I am a very frequent Chick-fil-A custom. I frequent Chick-fil-A 3 to 4 times a week. I never thought I'd see the day, where I will be writing a bad review for Chick-fil-A.. And I must say this is the WORST Chick-fil-A I've ever VISITED, from employees. To the atmosphere of the restaurant. The restaurant was very dirty, the employees were not normal Chick-fil-A friendly staff. Down to the managers. This store is not a good example of a Chick-fil-A business Regiment. And then the manager Sean tells me they don't make milkshakes after 9 o'clock. Because they have to clean the machine for Monday since they are closed on Sundays. That is very unprofessional, very not Chick-fil-A like. I can go to Chick-fil-A anywhere else at 9:55 on Saturday And they will make me a milkshake with a smile. I would always brag to everyone how I love Chick-fil-A because of their service and their food. And had never had a bad experience. I guess that has changed as of now. I don't even want to say Chick-fil-A needs to do better, because it must be isolated incident with this particular restaurant. It's chick fil a. What else could you ask for. I know, how about quality service. There's no way you can mess up their food but as far as service is concerned this location sucks. I ordered a chicken sandwich meal for here and waited 14 minutes while others were served. Lex, the gent that took my order, disappeared after he said "I'll bring your meal to you." Fail sir. I love Chick-Fil-A food. No problems there. The customer service sucked on this particular day. I wanted a large IceDream cup & ended up with a small cup. The cashier got an attitude & walked away leaving me standing there with no large cup. I went to the manager & he promptly made my large IceDream. I then went online to complaints & within 3 weeks I got 2 coupons for a FREE chicken sandwich. This is great especially when I'm broke & craving some waffle fries! The chicken sandwiches at various locations can vary, but this is one of the few I've been to that every single time has been top quality. Many locations, you go in when it's not a peak hour, and the sandwiches are lukewarm, rubbery, and have obviously been sitting there for a while. Not here. The chicken sandwiches here are always piping hot, juicy and tender, and generously breaded. (Can't stand the locations that are miserly with the breading.) It's a breaded breast of chicken fried in peanut oil. It's friggin' delicious. But even better is the fact that there are ALWAYS enough cashiers working, and every single one of them is courteous. That is a rarity anywhere, but it's downright impossible to find in Silver Spring, where most stores/restaurants feature associates who seem annoyed that they find themselves forced to serve you. I've also always been able to grab a seat at this location, though it can get pretty crowded during rush hours. One minor qualm is that the line out the door was not well-thought-out. There's really no way to corral people properly, so the line inevitably extends out onto the sidewalk, even if there's not that many people in it, and it moves quickly. read more

I have a love hate relationship with Chick-fil-A. I'll start with the positives: Their customer service is great. The associates are always friendly and I love "my pleasure" at the end of each transaction. It always makes me feel as if they value my business. The negatives: The lines are ridiculously long, especially on a Saturday. Sometimes it runs all the way to the front door and the problem is because there are very few associates on the register. I understand that the operator wants to cut on payroll but it should not be at the expense of fast service. Another pet peeve is the charge for lettuce. I don't have an overt problem with the charge (even though other quality restaurants do not charge for lettuce or tomatoes) however If I'm paying fifteen cents extra for lettuce that is also taxable, I do expect a large piece to qualify for the extra charge. Most times it's BARELY a strip and it's such a rip off. I always have to make sure to let the associate know I want a large piece of lettuce else I will get a meager strip that amounts to nothing. I always order the spicy chicken sandwich which is most delish! however some days it's spicier than others. I don't mind if's extra spicy because that's what it should be considering the name. However consistency will be appreciated. I don't want to come on a Tuesday and get a "mild" spicy chicken sandwich and then on Friday have the same order be extra spicy. read more

The staff here are SLOW! We came for breakfast and got in line by 10:20. It was a long line but we were hopeful because there were 5 cashiers. 10:28 and we're next in line; 10:29 we get up to the register and just as we try to order breakfast they won't serve it any more. WTF seriously? We waited in line, it was still 10:30 by then, we made the damn breakfast cutoff, and they refused. If the staff weren't walking around like chickens with their heads cut off maybe we could've gotten to the front of the line faster. Or maybe they should just CARE about the customer. read more

All in all, this is a pretty good Chick-fil-A. It's conveniently located in downtown Silver Spring, which is always a plus, especially for a chain restaurant since a lot of times, the chains tend to stay out in the suburbs where they're not as accessible. Inside, I've never had a bad experience with the employees. On the contrary, the cashiers are always friendly, and the managers walk around, per the Chick-fil-A norm, and often offer to help get you a drink refill or take some of your trash. And of course, I would be remiss to not mention the food! The chicken sandwiches are always PIPING hot - in fact, there are many times that I have actually had to wait a little bit to start eating because they were SO fresh and hot! Delicious. Their pickles are always actually decently-sized too, unlike a few locations I've been too. Sometimes the waits can be long during rush periods, but other than that, it's a pretty great location. read more

My issue is the breakfast chicken minis bread, were not palaible, undercooked and doughie when we bit into it. I had to bring them home and toast them for 5 mins after we purchased them. It shows that the owner of this store takes pride in the selection and training of the staff (regularly the best service that I've ever had at a fast food place), and the appearance of the restaurant. Simple touches like small flower vases in the seating areas go a long way. The seating areas are spotless. There are many healthier options on the menu (pretty fruit salads), and I appreciate the variety of selections (diet dr. pepper!). I always enjoy patronizing this business. read more

This review is STRICTLY ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT THE FOOD. The food is fine and I thank you for that. My complaint lies within the type of service I've been receiving from various lunch time cashiers. The 1st thing I always observe is that the cashiers will pick and choose who they're friendly to based on looks of course. They'll act enthusiastic for one person and snobby with the next. One cashier in particular, Ms. Alexes had an unenthusiastic and catty attitude towards me. After she took my order, she made me wait 2 minutes before collecting my money. She told me my total and then decided to slowly fill a couple of drinks before taking my money-- typical passive-aggressive behavior. Please Ms. Alexes, do not continue to take your internal insecurities out on me or other customers. All I ask of Mr T. Parker aka Mr. Manager, is that you remind your employees to treat everyone alike. After all, us customers are stakeholders of your company and our business is vital to your increasing revenue.
