Me personally, I'm not a fan of their sandwiches in general, so I usually opt for a salad, soup, or flatbread/pizza. I love their seasonal salads, as well as their tomato soup and bread sticks. Once in a while, we will grab their pizzas on BOGO Wednesdays. My son enjoys their chicken caesar and tomato soup. And always gets extra breadsticks. Hubby loves their sandwiches. So, it works for all of us. At times when we feel like a treat, we will order the cinnamon rolls, or the centers. They always seem fresh when we do. We have never dined inside, however, the drive-thru at times can be busy. Also, be sure to pay attention when going thru the drive-thru as it is very narrow. Again, it's Schlotzsky's. Nothing fancy, but a great option for a sandwich spot that has a drive-thru.

Both my friend and I commented on the length of time it took to prepare a standard item from their menu in the afternoon. It shouldn't be a production or an imposition to prepare their chicken bites and fries. While I know the manager who brought me my order meant well, it shouldn't be a big deal to tell me that my order is hot. Second -- the condiment rationing continues unabated since the Chicago gang took over. The condiment trays are now kept under the counter. The staff doles out the famous Whataburger ketchup packets as if they are a rare commodity. As for the lemon packets that used to be in the beverage area, those now have to be requested and the staff have to go into the back of the restaurant to find them. The food is ok -- but the stinginess and the speed of service tell me there's better fast food options -- even in a small town.

I usually don't go out of my way to leave bad reviews but this couldn't go without say. Went…read morethrough the drive-thru and ordered a golden chicken sandwich and lemon pepper wings. It was decently busy in the drive-thru but once I paid I was told to pull up front. Problem #1: So the drive-thru line leads straight to 183 aka a highway while the parking lot is on the left side and you can't quite get over there unless you get on the opposite side of traffic to pull into the driveway or circle the block to enter the back entrance. Problem #2: Once we got settled in the parking lot we waited another 10 minutes so I went in to check up on our order and was told it will take a minute. Waited another 5 minutes and I noticed the bag that had the sandwich was put in in front of me from the side, so I wanted to see if the sandwich was still hot after sitting there so long which it wasn't. I usually don't care but who I'm getting the sandwich for is picky about food being cold when they get it. I asked if the lady who looked like the manager running the whole kitchen if the sandwich is cold or not, she replies "Maybe You Should Check For Yourself" So I did and it was ice cold. So I asked for her to heat it up or make a new one which she said she will and she did but... Problem #3: So that sandwich got back to me in 1.5-2 minutes after and I started heading home when my partner after a few bites realized the sandwich had instead of the typical thick chicken patty that comes with the sandwich Ive bought idk how many times, it had 3 chicken tenders covered with a slice of cheese. And to make matters worse them tenders were DRY AS THE DESERT IN EL PASO. Do better Golden Chick

We tried to tell them their AI was bad and wasn't working right, got no response from the person working. We drove away frustrated. Using AI is unnecessary for fast food orders. The manager stepped out to have a cigarette break and there's only one young lady inside. Well I go in I say good morning and watch her putting trays of bread inside the bread fridge they use. Not once did she acknowledge me! She continued to put the bread up and when finished about 2 minutes later you could barely hear her say, what can I get you. Which I didn't respond because I didn't hear her. She repeated it again a tiny bit louder and i said in here for pick up order under Crystal. She handed me the sandwich and I grabbed and left. I didn't say one word to her nor her to me. This was the most horrible customer service I've received moving here to Lockhart which it's been 3 months. You know with my cravings and going to the store I'm thinking it could've been any store having a great service will give you great energy for your day.
