I knew my mom always sauteed it in a fry pan, so I passed on the grilled version. I was really shocked when it was served fried with a batter like a chicken fried steak. It was only something like four dollars at happy hour prices. I would have had another, had I not been driving. Others in our group had chicken fried steaks, fried catfish, and fried shrimp. I could see that all of the portions were large. I specifically asked how everyone liked their food. Not one negative response in the bunch. That always makes me happy as the organizer.
