It lacked the richness, spice, and depth that define it. Instead, it felt diluted and unfinished, as if the key elements never made it into the pan. The "curry goat" was even more disappointing. The sauce was thin to the point of being soupy, with little to no curry presence. The dish had no body, no warmth, no layering of flavor just water where there should have been depth. Even the rice was off, adding nothing to salvage the plate. These are foundational dishes in Caribbean cuisine.
