Icy cold beer!!

Amazing food, and awesome service from Canadian Jessie. Highly recommend this place for a casual bite and ice cold buckets of beer.

Big Bang Nachos

Tex-Mex in the Caymans? Yep, they do it and they do it well, with a bit of a Caribbean flair. First things first - you definitely want to sit in the covered outdoor area along West Bay Road - it's the liveliest and nicest of the spaces, with its big bar and nicely sized dining area. There are a lot of big screens around for sports fans, and the beer list (both bottled and on-tap) is pretty impressive. The Big Bang Nachos are truly huge, a plate piled high with cheddar jack, black olives, scallions, pickled jalapeños, onions, sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. Pace yourself, especially if you're planning on something hearty for dinner, as these nachos are quite satisfying and will fill you up! A couple of us had the wraps, with one of the chicken wraps featuring jerk-style chicken and mango salsa, a nice flavor combination. The star of the evening, though, was the Jerk Burger. We had read that Lone Star has the best burgers on the island, and the combination of the jerk spices in this burger will satisfy anyone who likes a bit of heat in their food. A fun atmosphere, good food, and great service - definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for a very casual, T-shirt and shorts evening out on the island!

The menu looked inviting and it was our 2nd choice when we found the the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed on Mondays. We chose to sit inside as we didn't want to continue to deal with the humidity. It was dimly lit with only the neon and TV's giving off any light. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Fries and my Wife had the Cheese Fries with Chicken. My sandwich was pretty bland and the fries were burnt and tasted so. My wife's Cheese Fries was a huge portion and was tastier than my sandwich. The sodas were bland as well, just above being flat. Service was molasses slow and lax (they weren't busy either). Server was friendly, but not enough for customer service. If you are dependent on tourism for your business you need to step it up. We most likely would not go back or recommend to others.

Just a great bar - Texas style. Loud-ish, super friendly service, sports channels everywhere. 'Nuff said.

We really like the bar here. Trivia on Tuesdays at 8. Food can be good and can be mediocre. Service is really friendly and good.

My son's Chicken fried steak was tasted by 4 of 6, all said it was inedible. Ribs were dry and overcooked. Never again!

The food is definitely the highlight here. The drinks were just okay and didn't really stand out, so it's probably best to stick with wine or beer if you're ordering beverages. That said, the atmosphere makes up for it. The location is very cool and relaxed, and it's an easy walk from Camana Bay, which is a big plus. All in all, a very nice spot with solid food and a convenient, enjoyable location.

It lacked the richness, spice, and depth that define it. Instead, it felt diluted and unfinished, as if the key elements never made it into the pan. The "curry goat" was even more disappointing. The sauce was thin to the point of being soupy, with little to no curry presence. The dish had no body, no warmth, no layering of flavor just water where there should have been depth. Even the rice was off, adding nothing to salvage the plate. These are foundational dishes in Caribbean cuisine. To miss the mark on both so completely is not a small oversight it's a fundamental failure in execution. I've included photos for context, because the presentation reflects the experience.

Ms. Piper's is right next to the Hampton Inn. The taxi driver recommended it when she dropped me off, and the front desk helped me secure a reservation. I was seated quickly after a pleasant greeting. Even though there were empty tables, the ones that were occupied had smiles and joy on people's faces. The place definitely lives up to its slogan, "share the love" -- I felt it. I started with a cocktail called La Vie en Rose, which was especially fitting since it's one of my favorite songs to sing. My server, Juanjo, was friendly, always smiling, and gave me great recommendations. It was a very relaxing experience. Watching him move around his tables, I noticed he was smiling even while clearing dishes. He moves with vitality and lifts the energy of the whole place. I told him so. The butterfly snapper was beautifully done -- both taste and presentation. The croquettes were tasty with the sauce, and the pepper had just enough spice to remind you it's still a pepper. A good combination. I ended the meal with a cup of rooibos tea. Highly recommended. There are so many dishes to choose from -- and the meal I had was definitely too much for one person!

For entrees we ordered the half chicken with coconut rice which was a hearty portion and paired well. The star of the show was the arroz meloso, the chicken jus is outstanding underneath the risotto, I genuinely tried to get every drop.

There is live music, at least the Saturday night we were there, lovely background music. As for the food, I have not had a bad bite. It's the Cracked Conch, so you have to try conch. We had the ceviche, which was delicious, light and refreshing. For mains, my husband had the fish special, a tuna, cooked rare, spiced perfectly. I had the crab cakes, lightly fried, and delicious. We never eat dessert but tried the apple, it was a beautiful white chocolate green apple, with an apple, cream, crumble filling. Beautiful and tasty! Definitely worth a visit!

But this was worth the cab fare. My family agreed that grand cayman has the best bread baskets and cracked conch was no exception. It was a big basket that disappeared pretty quickly. We started our meal with cracked conch , which we figured had to be good here. I loved conch when visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean growing up but it was the last thing I ate in my teens before getting super seasick on a boat and then my conch days were over. I decided I could give it another shot 30 years later and it was delicious. We also shared a delicious Cesar salad to start - the only type of salad my kids eat so we had a lot of them during our vacay. For my entree I went with the conch chowder and octopus. I ate all the octopus (delish) but that filled me so had just a little bit of the conch chowder which was pretty good. My husband also raved about his mahi mahi. My kids ordered off the "big kids" menu and went with the wagyu beef and frites which they seemed to like. They had been eating seafood all week so this was a nice change for them. Our waiter was very on top of his game and great with the kids- probably because he has 5 of his own. We thought the service was great everywhere in grand cayman and this was no exception. This was our last dinner in GC and I think we saved the best for last

My husband and I dined here twice during our stay at The Kimpton and loved being right on the beach listening to stellar live music. We ate an assortment of tacos in addition to churros, elote and ordered margs to wash it all down. We thought overall, the tacos were mediocre to good. My husband loved the elote, and I thought it was fair. If you check this place out, I recommend coming on a Tuesday when you're allowed to order the tacos a la carte so that you can try a variety versus having to order three of the same type. My favorites were the tuna and chicken tacos. The churros are tasty and don't even need the chocolate sauce!

We went specifically for the pina coladas, and they did not disappoint! They were strong and creamy! It was frozen so it was perfect for the warm weather! The staff was great, they were happy, but didn't come by too much. There is a parking lot close by if you do not stay at the hotel, so no problems parking. My only concern, and the reason for giving it 4 stars was the food portion. We did order food for dinner one day, and the portions were extremely tiny. Especially for the price. I would say come here for the drinks, and go elsewhere for the food. If I ever come back to Cayman Island. I will come back here for sure!
