    Chicken and sides.
    Peter D.

If you need to feed a family in the Caymans quickly, this is your spot. It's tucked in a strip mall just off the beach, but they're roasting chickens all day long, and they've got the sides to go with them. For around $80 CI, you can get two roast chickens, four large sides, four pieces of cornbread, and two huge cookies. The chicken is in the name for a reason, and the amazing rotisserie is worth the price of admission alone. They do occasionally overcook the birds and render the breast meat dry, but in my limited experience they get it right more often than not. The gravy they serve with it adds a little juice when necessary too. The sides I love: the fresh jicama slaw, the pesto pasta salad, and the spicy crisp vegetables. The Caesar salad is surprisingly good too. The sides that are fine: the rice and beans (very little beans, no sauce to write home about), the wild rice pilaf, and the carrots. I'm going to drop the cookies here too, as they leave a lot to be desired. The sides I wish they had: mac and cheese. How can there be no mac and cheese here? This feels like an oversight that someone should correct. All in all, a solid piece of our Caymans experience.

This was our first stop after a LONG 12 hours up and travel to Cayman Island. I ordered the lunch Jerk chicken, crispy veggies and cayman garden salad. Everything was amazing, fresh and a good amount of jerk species. My honey ordered the jerk chicken wrap with Jimaca coleslaw, and piece of Caribbean cornbread. He ate it all too fast to snap a photo. I tasted the cole slaw, none better. These ladies can cook up a Jamaican Jerk meal. The service was courteous. The restaurant is very clean and air conditioned well!

There's chicken. Then more chicken, and when you get tired of chicken... MORE CHICKEN! Chicken Chicken is a locally owned restaurant that serves, well you guessed it... chicken of every kind under the sun! Since I decided to give my wallet a break from dying, I decided to go to Chicken Chicken and get takeout. When you come in, you will notice the bright walls, the giant mirror, and most notably the rotisserie positioned near the window, where all the chickens outside can watch their brethren die in horror. (Brilliant move there, Chicken Chicken.). Chicken Chicken is not a sit down thing, but there are some tables, but otherwise, it's a takeaway place. The service is very fast and kind. We got the whole wood roasted chicken, which was like a rotisserie, but more flavorful than one; it was pretty good but not exactly economical, for take out. It was tasty but not the best chicken I've gorged upon, but still good. I also got some some Jamaican jerk chicken, which was too spicy and just okay, but overall, I was satisfied with Chicken Chicken. Tl;dr: Chicken Chicken is a locally operated restaurant serving all kinds of tasty chicken, but not the greatest chicken I've ever had. (Try the cookies!)

Great customer service! Cute little restaurant. Very large portions on the dinners. Several choices of sides. The chicken was VERY good! The spicy veggies are so good, but pretty hot!

We eat here every time we visit the island which is once every year and sometimes twice. The fire roasted chicken is fantastic and the jerk chicken is also good. It's always hot, juicy and tasty. We were the only customers in the restaurant when we walked in last week. The staff was busy doing things behind the counter that were more important than us because we had to wait several minutes for them to finish before they acknowledged us and took our order. The space dining area is really small but efficient. We will continue to always stop in when we are on the island.

Great place for a quick meal in Georgetown. The chicken is fantastic and the sides are pretty good. We got two of their plates and ate in the restaurant. Service was fantastic, everyone was so nice. Love that you can see the chicken cooking in the oven. The side dishes were a little hit or miss. We really liked some and some were ok or a little cold. The carrots were great but the rice was a little on the colder side. Very reasonable for the price point. This will be a place we will visit each time we visit Grand Cayman.

I'll call myself out, I couldn't figure out where to check in for our reservation (100% a me problem, not theirs!). The kind gentleman who saved me from wandering through the wrong gate ended up being our server, and his recommendations were spot on all night. We sat in the screened dining area, which I'd definitely recommend unless you're one of the lucky people mosquitoes don't seem to notice. The menu is gorgeous and immediately gets you excited to order. There are so many creative, tempting options that choosing wasn't easy. We started with the tuna crudo, and wow...lights out. One of the best I've had anywhere. For my entrée, I followed Taj's recommendation and ordered the tiger shrimp with the chili oil on the side. Great call. I could add just the right amount of heat without overpowering the incredible red miso sauce. The sourdough served alongside deserves its own shoutout, it was fantastic. My husband had the snapper and loved every bite. The accompanying salad was fresh, bright, and tossed in an outstanding citrus vinaigrette. By the end we were completely stuffed and couldn't squeeze in dessert, which may have been the biggest disappointment of the night. Guess we'll just have to come back. Excellent food, warm hospitality, and a memorable dining experience. Ms. Piper's is absolutely worth a visit.

Not sure why they were hesitant. There are tarpons that they feed in the water which was cool. The food was good, probably 4/5 stars. The ceviche was delicious but perhaps a little too sweet for me. I enjoyed the conch soup but it honestly just tasted like a beef soup I did not get conch flavor. The lobster bisque was only okay. The mains were the star, with the fresh catch of the day being perfectly prepared and the sides being on point. Where they really lost me was the service. We got water initially and did not get more until after we got the check. We would have ordered more cocktails or dessert but it just took way too long. Food came out quickly so I don't think it was the kitchen. We had to flag down someone to get the check and then we ended up paying in cash as it took over 15 min for them to come back to let us pay. While waiting for our entrees they did do a call for kids to wash them feed the fish which my kids seemed to enjoy. They couldn't get over how big the fish were. We started with the coconut shrimp and escargot (kids first time trying escargot and not fans). For the main entrees all 3 kids got the junior lobster from the kids menu, which was a great deal. I was jealous of it myself! I ordered the seafood penne which was quite large so my kids polished it off after their Junior lobsters. My husband got the Cayman trio (lobster, shrimp and mahi mahi). I ate half of his lobster which was sooo good. Dessert was 2 key lime pies for our party of 5- the perfect ending to a delicious meal!

Definitely make a reservation! Our table (#46) was waiting for us when we arrived, and Michael took wonderful care of us all evening. He made choosing from the menu a little easier, though that's no small task when every dish sounds better than the last. The cocktails were outstanding. Don't overthink it, just order one (or two). The house bread comes with Johnny Cakes, and they absolutely deserve the hype. They're somehow the perfect cross between cornbread and a beignet, dense, slightly sweet, and completely addictive. Pace yourself... both literally and figuratively. For appetizers, we had: * Ceviche of the Day - Wahoo when we visited, and incredibly fresh. * Tuna Tartare - This was exceptional. The sauce alone is worth writing home about, grab a spoon because you won't want to leave a drop behind. For our entrées, we both chose the Catch of the Day. My husband ordered the wahoo cooked medium-rare, while I had the grouper. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We couldn't leave without dessert, so we ordered the Coco Taco. I couldn't even tell you everything that's in it, but if you love chocolate, this dessert is pure happiness with layer upon layer of chocolatey goodness. Cracked Conch was the perfect way to end an amazing Grand Cayman vacation. The stunning setting, excellent service, and memorable food made it one of our favorite meals of the trip.
