshine is a 4 and a half, but I'm so seriously bothered by the attendant (can you tell? ) as well as the fact that there's no sink, so I'm going to rate it a 3, because a sink is pretty essential and the attendant can often make or break a laundromat. So my advice? Don't go the last 2 hours before closing time! Other than that, it's far from downtown, so no worries about the homeless element. I'd still watch your stuff, but it feels safer and it's cleaner.

To make matters worse, the coin machine shorted me, and there wasn't an employee around to help.
