Ordered a cup of coffee with our breakfast. They brought our food without any coffee. My wife politely asked if we could get our coffee and they told us they would bring it to us. After another 5 mins, I went up to the counter. I stood at the counter for another 5 minutes without being acknowledged. Finally someone gave me a cup of coffee that was part of someone else's order. Ordered on line and drove to pick up, food was ready in 20 min. It was their 3rd day after opening. 2 lanes for the drive through backed up halfway across the parking lot. They had traffic under control, staff was polite and orderly. Parked 100' away and walked up, no problem. We had sandwiches and strips, chicken was tender and juicy, waffle fries were good, Tea was fresh, lemonade made with actual lemons full of pulp well balanced between tart and sweet, chocolate chip cookies were full of chunks, very good. Recommend over KFC and Popeyes-far and away much better. Understand the frustration of people inconvenienced by the traffic issues, but this is Redding, and any new fast food is a cultural event of greatest importance. Great experience on opening day!! The line of cars was huge but we did a mobile order and it was ready in minutes. Food was fresh and delicious! You would never know it was day 1 or that they were slammed. Our order was perfect and my 7-year old said "Wow, Mom, this chicken really IS REALLY good!" Im so thankful they arrived! I got to the store after using their app to order so I could pick up at the curb. Sadly I made a mistake and got into the drive through lane, but that turned out well for me, I got to meet the owner! What a great guy, he radioed into the store, I made my way down the line, next thing I know he delivered it to me, then u got to exit with his employees help. Regarding the food, Wow! When you give fries you give ketchup. No exceptions. There are a thousand kids working here. Make sure it happens. You are running an assembly line. The drive through cars are the belt. Chicken sandwich is great but it's poorly managed. When I was in the drive through I watched two girls take orders repeatedly while one of the managers along with 4 other girls talked the entire time. Not only were they talking extremely loud but they also were inappropriate. The lobby is still closed despite the fact that most Covid restrictions are being lifted. The girls at the drive through shouldn't be working in the heat either. On several occasions I watched the managers yell at the girls who are doing more than they can handle while the managers themselves didn't step in to help. read more

The manager inside has no clue what she is doing. My order was "never taken" but I had been charged on my card. By the time they figured it out (after showing them the charge on my phone) breakfast had stopped being served and I had no choice but to order off the lunch menu and a refund was not in the question. Finally decided to try the "new" Chick-fil-A in Redding. NOT IMPRESSED. We used indoor counter service. Plenty of staff available and the seating area and counters are clean. The problem is the prices charged are higher than many conventional restaurants; i.e., a small salad with limited ingredients at $10; four small chicken tenders at $6 (REALLY????). A small milkshake at $4 and a chicken sandwich (yes, a chicken sandwich at $6-$8) Those are prices more in keeping in Carmel or Pebble Beach-not here in Redding. I totally understand why the prices are not posted anywhere except at the counter. When you don't pay cash for something and use your phone or card to pay you don't see the actual damage. Mystified about the attraction this place has here, maybe it still has a novelty to it. read more
