This is my favorite chicken hotpot in nyc. Their fried mushroom is also the best one I've ever had in USA. Our waiter is very friendly and helpful. Chicken is juicy and tasty. Veggie are very fresh.

This is the best dry hotpot place in Flushing! I love their speciality chicken hot pot. It is definitely one of a kind. Their flavor reminds of my childhood food in northeastern (东北)China. I would definitely come back for more!

Malatang

Delicious! My husband ordered a Chicken pot, and I ordered a Malatang ,both delicious!! Love it

Chicken with Bullfrog Pot

Great portion and quality. I highly recommend this place for getting spicy food around Flushing.

Have been coming here for many times since they opened. The food is delicious here! Staffs are very friendly! Another important is it's very clean . They have sticker "A" on the window. Highly recommended place.

Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

The mushroom was my favorite and loaded with fresh mushrooms. -beef tongue rattan pepper: at first the pepper was not overwhelming but with time it was numbing my tongue which was a bit uncomfortable -sliced beef tendon: delicious -prime beef slices: they weren't that soft and not super well marbled. The bowl that our mushrooms came in was rusted... kind of ruined my whole experience. At least server was super nice and attentive. Wouldn't come back though.

The hot pot itself I think was average but the real standout for me was the appetizers. Seating in a booth tucked away in a corner on the first floor was a bit awkward to navigate. The sauce station downstairs was not well maintained and several items were out of stock, but that may have been because it was around 9PM. Second floor seating and sauce station are better. Food 4.5/5: Main complaint is that their menu is really confusing, despite this being my second visit. There are 4 pricing tiers. Everyone in a party has to choose the same one, so it can get pricey fast. Higher tiers include seafood and more premium wagyu cuts. You still get unlimited wagyu in the lowest tier but seafood is not included. I think this setup is fine because premium seafood items like lobster and crab tend to clutter the pot and are difficult to deshell while hot but also taste worse after cooled. Although the premium wagyu cuts do taste richer and "melt in your mouth," most of the fat is renders into the broth. Therefore, I don't think hot pot is the best way to enjoy wagyu, so the higher tiers didn't feel worth the price. The best part of the meal was definitely the appetizers and specialty dishes. The wagyu bone marrow was amazing and a must-try but only available to the second tier or up. Ambiance 3.5/5: I think being tucked away in a corner booth made the experience less enjoyable. The table was small for a party of 6, so we constantly had to rearrange dishes whenever new food arrived. It was inconvenient that everyone had to get up whenever I needed to refill my drink or sauce. Service 4/5: The first floor sauce station wasn't restocked throughout our stay so options were limited. Otherwise no real complaints regarding service to our table.

Haidilao honestly sets the bar for what dining service should feel like. From the moment we walked…read morein, it never felt rushed or transactional--everything was intentional, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. They kept surprising us with little extras throughout the meal, which didn't feel gimmicky, just generous and attentive in a way that's rare. What really stood out, though, was something that happened before we even sat down. My family and I were outside juggling a bunch of stuff, and one of the workers noticed. She wasn't even actively assigned to us, but she came over, held the door open, and insisted on helping carry everything in. She didn't just drop it off either--she walked with us all the way until we were seated. That kind of effort, especially when it's not "required," says a lot about the culture there. Beyond the service, the value is just strong. The quality, portions, and overall experience easily justify the price. It's one of those places where you leave feeling taken care of, not just fed.

I love me a good hot pot. I can have it once a week. My sister who is not really Chinese (she's so…read moreABC), recommended this place to meet up for lunch. I was shocked since she is not a fan of Shabu Shabu but she recently gave it a try and now she loves it. I'm like OMG, all those years of missing out. I have read a lot of amazing things about Haidiloa. There are 7 locations in L.A./SF and one in Flushing. I asked the waitress if she knows if one will be opening up in Jersey. She was sweet enough to take the time to ask her manager and inform me that yes, they are planning to in the next 2-3 years. Now that is incredible customer service. We went for the lunch combo $19.99. Seems like everyone else around us was going for this deal as well. You get a platter of veggies and one protein choice and rice or noodles. My sister chose the sliced fish and I got the pork belly slices. We also shared a few à la carte dishes...sliced Angus Beef, shrimp, corn, and tofu. I will say that these items were pricey and can add up. Ooh, make sure you leave a little room for the desserts at the bar. Lots to choose from. I was beyond excited for their drink menu. I got the Seven-Infused Jasmine Milk Tea. For all you Molly Tea fans, this one tasted just like one of their jasmine drinks. And it's only $4.95. Service is a solid 10/10. Waitress wore gloves to take the shell off the shrimps for us. She constantly came by to make sure everything was good. You will surely be well taken care of. We left a very generous tip. Overall it was an epic hot pot experience. Love love love all the little details like the cute aprons, bag for your jackets, little snack treats to bring home, hair ties for the ladies so you can tie your hair up and eat. Lol. There are even toothbrushes and toothpaste in the restrooms. Reservations are a must unless you like to wait 1-2 hours. I cannot wait until they open one in New Jersey!

There's often a long wait on weekends, especially during the peak lunch and dinner hours. Lucky for us, we usually eat early dinner around senior hours of 4pm-5pm and less waits. Our kids go to Goldfish swim school which is literally across from the restaurant. This is the most convenient choice for us to sit down and have a quick hotpot meal. The food quality is one of the best around the area in my opinion. The broth is comparable to the other ones around Flushing. You order via a tablet and the food comes out fairly quick. The service has been great every time we been here. The sauce station carries some snacks as well, such as pigs ear, seaweed salad, peanuts. I think this may change from time to time. I also recall them charging everyone $2 to access the sauce station when they first opened, but I didn't see that on my bill last week. Overall, this is a 5 out of 5 for quality, service, convenience, and overall experience. The space is big and you're not being crammed next to another party.

I like the idea of unlimited side dishes and desserts (with an additional price). The service was okay, the waitresses were able to answer our questions about price ranges. But, 1. Probably because we didn't order as much food. ‍ (Additional info: this place is not ACYE, therefore, you pay by the price of each item)
