Best food where all the locals eat! Lobster tails, grouper curry and amazing local food budget friendly! Highly recommend!!!

    Coconut Grouper

One of our favorite restaurants in the Cayman Islands. Small, locally owned, great service and amazing seafood. Coconut grouper has always been a favorite, but we have enjoyed the Wahoo and Mahi Mahi as well. The sides are always rotating, so it is fun to get surprised by whatever they are cooking that day. Would recommend to anyone wanting some fresh and tasty Caribbean cuisine.

This place is amazing! It's in West Bay away from the tourists. There are tourists that come here, but it's definitely authentic. We had the conch fritters, coconut mahi mahi and the escovitch grouper. It comes with saffron rice and a homemade roll. We enjoyed it all, but the grouper was or favorite and the rice is also delicious. The escovitch was spicy with scotch bonnet salsa which is right up my alley. I highly recommend this place to all. Also it's located right on the ocean and when you are done eating you can cross the street to a public beach. We had the entire beach to ourselves. ***Side Notes*** $2.50 (USD) on public bus from the port per person. About 18 minutes give or take. The bus drops you off restaurant side and when you're ready to go back cross the street for pickup. When the bus comes through they give a little beep beep. Put your hand up and they will stop. This is not a public city bus from the US. Think Sprinter Van. Has the credentials on the window. Get out there!

The first meal I had in Grand Cayman did not disappoint. I had the curry grouper and it was wonderful. The guava juice I had with it was the best I've ever had and I needed more daily. The service was great and they had a steady crowd so I instantly knew this place would be a hit. I enjoyed it so much that it was the last place I ate before heading home from vacation. On my next trip, I'll try a few more things on the menu.

If you are in Grand cayman this is a great place for lunch. Fish was fresh and the BBQ was yummy. The lady who runs the place is amazing, it is like your mum cooking for you. Don't be in a rush but it's the island do you should not be in a rush anyway. Seating is picnic style outside with quite a few chickens as friends.

4 kids of fish served 8 ways... if my math is correct I should be semi aquatic by Tuesday. This is not where the tourist bus stops. This is where locals grab the fresh fresh.

I absolutely love this place and love the energy of the owner of this establishment. She doesn't serve alcohol but there is a liquor store right behind her restaurant that you can buy and bring to your table. All outdoor seating on picnic tables.

I decided to get my kids and I a nice dinner for a Friday night and ordered through DoorDash. Firstly the shrimp I paid an extra $8 for as a topping to my steak was missing. Luckily DoorDash refunded that, but of course they couldn't do anything about the inconvenience of missing a big part of your meal. The meal listed "sweet potato" as a side and showed an actual sweet potato. What I got was a small cup of mashed sweet potato, the kind they put sides of dressing in. Same with their side of Mac n cheese. Quite small for sides. The 8oz steak had about 3 good pieces and the rest was all fat. So that was a disappointing $30 meal. I got unsweet teas for all three of my kids' meals because they can't have sugar. All three teas were sweet. So I had to make them tea at home so they weren't disappointed. I spent over $100 on this Friday night, supposed to be NICE meal, and entirely wasted that immense amount of money. Last time I'll be getting a nice meal take out in Macclenny; they've really got the WORST service here and horrendous prices. Do yourself a favor and avoid this local restaurant.

Unfortunately, I'm not in the area that much, and only once did I make the journey just to come here. What is the draw, you may ask? Great beer, great food, great atmosphere, great vibes! , That said, every meal I have had here has been delicious. The beer is pretty darn good & cold too! Of course, with the long drive...ya gotta limit it. But it's worth it for anything on the menu. I don't know where to start food-wise, I am trying to eat my way around the menu. The gator tail and fish dip are two of my favorites for small bites/appetizers. The Elk burger, the Taphouse burger, and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich are always amazing....and then there's the cole slaw...yummy! Delicious food, and they have more than just sandwiches. The menu offers a little something different. The atmosphere and vibe are always inviting, and the staff is super friendly. The prices are fair, portions are ample, and there is plenty of parking. The decor is fun too! Not to mention, they give a veteran discount with proof of ID. What more can you ask for? Well, I know what I can ask for! To the owners: pretty please, with sugar on top, consider opening a location in St. Augustine. Not in the downtown area, but the folks north of town need something; they need you! Around the Palencia & Kensington area, off US 1 to be exact...or anywhere nearby in that area. The folks there would love something they can walk to, ride bikes to, maybe even use a golf cart to get to...and yes, a short drive is good too. Jus' sayin'! Please just check it out...I said pretty please!

When having my boyfriend and his momma pick me up after a work trip to have a weekend to visit…read morethem, they suggested this location for lunch before we made the drive back to Eustis where she lives. They had mentioned seeing some good Yelp reviews, and the menu looked intriguing. I had already had breakfast at a great locally owned place, so my appetite was smaller. What We Ordered: - Oyster Po Boy: my boyfriend and his momma split this, and they both said it was okay though they HATED the gumbo. Very unfortunate as when splitting they had to pay for an additional portion of it. - Blackened Mahi Sandwich: this was recommended by our waitress who started out fantastic, but ultimately disappeared after food delivered so I went without a drink for quite some time. I did eat enough a portion of mine before running out of coke, so I had to pause eating as I need a liquid as I eat. I had split this with my boyfriend, so he enjoyed his fully warm. Mine was good for those first few bites, and really enjoyed the fries. They remind me of the filmstrip fries you can get in Disney's California Adventure. - Coke + Lime: if the machine is calibrated, this is always a win for me! It definitely made a travel day better. Sadly, between the waitress being inattentive after the food was delivered and there being quite the unsavory show being played, this was a miss for me. Who plays Steve Wilkos in a restaurant? It's the modern day Jerry Springer show. I just find that baffling to be quite honest, though we did get a chuckle at it while I waiting desperately for a refill so I could eat the remaining portion of my meal.
