We had breakfast at anchor and den. The service and atmosphere were great. The peach Bellini was the best we have ever had. The huevos rancheros was good. The Continental buffet was very fresh and had a large selection.

Anchor and Den is the main restaurant for the Grand Cayman Marriott. The restaurant is like the hotel with the Summer House Theme and is a great vibe. The staff would remember us each morning coming in to eat. They have a fantastic DJ and vibe each night. I had way more to eat here than i took pictures but everything was fresh and fantastic. I even got home the same weight i left and no idea how i did that but maybe it was the Avocado toast. Even if you don't stay at this hotel they are worth a visit on Wednesday Lobster night!!

Located inside the Marriott- easy parking, friendly staff and delicious food! Stopped for breakfast before heading to 7-mile beach

It's almost impossible to get Sunday brunch reservations at Anchor & Den, so plan accordingly. It's a beautiful space in Marriott's lobby and has plenty of your brunch favs available for tasting. We received a welcome drink upon entry and brunch included beer, wine, mimosas and a signature cocktail. I enjoyed everything I selected to sample. Everything from breakfast options were fresh, the carving station had the best chimicurri and the dessert bar provided for vegan options, if your heart desires. I think I had a little of everything, certainly wasn't disappointed with anything I chose. Cocktails were excellent There's a courtyard right outside looking out for an amazing oceanview. Just make sure you take pictures BEFORE you eat.

Great desserts. Like seriously, it's a perfect place to wind down with a drink and a dessert (or two)! Would also recommend the dinner too, nice selection, good service. We have been there 5 -6 times over the years, it's always good.

I am incredibly WOW'd by Anchor & Den. I stayed at the Marriott (this restaurant/bar is located inside the Marriott attached to the lobby) for 2 nights and I must have had a permanent seat here. I came for breakfast twice, drinks and snacks, and dinner twice. That's A LOT of eating at one place in such a short trip. Here are the top reasons why I really loved Anchor & Den: - They have the biggest collection of gin on the island. It's impressive! They even have a beautifully made booklet of all the gins, their stories, and information about them. It's awesome to drink the gin (especially at Friday happy hour when they have discounted gin cocktails and fun food platters) and read this book while using a pirate voice. - The CONSISTENCY is amazing. I ordered the octopus twice (talk about pure succulence. They cook it perfectly) and it tasted exactly the same between the two different days - EVERY dish I had was great. The wagyu beef was a standout and comes with a nice veggie side. The pork buns... I'm drooling just thinking about them. The lamb shank was so tender and was over a bed of perfectly whipped potatoes. The dishes are very, very thoughtful and well prepared. The sushi, especially the seared salmon roll... I'm drooling. The presentation is really nice as well if you appreciate that. - The SERVICE is amazing. The staff (obviously) got to know us after dining and drinking there often. They are extremely friendly, prompt and professional. - The ability to dial up or down. If you're wearing a cover up, it's perfectly fine to sit at this beautiful bar/restaurant in your bathing suit and flip flops. It's nicely decorated, yet approachable and friendly. I really loved it here. I literally spent over $500 in food and drinks here. Would I do it again? Hands down yes.

Great food and drinks! I always sat at the bar and the bartenders were super nice! The Vista Sushi roll was delicious. The sushi was very fresh. I had several items off their menu as it's super convenient to eat here. Everything was delicious. You can also order it to go. Some days I would grab breakfast and eat it outside.

The ambiance is great. Low key and elegant. The drinks were delicious and the food cooked to perfection. The staff is very friendly and took very good care of us.

We enjoyed breakfast here. Know you can ask for the buffet or ala carte offerings. The hashbrowns were amazing while the jerk chicken omelet was good but missing the flavor. The service was great with refills throughout. Overall we enjoyed our meal

Loved coming to Anchor and Den so many times during our stay at the Marriott! All of the restaurants on the property are incredibly knowledgeable about allergens. I've never been to a restaurant repeatedly where everyone asked me if I had any allergies before we even placed our order. Some of my favorite meals included the snapper, poke bowl with tuna, prawns ajillo, charcuterie, and burger. They have excellent gluten free sandwich bread also! The service at Anchor and Den was among the best I've ever experienced - even better than at many high end hotels that we've stayed at previously. Would highly recommend the Marriott and Anchor and Den to anyone looking to stay on Grand Cayman.

Absolutely incredible food. Everything we had was delicious. The best food on the island was right in our hotel. Plus the servers were super kind. Would love to come back here.

Unión Grill and Bar…read more Marvia, Chaz, Mona, Pinkta, Paulo, Dona, all of the chefs, and the music man himself Nathan Herrera made our night Wednesday night memorable. I want to say thank you for such a WONDERFUL evening for our anniversary. The service, the food, the music, and the atmosphere was a lovely experience. We opted for tapas and the ribeye with the mushroom sauce. We ordered the sizzling shrimp, lamb skewers, pork meatballs, lobster bisque, and the mussels in a cream sauce. The sizzling shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly in a garlic butter sauce. The lobster bisque was creamy and smooth with a wonderful depth of flavor. The lamb skewers were juicy and it was served with garlic aioli. The pork meatballs were good, but the mussels which were served in a garlic cream sauce was so delicious. We selected the mushroom sauce with our ribeye steak. It was cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce tasted good with both the steak and the mashed potatoes. Wednesday night was Paella night. I didn't get to get any but it sure looked and smelled good. For drinks we ordered the Pornstar martini. It was really tasty slightly sweet with a fruit/mango type flavor. I never had one before, and now I'm a fan. Every single bite was beyond delicious. This was an epic night for my tastebuds which is not an easy feat to overtake. Visiting this time in the winter allowed us to sit outside on the patio without feeling too hot. It was very comfortable (a bit of wind). The servers were pretty friendly and the food was average. We had some sides along with our mains. I had the snapper but I found it prepared a bit dry. The pan fried side was a bit too much making the meat somewhat tough for my liking. The sauce that it was in was nice and the veggies were good. My husband had the ribeye and he said that it was ok but he prefers more flavour and better char. I liked the Brussels sprouts and Cesar salad. The mashed potato was interesting as it tasted like it had sour cream mixed in? Overall ambiance: 4 Service: 3 Food: 3

We were pleasantly surprised by their outdoor dining area right on the water and the tarpon swimming along side the deck (fun fact if you have kids, they feed the tarpon at 7:30pm and if you order seafood, you can chuck your bones and leftovers into the water for the fish). Service was quick and friendly. We were seated promptly, orders taken, and food delivered all in reasonable time. We ordered the conch chowder and calamari to start and both were very good. The fried snapper came with escovitch on top (pickled onions and carrots) along with beans and rice, veggies, and plantains. The whole fish was perfectly fried and crisp. The plantains were a surprisingly nice touch of sweetness and the escovitch added some extra flavor to the fish. Kids got the shrimp linguini and fried shrimp which they both liked (and enjoyed tossing the tails in the water for the tarpon to finish off). All of this was chased down by a caybrew bottle. A great meal at a reasonable price in a beautiful spot. Note that this restaurant is close to the cruise port so on port days, it's likely very busy during lunch.

The food is definitely the highlight here. The drinks were just okay and didn't really stand out, so it's probably best to stick with wine or beer if you're ordering beverages. It lacked the richness, spice, and depth that define it. Instead, it felt diluted and unfinished, as if the key elements never made it into the pan. The "curry goat" was even more disappointing. The sauce was thin to the point of being soupy, with little to no curry presence. The dish had no body, no warmth, no layering of flavor just water where there should have been depth. Even the rice was off, adding nothing to salvage the plate. These are foundational dishes in Caribbean cuisine. To miss the mark on both so completely is not a small oversight it's a fundamental failure in execution. I've included photos for context, because the presentation reflects the experience.

But this was worth the cab fare. My family agreed that grand cayman has the best bread baskets and cracked conch was no exception. It was a big basket that disappeared pretty quickly. We started our meal with cracked conch , which we figured had to be good here. I loved conch when visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean growing up but it was the last thing I ate in my teens before getting super seasick on a boat and then my conch days were over. I decided I could give it another shot 30 years later and it was delicious. We also shared a delicious Cesar salad to start - the only type of salad my kids eat so we had a lot of them during our vacay. For my entree I went with the conch chowder and octopus. I ate all the octopus (delish) but that filled me so had just a little bit of the conch chowder which was pretty good. My husband also raved about his mahi mahi. My kids ordered off the "big kids" menu and went with the wagyu beef and frites which they seemed to like. They had been eating seafood all week so this was a nice change for them. Our waiter was very on top of his game and great with the kids- probably because he has 5 of his own. We thought the service was great everywhere in grand cayman and this was no exception. However, it was great being next to the Ritz because we would walk over for lunch and drinks (my kids said they had the best virgin pina coladas). We ate at St June's many times during our week long stay. It's a beautiful restaurant with tasty food and very slow service, but they were also extra busy for the holidays. My biggest pet peeve is not being able to get a lounge chair at a hotel pool, but it looked like there were plenty to choose from at the Ritz pools even during the week of Christmas. They have a few different pools, but the one facing the beach seemed to be the best one (from what i can tell). And the waterpark looked like something my kids would have been all about years ago. They do allow non members to use their tennis club for a fee. I took their cardio class 4 times and my daughter joined me (16+). We had 2 different instructors and I enjoyed both. There were a few too many warm up drills for my liking, but once we got in the games it was pretty fun. And it was fun meeting people from around the country who I got to know pretty well by the end of the week. The class itself is only 50 minutes, which i found to be the perfect amount of time to get your vacation day started...especially in the heat. And the best part was they have someone walking around picking up balls, which means more tennis for us! I'm not a golfer, but it looked like a nice golf set up to me. However, i had some major golfers in my tennis class who weren't thrilled with the golfing and were headed to another course in Grand Cayman. The location is right on 7 miles beach and in walking distance to so many restaurants. There's no need to rent a car and you can easily get taxi service too, although we found taxis to be very expensive. Overall, I found it to be a beautiful property. The prices over winter break were pretty steep and the cost of a room with 1 king bed was more than what we were paying for a gorgeous recently remodeled 3 bedroom condo. If i were going back to Grand Cayman with my entire family I'd opt for the Coral Stone Club again, but I would definitely consider staying here if it was just my husband and I...or the price was right for a suite (or 2 rooms) for my entire family.
