Cute little Thai chicken sandwich place in Glendale. Look, I really wanted to love this place to support my Thai peeps but I have to keep it real, it just wasn't it for me. Now don't get me wrong the food isn't bad it's just a miss for me. Others love it but I just thought it was ok. However, the service was good and the staff was friendly. They even allowed us to try the sauces which was really helpful so we knew which to choose. We got the chicken sandwich with green curry sauce and it was just ok. The sauce is good, the chicken is good but we didn't like it all combined in a bun with coleslaw and pickles. For us it just didn't seem to go well together. We liked it all separate rather than combined as a sandwich. It was made fresh and it's HUGE! My aunt and I split the sandwich between the two of us and we barely finished. My aunt is Thai and she thinks a Thai coleslaw would've paired better with the sandwich than the coleslaw that was on the sandwich and no pickles. I mean the coleslaw wasn't bad but I agree it didn't seem to go with it. We also got some wings and fries. Half the wings with the soy glaze and the other half with the honey orange sauce. Now the wings were delicious and I really liked the fries too and the cute little box the food came in. I think if I were to go back I wouldn't get the chicken sandwich. I would try the chicken rice bowl. I feel like I would like that better. I'd also return for the wings. I liked the sauces in this order; green curry, soy glaze, honey orange, chickii sauce, peanut sauce and yellow curry. This place is worth a try to get a different take on a chicken sandwich and it's huge so you get your money's worth. I say give them a try. After eyeing this new chicken place that popped up in the tucked away corner of 59th ave and Beardsley for a bit, I decided I had to try it out. As soon as I walked in the owner greeted us, offered samples, made some recommendations, just overall a really great customer service experience. The inside is clean and bright. We tried the chicken sandwich, tenders, nuggets and pink lemonade. Everything was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. I loved the unique sauces and the fact you could customize the heat level. We got it to go and everything was packaged up so well. There was so much food for the price! They also have wings, bowls and ice cream on the menu! We'll be back to try out more. read more

This place is awesome and if they keep it up, I wish them all the success in the world. I was greeted by Andrew, who explained the concept of "Chicken with Thai flavors" (Im probably paraphrasing). Lucky for me, I love Thai flavors! Andrew asked which ones I liked and brought me some samples to try. I ended up liking the yellow curry and got a sandwich with that. I also got some strips, which Andrew said actually came in a quantity of 4, instead of 3 as the menu said. That's sweet! A bonus strip! For the strip sauces, I chose Chickii sauce and green curry. For the spice levels, I chose hot. The food came out in what I thought was a reasonable amount of time for the concept. If you're in a super hurry, there's a Jack In the Box across the street, though. Andrew was very interested in my perception of everything in real time and lucky for everyone involved, the food looked great. Food came out very hot, so if you're a stickler about that, you're in luck. It came out hot and stayed that way, even after I left the strip box open after peeking at them. The amount of chicken on the sandwich seemed very fair for the price and the chicken was hot, crunchy, juicy, and delicious. It came with fries as well. I'm not very particular about fries, so I won't comment on them, other than to say they weren't bad or anything. To me a fry is a fry, unless they are all dolled up. The yellow curry sauce was tasty and the spice level of "hot" was pretty accurate. The strips were similarly tasty and appealing. I did enjoy the Chickii sauce, which seemed like a honey mustard type sauce. The green curry sauce wasn't bad, but wasn't my jam, so I'll be excited to try the other sauces on my next visit. I had a "Thai tea lemonade" and that was tasty also. I don't know if I'd guess that's what it was in a blind taste test, but it was still darn tasty and I'd get it again because of that. The restaurant is definitely more suited for takeout, there are only a half dozen seats at a high top counter, so probably don't bring the family reunion. Overall, this place was great! I'm excited to come back and tell friends and bring them. Also excited to try other menu items as well, but I was very full from my sandwich and strips. Andrew seems pretty excited about the whole thing, so I hope if you read this far that you dap him up when patronizing this fine establishment and don't take his shine away. I'd love to see this place and concept flourish and grow and be here for a while. It's a nice change of pace. read more

For the readers looking for the short answer, A MUST TRY because it's DELICIOUS! I know it hasn't even been a month since they've opened (not even a week I think) but I will be a regular here. I was just trying to figure out what I wanted for dinner and Chickii came up so naturally, I had to investigate lol I'm sorry but Thai style chicken?!? YES PLEASE!! The owner was very kind and soft spoken. I can see the excitement as a new business owner while he was telling me all the flavors and sharing that he doesn't use frozen chicken and believes in always cooking things fresh. The place was simple and clean. There was a few seats if you wanted to eat-in with like a bar-top table by the entrance/window. No other tables or seating as of yet but I also didn't ask if they're planning on putting any other seating for dining in. I got the Rice Bowl with Honey Orange flavor with medium spice, and a Thai Tea. The chicken portions were great and I loooove that there was plenty of rice. The chicken was juicy and crispy, can definitely tell it was fresh. Overall, very happy with everything. I'm 100% coming back to try the other flavors and getting the fresh house-made Lychee Lemonade. Oh and their coconut/Thai tea swirl soft serve was AMAZING!! Yummyyyy!! Such a friendly guy at the counter! He offered a sample of almost everything. The chicken was juicy/tender and the batter crunchy and flavorful. All the sauces were good yet I favored the peanut one. We only tried the sandwich, no fries, no drinks. The space is bright and clean with a few tables to dine in but I imagine take out is their main game. Stopped here after date night with wife. We are from Tucson, so we just went with whatever came up on this app that looked good. We weren't disappointed. Walked in and there was someone waiting and another couple looking at the menu. We ended up waiting no more than 15 mins. Definitely worth the wait. We "split" the sandwich (hot) with the peanut sauce. Damn. I ended up eating like 80% of it. My wife thought it was also great. She had the fries with mild heat and the chickii sauce, she enjoyed it. Chickii sauce is your typical mayo based, canes style sauce. I had the rice bowl with the orange sauce, mild as well. Delicious and did not disappoint. This spot is my ultimate new favorite place to go and eat. Absolutely delicious and flavorful! The owners are super friendly and helpful too which makes dining here even better. Just go try it. It's da bomb. You'd be hard pressed to find a better fried chicken sandwich anywhere in the area. They bring Thai flavor to a modern classic.. Its stacked high with a solid 1/2 lb of chicken, wonderful crust/batter...I got the chickii sauce and it was tasty. The spice levels are pretty accurate. The slaw and pickles help balance everything out. It's a big juicy, saucy sandwich that you'll enjoy stuffing your face with. I will be back to try out some of the other flavors. Love the idea of the peanut and curry sauces. The fries were also delicious, the seasoning on them is like crack. It's a small place in the corner of the parking lot. Our group ordered a chicken sandwich with yellow curry and chicken tenders with green curry and soy glaze. All the sauces were excellent. The chicken was crunchy and full of flavor. It's honestly good even without the sauces. Mango lemonade was so refreshing and went perfectly with the chicken. If you love Thai food and you love fried chicken, you'll love this place. Flavors were: Chickii (mayo base), Green Curry, Yellow Curry, Peanut and Soy Glaze. All were delicious. We ended up ordering 2 sandwiches, one with peanut sauce and the other with chickii. Sandwich was shareable, flavorful held the crispness even having to drive 20 mins home. Love the pickles and slaw in the sandwich. Would have liked to have more of the sauce. Such powerful flavors and spices that puts any Nashville Hot Chicken restaurant, let alone fast food, to shame. Hands down the best hot chicken sandwich in the valley. Chickii has the best tenders in town!! Canes is not on their level. (Only thing better is the Texas toast). The French fries have a great seasoning flavor and their selection of sauces is incredible, think their signature chickii sauce and chickii curry sauce are two of the best sauces I've had. I would 100% go back all the time! I highly recommend everyone go and try it out! I ordered the four-piece chicken tenders (2 medium and 2 hot), fries, coleslaw, and pickles. It came with two sauces as well. These tenders were a great size, and they came with plenty of fries. They weren't too hot and weren't wimpy. The fries came out as a mix of some well done and some cooked just right. Personally, I like the variety. The sauces definitely enhanced the tenders, and they helped cool down my palate a little bit as well. The only downside is that it took a while to receive the food, but I can respect why. I don't know for sure, but there might be a small staff in the back preparing the orders. Totally understandable. So, just prepare yourself to wait a bit. Super friendly people though!
