    Chicken salad sandwich
    Airon A.

Was looking for a place to eat dinner before the game and discovered Chicken Salad Chick in Hancock Center. I had seen some advertising on social media when they first opened and was excited to try it. They are known for serving chicken salad, soups, sides & sweet treats made from scratch daily with fresh ingredients. This restaurant offers a variety of chicken salads including fruity, savory and spicy options. I have never seen as many varieties of chicken salad as they serve at this restaurant, they have something for everyone! There was plenty of parking available and there was not a wait. The restaurant was a shade of pastel green and had images of Austin displayed around the dining room. We placed an order at the counter. Because of all the options, I had trouble making a decision. However, they offered us samples of the different varieties of chicken salad to help us decide. I went with the one scoop meal and choose the Fancy Nancy sandwich with grapes, celery and pecan on wheat bread. You have the ability to customize your meal and choose one or two sides from a variety of options, I added a side of fruit. The sandwich came toasted with a generous portion of chicken salad and also included a pickle spear and a lemon cookie. Service was friendly and efficient, which makes grabbing a quick meal easy and enjoyable. The staff came by to check on us at the table and brought us to-go containers. I signed up for their reward program and am excited to return and try more varieties of chicken salads.

I don't live by a chicken salad chick so whenever I can, I love to grab some food from here. I love chicken salad, and these don't disappoint! I also really enjoy the broccoli salad, and the little cookie that comes with it.

While grabbing lunch at Kismet Café, I noticed the new Chicken Salad Chick next door and popped in. Chicken Salad Chick is a fast-food chain that serves a variety of chicken salads with fresh ingredients. Immediately, you are attracted to the bright colors and Barbie like caricatures. Chicken Salad Chick sells 12 kinds of chicken salad ranging from classic to spicy. Since I already bought lunch, I thought I would buy some chicken salad to go. The Quick Chick cabinet looked so inviting. Therefore, I purchased the Fancy Nancy (chicken salad with grapes, apples, and pecans). Although I got the smaller potion of the chicken salad, I found it surprisingly dense and very filling (definitely shareable). I really enjoyed the different textures within the chicken salad. They also had a variety of desserts such as red velvet cake, white chocolate cake, butter cream cookies, and chocolate marshmallow crispy bars. Look forward to trying some of their other menu items...

We had been anxious to see this place open and we were happy to try it. The menu holds lots of details so a bunch of newcomers (like us) stopped to stare through the options of salads and sandwiches and sides. You can try a scoop of any salad. The chicken salad is their speciality. I decided to try their turkey breast sandwich, which came with sliced turkey pieces, not a filet, so it's a lighter fare. Our food didn't take too long at all. They brought it to our table. We enjoyed our visit and I hope to try their salads and yummy desserts.

I really liked it. The old Olivia, Lauren's, and Holly were delicious. The owner Troy met us and gave us a white chocolate slice of cake. It was delicious.

Delicious chicken salad sandwiches and fresh fruit sides. Very friendly service. Nice, relaxed casual restaurant. A few different chicken sandwich flavors. One of the best chicken salad sandwiches I ever had. Friendly and fast service.

I admit I'd not heard of Chicken Salad Chick when I snagged an invite to their "Friends and Family" pre-opening. I saw it was a chicken salad based restaurant and that intrigued me. My daughter also told me the place is TikTok trendy right now... so there's that. The whole kitsch of the restaurant is what I would call modern grandma-core. That's not a bad thing.. it's very "I Dream of Genie" era decor and that matches the chicken salad and the fixin's menu. The chicken salad was good. I like mine a little more chunky... but everyone has a different spin on the classic... and the flavors were there. I tried several versions... the Carols Classic, Jalapeño, some with nuts and grapes... but to me the sides were the star. They have a bangin' broccoli salad (lightly dressed with cheese and bacon) and their spinach salad was delicious. Tortilla soup was spot on as well. After trying all the different chicken salads, I decided to go off script and order the turkey bacon club on a croissant. Was happy with the choice. This is a fun little take on 1960s cuisine and I can see meeting friends for lunch or taking a date here would be a good choice. The staff was great and they allowed me to order a "to go" for my kiddo who was feeling under the weather so that was great (this was a pre-open service so everything was free... so it was very nice for them to let me to do that and my kiddo loved the baked potato soup).

This place isn't bad for a quick lunch. The service was really good. After looking over the menu for a bit, I was offered free samples of any of their chicken salads. I went with the Dixie Chicks oniony one as a BLT on a croissant. The bacon of the blt was cold and sad but the sandwich was still good after I took it off. GOOD lettuce and tomato. I got the pasta salad on the side which was bland but the strawberry lemonade I had with it was perfect! They also give you a lil packaged frosted cookie that also tasted bland and mass-produced but it was cute and complimentary. It was a bit overpriced, in my opinion but I'd go there again with a coworker for lunch, if they were paying.

Love Chicken Salad Chick. Glad it's in Austin. This was a place we would go in Alabama when visiting family. The service was great and the place was clean.

Ordered sandwich platters for a baby shower. Customer service was amazing from the start. Eduardo helped me with how much/what kind of food I should order. The sandwiches were such a hit! They were delicious everyone loved them. We also got the fruit platter. The dip was so yummy and the fruit was nice and fresh. Would definitely order from here again!

You can exchange the default sides for some other options for a little extra charge. It was wonderful to see how generous the portion sizes were, including the sides! The chicken was perfectly friend and breaded in my opinion while keeping the white meat tender -- it was still like that even after I put the leftovers in the air fryer the next day. The baked beans were very flavorful and the sweetness complimented the savory chicken well. The cheer on top moment was the fact that the chicken was seasoned with a spicy seasoning so there was a bit of a subtle spicy aftertaste in each bite! I'll definitely be back again! :)

Parking is a bit hard since it's in downtown, but there is a parking garage across from the restaurant and it's only $5 for 0-2 hours, which I think is the best you can find. Mona's (a portmanteau of the parents names' first syllables) has a small menu of traditional offerings, from samosas, patties, parata rolls, and chutneys. The truck is helmed by Momma Mona but her twin sons run the operations and have crafted the recipes. I tried several items and it is absolutely ridiculous how delicious everything was. The samasos of potato (papa) were expertly crafted and reminded me of flautas de papa when they are done right. Crispy, flavorful, and "light" ... just perfect. The parata rolls, made from an egg based recipe, was expertly crafted; the shami kabab was filled with beef. Paired with the mint chutney, it was a great balance. The sauces were on point and varied in heat level, but nothing excessive. Sameer (sp?) explained that the sauces are a bit on the milder side to accomodate the taste palate but the spiciest version had some punch. Last but not least was the beef patty which was a stellar, absolutely phenomenal flaky pastry with their signature shredded spicy chicken. It rivaled some of the best bakery offerings I've had, the flakiness left me laughing out loud from the quality. Whenever I venture into another culture's cuisine, I can certainly tell if I like it or not, but not how rooted the dishes are. I appreciated Sameer's discussion of his families food; his mom has been in the industry for years and finally decided to venture out with her twin sons. I'm glad they did. The craziest realization was that there was likely so many drunk patrons who stumble out of Shangrila at 2:10AM likely have no idea they had some of the best Pakistani food you can find. *Shout out to Joe from Taano Beverages for the rec; he's neighbors with Mona's. It hits every time. The mayonnaise, the pickles, the perfectly crisp chicken: you can't miss it. As a side, I ALWAYS without fail get their Tater Tots. They are consistently crispy while remaining soft on the inside. Sometimes I will get it seasoned with their Tingly Sichuan, but the heat is sometimes too much. I cannot recommend the tots enough. Spicy Boys is one of those places that is always there for you. They are consistently open and the people making the orders are putting a ton of dedication into making them smack every time. The sandwich alone comes at $9.50 with the tots at $3.50, which seems on par or slightly lower than a typical food truck if my memory serves me right.
