My husband and I dined here twice during our stay at The Kimpton and loved being right on the beach listening to stellar live music. We ate an assortment of tacos in addition to churros, elote and ordered margs to wash it all down. We thought overall, the tacos were mediocre to good. My husband loved the elote, and I thought it was fair. If you check this place out, I recommend coming on a Tuesday when you're allowed to order the tacos a la carte so that you can try a variety versus having to order three of the same type. My favorites were the tuna and chicken tacos. The churros are tasty and don't even need the chocolate sauce!

We went specifically for the pina coladas, and they did not disappoint! They were strong and creamy! It was frozen so it was perfect for the warm weather! The staff was great, they were happy, but didn't come by too much. There is a parking lot close by if you do not stay at the hotel, so no problems parking. My only concern, and the reason for giving it 4 stars was the food portion. We did order food for dinner one day, and the portions were extremely tiny. Especially for the price. I would say come here for the drinks, and go elsewhere for the food. If I ever come back to Cayman Island. I will come back here for sure!

We were pleasantly surprised by their outdoor dining area right on the water and the tarpon swimming along side the deck (fun fact if you have kids, they feed the tarpon at 7:30pm and if you order seafood, you can chuck your bones and leftovers into the water for the fish). Service was quick and friendly. We were seated promptly, orders taken, and food delivered all in reasonable time. We ordered the conch chowder and calamari to start and both were very good. The fried snapper came with escovitch on top (pickled onions and carrots) along with beans and rice, veggies, and plantains. The whole fish was perfectly fried and crisp. The plantains were a surprisingly nice touch of sweetness and the escovitch added some extra flavor to the fish. Kids got the shrimp linguini and fried shrimp which they both liked (and enjoyed tossing the tails in the water for the tarpon to finish off). All of this was chased down by a caybrew bottle. A great meal at a reasonable price in a beautiful spot. Note that this restaurant is close to the cruise port so on port days, it's likely very busy during lunch.

Any time staff is friendly at a busy port of call restaurant/bar, I have to respect them. The atmosphere with seating right next to the ocean is a delight. The Meh The food was ok, but not worth stopping for. I don't recall what we had, but it was just average. One reason for taking lowering the rating is the fans, while effective were turbo-loud. The food is definitely the highlight here. The drinks were just okay and didn't really stand out, so it's probably best to stick with wine or beer if you're ordering beverages. That said, the atmosphere makes up for it. The location is very cool and relaxed, and it's an easy walk from Camana Bay, which is a big plus. All in all, a very nice spot with solid food and a convenient, enjoyable location.

It lacked the richness, spice, and depth that define it. Instead, it felt diluted and unfinished, as if the key elements never made it into the pan. The "curry goat" was even more disappointing. The sauce was thin to the point of being soupy, with little to no curry presence. The dish had no body, no warmth, no layering of flavor just water where there should have been depth. Even the rice was off, adding nothing to salvage the plate. These are foundational dishes in Caribbean cuisine. To miss the mark on both so completely is not a small oversight it's a fundamental failure in execution. I've included photos for context, because the presentation reflects the experience.

I want to say thank you for such a WONDERFUL evening for our anniversary. The service, the food, the music, and the atmosphere was a lovely experience. We opted for tapas and the ribeye with the mushroom sauce. We ordered the sizzling shrimp, lamb skewers, pork meatballs, lobster bisque, and the mussels in a cream sauce. The sizzling shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly in a garlic butter sauce. The lobster bisque was creamy and smooth with a wonderful depth of flavor. The lamb skewers were juicy and it was served with garlic aioli. The pork meatballs were good, but the mussels which were served in a garlic cream sauce was so delicious. We selected the mushroom sauce with our ribeye steak. It was cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce tasted good with both the steak and the mashed potatoes. Wednesday night was Paella night. I didn't get to get any but it sure looked and smelled good. For drinks we ordered the Pornstar martini. It was really tasty slightly sweet with a fruit/mango type flavor. I never had one before, and now I'm a fan. Every single bite was beyond delicious. This was an epic night for my tastebuds which is not an easy feat to overtake. We were her for our anniversary and we were so happy with our choice. At the end of the evening, they offered to call us a taxi to go to our hotel and did. What a wonderful gesture. Visiting this time in the winter allowed us to sit outside on the patio without feeling too hot. It was very comfortable (a bit of wind). The servers were pretty friendly and the food was average. We had some sides along with our mains. I had the snapper but I found it prepared a bit dry. The pan fried side was a bit too much making the meat somewhat tough for my liking. The sauce that it was in was nice and the veggies were good. My husband had the ribeye and he said that it was ok but he prefers more flavour and better char. I liked the Brussels sprouts and Cesar salad. The mashed potato was interesting as it tasted like it had sour cream mixed in? Overall ambiance: 4 Service: 3 Food: 3

I was worried it may not be good if they had availability over the busy winter break, but the reviews were positive. And my youngest loves nothing more than lobster. We were seating on their lovely outdoor area overlooking the water. The service was a little on the slow side and it took our waitress awhile to take our order, but we found that Caribbean time moves a little slower than what we are used to...and that's fine by me while on vacation. While waiting for our entrees they did do a call for kids to wash them feed the fish which my kids seemed to enjoy. They couldn't get over how big the fish were. We started with the coconut shrimp and escargot (kids first time trying escargot and not fans). For the main entrees all 3 kids got the junior lobster from the kids menu, which was a great deal. I was jealous of it myself! I ordered the seafood penne which was quite large so my kids polished it off after their Junior lobsters. My husband got the Cayman trio (lobster, shrimp and mahi mahi). I ate half of his lobster which was sooo good. Dessert was 2 key lime pies for our party of 5- the perfect ending to a delicious meal!

Not sure why they were hesitant. There are tarpons that they feed in the water which was cool. The food was good, probably 4/5 stars. The ceviche was delicious but perhaps a little too sweet for me. I enjoyed the conch soup but it honestly just tasted like a beef soup I did not get conch flavor. The lobster bisque was only okay. The mains were the star, with the fresh catch of the day being perfectly prepared and the sides being on point. Where they really lost me was the service. We got water initially and did not get more until after we got the check. We would have ordered more cocktails or dessert but it just took way too long. Food came out quickly so I don't think it was the kitchen. We had to flag down someone to get the check and then we ended up paying in cash as it took over 15 min for them to come back to let us pay. I would not come back. The food was good but did not make up for the service unfortunately.

But this was worth the cab fare. My family agreed that grand cayman has the best bread baskets and cracked conch was no exception. It was a big basket that disappeared pretty quickly. We started our meal with cracked conch , which we figured had to be good here. I loved conch when visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean growing up but it was the last thing I ate in my teens before getting super seasick on a boat and then my conch days were over. I decided I could give it another shot 30 years later and it was delicious. We also shared a delicious Cesar salad to start - the only type of salad my kids eat so we had a lot of them during our vacay. For my entree I went with the conch chowder and octopus. I ate all the octopus (delish) but that filled me so had just a little bit of the conch chowder which was pretty good. My husband also raved about his mahi mahi. My kids ordered off the "big kids" menu and went with the wagyu beef and frites which they seemed to like. They had been eating seafood all week so this was a nice change for them. Our waiter was very on top of his game and great with the kids- probably because he has 5 of his own. We thought the service was great everywhere in grand cayman and this was no exception. This was our last dinner in GC and I think we saved the best for last
