I was so excited that they opened a location in Bluffton!! I live in Pooler and work in Bluffton and used to come into work late just to bring in lunch (work starts at 9 and chicken salad chick doesn't open until 1030) to friends at work so Bluffton is the perfect spot for a new location ! To my surprise this location has a DRIVE-THRU! the line went by super fast and Michelle was very patient and super sweet. I'll definitely visit this location for my future lunches!

I really like this place! A drive-thru establishment without feeling too guilty afterwards. I really enjoyed the limited Delicious Dill when it was out. My go-to is "The Chick" with a sandwich and a side of loaded potato soup. Super good, filling, and hits the spot. I would go multiple times a week if I could. Thank you for giving us good, regret-free food!

Buffalo chicken salad, fresh fruit, pickle, mini buttercream cookie

I came here on a whim and decided on the Buffalo chicken salad sandwich on wheat. I also received a side of fresh fruit. The meal also came with a pickle and mini buttercream frosted cookie!! Everything was so fresh! The main reason for the 5-stars is not the food. It the amazing drive thru service. The cashier was friendly and extremely personable!

I mean it's high dollar chicken salad. Nothing really special about it except the price.

Excellent chicken salad prepared on a spotless kitchen. Good value. A bit hard to find in a shopping center. Call ahead for directions.

Classic chicken salad is barely edible. Food is processed into a pastse and ladelen with large amounts of salt. Price is too high.

And it was the chicken was cooked to order, came out super hot, and was both crispy and juicy. The greens were super flavorful and needed no added spices. I'm not a big cornbread guy but took a couple bites anyway. The jalapeños weren't over powering and offset the sweetness a little. My server was amazing!!! She greeted me as soon as I walked with lively smile and great attitude. At first I was confused if it was fast casual or full service as they takeout section is in the center of the restaurant. She explained that you can do both, so opted to stay for lunch. I wish I could recall name, because she is worth requesting.

Looking back, we probably should've kept right on walking. We ordered the fried chicken, potato wedges, red rice, New Orleans rice, and cabbage, jalapeno cornbread and pecan cornbread. Unfortunately, the only things we actually enjoyed were the fried chicken and the potato wedges. Once again, it was an epic fail. The cabbage tasted like it had been boiled in plain water with absolutely no seasoning. Both the red rice and the New Orleans rice reminded us of Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's microwavable rice--bland, lacking flavor, and nothing like the rich, seasoned rice dishes we were expecting. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the potato wedges were cooked perfectly, but those two items weren't enough to save the meal. We came hoping for authentic Southern comfort food, but left disappointed. Sadly, this is one restaurant we won't be adding to our list of places to revisit.

Lowcountry Backyard was one of those places that feels like it's been there forever in the best…read morepossible way. Quirky, unpolished, a little tucked away, and absolutely full of character. It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

Stopped by for dinner since this spot came highly recommended and had great reviews. Was expecting…read moreto be blown awhile, but unfortunately, my family and I left thinking the food here was just okay. Started off with the May River Blue Crab Dinner, which came packed with crab! This was good - warm, creamy, and slightly cheesy. It came with tortilla chips and pita bread - tasted better with the tortilla chips IMO. We all decided to share the potato chip meatloaf sandwich, low country boil (for 1), and seafood parlor (with blackened fish). Overall, all these entrees were just okay. The meatloaf was too mashed for my liking and had decent flavor. It was essentially a large chunk of meat sandwich between two slices of thin pita bread. The seafood parlor was good, and came with a decent amount of shrimp, sausage, and blackened fish. The red rice was slightly overcooked, but all the protein was cooked nicely. I could have done without the sweet chili sauce. The low country boil was plenty for 1 or to share. Service was good, especially with the restaurant being constantly busy.
