It lacked the richness, spice, and depth that define it. Instead, it felt diluted and unfinished, as if the key elements never made it into the pan. The "curry goat" was even more disappointing. The sauce was thin to the point of being soupy, with little to no curry presence. The dish had no body, no warmth, no layering of flavor just water where there should have been depth. Even the rice was off, adding nothing to salvage the plate. These are foundational dishes in Caribbean cuisine. Pace yourself... both literally and figuratively. For appetizers, we had: * Ceviche of the Day - Wahoo when we visited, and incredibly fresh. * Tuna Tartare - This was exceptional. The sauce alone is worth writing home about, grab a spoon because you won't want to leave a drop behind. For our entrées, we both chose the Catch of the Day. My husband ordered the wahoo cooked medium-rare, while I had the grouper. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We couldn't leave without dessert, so we ordered the Coco Taco. I couldn't even tell you everything that's in it, but if you love chocolate, this dessert is pure happiness with layer upon layer of chocolatey goodness. I said well after I mixed it was a little better. I don't think a waiter should contradict what a customer says if there is a problem; he should help to alleviate the issue. Obviously, somebody didn't stir the cocktail sauce well, still the pepper was a bit heavy. What's troubling is I specifically asked the waiter if the sauce would be hot , as in spicy. My friend said the duck was very nice. As I recall, they served some complementary bread and it was good. I hope to go back to Palm Heights, where this restaurant is located, and I am sure to go back to Tillies.
