Today I had the most awful experience at the Chicken Express Lockhart. To start the store MANAGER was downright nasty, rude, disrespectful, aggressive, argumentative, unprofessional, low-down, and had the UGLIEST attitude. Need I go on? I think I will. We simply asked whether or not a drink came with the Catfish dinner and she rudely stated that if we had looked at the menu we would have known that it did not come with a drink. The manager simply had to say that the drink did not come with the meal and apologize for any misunderstanding. Instead, she continued to argue, raise her voice, and aggressively go back and forth with us stating that she explained the difference between the combo and dinner from the beginning when she CLEARLY did not. Never in my life have I dealt with someone in the service industry who was so rude and disrespectful. As a person who holds a managerial position, she should have been more polite whether we were right or wrong. This situation has angered me! My family and I will not be returning back to this location. No customer deserves to be treated with such disrespect especially not from someone who holds a position of authority as she does. My daughter loves to eat here. Sometimes I think she is going to turn into a chicken!! I will tell you, they have the BEST SEEET TEA IN TOWN! I will wait in line for a large Tea for .92! You literally have to walk in and order your meal to make sure you get what you ordered and even then they slip some old tenders in your box. It's 8pm on a Friday night and they are out of rolls, give you biscuits that are raw. I have a bag of dough for biscuits. You know they had to notice it when they put them in the bag. They say can you wait on hot tenders and when you get home you have a few hot tenders and the rest are hard and cold. The box of fries did not even have enough fries for two to eat. This is ridiculous, take some pride in the food you are selling. Why must we go back every time to replace an order that you assured the customer was right. I have tried to give this place a chance. After continued bad experiences, I feel I need to write a review. I went thru the drive-in window today at noon. No one responded after a long wait, so I drove around to the window. The lady assumed I had ordered, but I told her no one took my order and I finally drove forward because I thought the machine was broken. I then ordered the 2-piece Chicken Tender snack meal with one side and a large unsweetened iced tea. The tea is so bad, I put it in the refrigerator and fully intend to drive back and return it. It tastes like soap or cleaning agent of some sort. The tenders were so tiny ($6.07 total with the .92 cent tea included) that I took a picture of the tiny little things in the big box. And they were tough, not "tender". The roll was old and hard on the edge. This was at 12 noon today. The size of the tenders are smaller and smaller. They get the contents (order) wrong more than 50% of the time--put in a biscuit if I ask for a roll. I can't wait for the new chicken wing place to open. read more

This place has the worst customer service; I will not be returning. Recently I ordered a 16 piece mixed family meal and when I got home the box was filled with 12 chicken wings. I called and asked for the manager and she stated, "Well, maybe we didn't have chicken ready." When I arrived with the wrong order the manager set her phone down, threw the wings loudly in the trash and my replacement was taken from under a warmer and placed on the counter. The manager got back on her phone and neither she nor any of the other employees standing around apologized for assuming I'd want 12 wings instead of the actual order I placed.
