Every single time we come here, there's an issue with an incorrect order. Today they weren't even busy at 4pm and still managed to make several errors. My "medium" Mac & Cheese was only filled half way; I paid for a medium and got a small sized portion in a medium container. The chicken in my market salad was not sliced like normal. I realize now that I have to check every single item in my order going forward and if they don't like it, too bad. They didn't even manage to correctly scan the mobile app so it didn't show up in my history so I had to go back for a receipt to enter for points as they don't give receipts when you pay cash unless you ask for one! (I'm sorry, what?!) And you need the actual receipt, not the sticker on the bag, to enter for points. To spend $30 for one salad, a drink, dessert and 2 sides, I expect order to be correct. We have had so many issues here so many times that if there were any other CFA with a drive thru near by, we'd go there. I called the store to complain & had to call 5 times before they answered...and then someone named Marissa hung up on me instead of finishing the call. Classy! So much for "it's our pleasure!" Honestly, the quality of the Los Angeles CFAs are nothing like the ones I had the pleasure of visiting in Orange County. This Chick-fil-A location didn't let us down as we made it our lunch stop after a visit to Vroman's down the street. This location is close to Pasadena City College. When we arrived, there was a large drive thru line, but they expertly have it split into two lanes for ordering and we were amazed at how quickly the line moved! On top of that, the food was hot and fresh and delicious! I recommend this stop for a delicious, quick meal! read more

One of my favorite fast food restaurants (In-N-Out being the other of course)! I usually go to this location or the one by USC. I've tried a good amount of their menu: sandwiches, nuggets, chicken strips, salads, chicken noodle soup, etc. and everything has been pretty good. My go-to order: spicy chicken sandwich (extra pickles which they'll add for free), fries and an Arnold Palmer (with unsweetened tea - they charge a little bit extra for this drink in the combo meal). As for my dipping sauces, my go-to sauces are Ranch, BBQ and Sriracha. Out of the countless times that I have been to this location, I've only had one issue - one of my fries was just completely raw and apparently missed the fryer. I let them know, they apologized and happily brought out a hot, fresh order of fries. Great customer service at this location! Closed on Sundays- for sure and check! But closed on Saturday January 15, 2022, at 10:15 am means there are issues with Covid. Stupidly sat in line with 15 other cars for 15 min. And was stuck as it was clear Chick fil a was closed for business, and no cars were moving- but first four cars weren't going to move, and finally the back of the line began backing up so I could reverse and get the heck out of there. I was calling the store to verify and no one answered. I get it- Covid is causing problems, so heads up before going there and getting stuck in line for 15 min- we went to McDonalds and got breakfast- They got me through in 5 min. What use to be one of the best places to grab a meal has become almost sub-par. I generally pick up dinner there every Friday night, using the app and picking up in the drive thru. For the past few months, we can almost count on them messing something on the order up. To top it off the food is generally lukewarm at best when I get it home. We support black owned businesses as much as we can, Especially this one for we really enjoy chick-fil-a. However, we have now been dissatisfied more than once with this store for not having what they promote. We went this evening to get my birthday shake along with others to purchase, and yet again we were told we don't have any ice cream. When I stated to the employee this has now happened to us more than not, and they replied the reason was the machine over heats and is unable to produce. The owner knows this is an issue and refuses to purchase another machine to help with the demand. You are making money hand over fist, and yet you can't add another machine to make sure your customers are getting what you promise to have by promoting. I love Chick-Fil-A. I am so happy that they are expanding in SoCal. I used to have to drive to the Del Amo Fashion Center (mall) in Torrance to get my Chick-Fil-A. I'm not sure how long that location has been in Torrance but I noticed in a scene in the movie Valley Girl (from 1983) that you can see Chick-Fil-A in the same spot in that food court. Anyway - back to Pasadena... I love Pasadena and I love Chick-Fil-A so this is awesome. I'm a photographer and they are located very close to Samy's Camera, so that's cool & convenient. I've found this location to be busy. I haven't had any problems though. The staff is friendly and polite but working, working, working! The customers also seem friendly and polite. It's a nice location, pretty big with a children's play area. They also have outdoor seating. So far my food (and everything else here) has been just right. read more

Since I got to Pasadena an hour earlier than planned, I stopped into this Chick Fil A to have lunch. The customer service was on point, which is my usual experience at all Chick Fil A's in Los Angeles. I ordered an egg, cheese, an chicken bagel along with a large original iced coffee. They were quick to process my order, and the food tasted great as always. I liked the decor in this place, and they had flowers at each table that used Coca Cola bottles as vases. You have no idea how long I have been waiting for a Chick Fil A to open in Pasadena. I even emailed their corporate office once to suggest a location for them in Alhambra. So, when I heard that they were opening next to PCC on December 11th, I was checking the days off my calendar. People don't get why I love Chick-Fil-A so much... I also have quite a few gay friends who give me an evil eye when I mention it, so I have had to really think about what it makes me stand behind the brand. Quite a few things really... First and foremost the chicken sandwiches are delicious. Hot and steamy in the foil pouch, it is a perfect large piece of perfectly seasoned breaded chicken (larger than the bun) with a hot buttered bun and pickles. Their other food options are of a very high quality.... including the grilled chicken, waffle fries, salads, tea and freshly squeezed lemonade. It's a higher standard of fast food, in my opinion. The next thing that I like about Chick-Fil-A is their value on service and community. You can see this in the restaurant itself, with fresh flowers on the tables, employees who bring the food to your table and answer everything with "my pleasure" . They even come around to check on you and see if you need anything, sauces, drink refills, napkins, etc., which they will bring to you. But it's also their external community spirit and desire to give back to the community they are in. I was among the first 100 for this store, which means I camped out and participated in their pre-opening activities. (I also received a gift card for 52 free meals as a part of that promotion, which I have already put a dent in.) A part of the opening activities was to collect donation books for children... so they had already started giving back to the community even before they officially opened! I know other Chick-Fil-As have various activities throughout the year for their guests too. They must be doing something right, because they are packed. The two drive thrus move quickly though. TIPS: 1) Ask for their "Behind the Scenes Tour"... they will actually walk you into the kitchen and give you a tour if you ask them. It makes me confident to know that they are proud of their processes and ingredients. 2) Buy their Cow Calendar! It comes with a calendar card which gives you access to a free food item each month. Coming back from that state, I never really craved it because there wasn't one too close to my location, so out of sight, out of mind. It somehow managed to make its way through to me again and luckily, it's right next to school. Came here after I finished a class at PCC and had time to eat before my next one. The line was pretty much until the entrance, but the line went rather quickly. I just got the regular Chick-fil-A sandwich with their Chick-fil-A sauce. Their chicken taste actually like chicken rather than other places and it wasn't dry. Together with the sauce was even better. Of course you can't go wrong with service here. Everyone knows service at Chick-fil-A's are pretty nice. The workers will personally come to your table and ask if everything is okay or if you need a refill on your drinks. I love this Chik-Fil-A. Everyone is always so incredibly nice, with huge smiles on their faces (well, not that I can see because we're all wearing masks but they SOUND like they have a smile on their face so... good enough for me!) and they're always ensuring that our order is correct and ready to go. This is why I felt confident ordering through a third-party app from them. The one in Monterey Park always gets my order wrong, so I don't even bother ordering from them there. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Deluxe with no pickles, and my boyfriend got the Spicy Chicken Deluxe with mayo and mustard, with fries and chicken nuggets. We were a little disappointed to see that the mustard and the mayo are both on the side instead of on the sandwich, but it wasn't that big of a deal. We had ordered 6 different sauces and they got them ALL right. I was surprised that they gave it to us because some places will skimp on the sauce... But not Chik-Fil-A! Two years ago a few things happened. Got divorced, changed companies for work, returned to the Pasadena area after 10 years living elsewhere... And started coming to this Chick Fil A. My first visit two years ago to this location sucked. Came into the drive thru. It wasn't too busy. I pulled up to the speaker sign where a girl was posted. I hadn't been to Chick Fil A since my teen daughter was a kid. So I wanted to look at the sign menu. The employee girl kept asking me what I wanted while I was trying to look at the speaker sign. The girl kept asking me, even while she was standing in front of the sign. I couldn't see the sign, this girl keeps asking me if I'm ready, then I start ordering, she keeps asking "is that all?"... It was maddening. So I finally broke. I got snippy, told her she needed to stop blocking the sign, please get out of the way, and that I would tell her when I was done. As I got closer to the pick up window, another employee asked how I was doing. I told him what happened. In a poor-baby kind of tone, he says "Awwww, I'm sorry about that." Then he just walked off. So then I was mad. I registered an online complaint. Chick Fil A sent what appeared to be a standard response "thank you for contacting us" email. Report# was 17547687. Well, good news is that I got over it. How? By downloading the Chick Fil A app. Now I order and pay for what I want in the app. Then get over to the drive thru and give them my name. Then they give me my food and I'm on my way. It's so damn convenient, that I started coming to Chick Fil A about once a week for a year prior to Covid 19. Since the pandemic started, I've been visiting like 3 times a week. Can you believe that? My usual is a Deluxe Chicken Sandwich combo. I get it with kale salad or mac and cheese, Arnold Palmer (with unsweetened tea), and I add a medium fries. I order the same for my friends and family too, so sometimes the order can get big. The drive thru is packed with cars most of the time... So I highly suggest the app. I think it's crucial. In my case, it's been helping me rack up rewards points too, and get free giveaways. I've now found the employees are helpful and have a genuinely positive attitude anytime I visit. This has been especially impressive while we've been in pandemic mode. I can also report that my orders have never been wrong. It's pretty amazing when you think about it. Perhaps it goes without saying, but the food is good too. It's actually quality. It's funny what can happen sometimes. Two years ago I wrote off this location based on one stupid bad experience. But in the long run, and through a pandemic, turns out I was wrong. WOW. Amazing experience. We just stopped in for breakfast on our road trip and I have to say this location has the kindest staff. They took our order with a smile and asked how our day was going. Our food was then brought out to us by the sweetest man (I believe his name tag said Sam Thomas, he was wearing a blue shirt so possibly a manger or team lead?), he brought us all the condiments we asked for and made sure we were all set. Before leaving I wanted to get a refill on our drinks and the same guy, Sam, saw me waking up with the cups and before I could even ask, he said what refill can I get for you today? He was so enthusiastic and genuinely seemed happy to be there. He then took the time to ask us how our service and meal was. You rarely see people take the time to ask these kind questions anymore at restaurants. He really did brighten our day. Thank you for being so kind and friendly! Other than the exceptional service, the store itself is probably one of the biggest chick filas we have seen. So many tables and super clean. It may sound a little corny but they really do make you feel at home here. There was no salad dressing included in the order. The dressing is a huge part of the taste. I drove to pick up the salad dressings. I asked for two additional dressings and was stunned when the manager charged me for them. What about the charges I incurred from Doordash for an incomplete order? I want to start out by saying that I love CFA. I've gone here maybe 10-15 times this year. With that said, I'm done with giving them my money. They are very inconsistent with their orders. It you show up to this place, expect them to mess up your order 33% of the time (wrong size drink or fries, missing item, etc.) I drove in here a few months ago and the person who took my order made a mistake with my order for a cookie and she told me to speak to the person ahead that is under the canopy that you usually give cash to or get a receipt from. When I drove up to him, I explained that they had an issue adding the cookie to my order. He made zero eye contact with me and said "Not a problem, I will make sure they know to add the cookie to your order." I drive up, no cookie. I asked them about the missing cookie and they said that I didn't order a cookie. I then proceeded to explain that the guy told me he would notify them, and then they proceeded to tell me that "He didn't tell us anything." Anyways, this review isn't all about a simple cookie. It's just an example of the 33% of the time that they mess up your order. After this experience, I decided to look the other way and give them the benefit of the doubt. Fast forward to this week. I made a curbside pickup order (Mobile Order 5679809). Guess who brought my order to me? That same guy that couldn't communicate about the cookie that was missing from my order a few months ago. After receiving my order, I quickly drove home to bring the food to my family only to find that we had a missing item. The item showed on the receipt but I didn't receive it. I proceeded to call the store and left a voicemail. Never received a call back. I've given this place the benefit of the doubt way too many times. Upon riving at this Chick-fil-A I was very shocked to see how crowded They were. The drive-through was jampacked the parking lot was jam packed, we had to park about a block away. I didn't understand if they were giving away free sandwiches or what? Because I've been to many Chick-fil-A's and they are never this crowded. Not being from this area I didn't understand that it is directly across the street from the city college, and it was apparently the wrong time to come to this Chick-fil-A as everyone else had the same idea. While waiting in line I was reading who the owner was and her story, and I was extremely impressed by the story and very happy for her. I have very close friends that live in Africa and I understand how dilapidated and a life a struggle it is in these third world countries in which the owner of this Chick-fil-A migrated from. There is a rule of thumb in owning a business most people understand it's based on location, location, location. She 100% understood that and it has truly profited hand over fist. Good for her as her service there was fantastic, her food was fantastic. The facility is very clean modern and inviting. Just be fair warned, maybe lunchtime at this Chick-fil-A is not a good option as all the college kids are there. Unless you are like me and you can wait. read more

This was the first Chick-Fil-A I've ever been in and I could immediately see the hype surrounding this chain. I came a few minutes before closing with some friends and the cashier was so polite. He didn't seem to mind at all that we were ordering so late, and the person who brought us our food didn't rush us either. Since I'd never been before, I didn't know what sauces they offered and asked if I could have one of each. I got a list of their sauces and 6 out of 8 of them. The Chick-Fil-A sauce is the best, by the way. Also, my first ever Chick-Fil-A sandwich was tender, crispy, and all around incredible. Another time the staff started to clean up for the night and asked us if we would mind if he took the vase of flowers from our table. Had to come to Pasadena for a meeting and knew that I would be near this particular franchise. This was the highlight of my day, to be honest. After my meeting I drove over it was still a tad before noon so there was no crowd. Walked inside, waited less than five minutes. I was able to place my order with Corey, who was super helpful, super friendly and had this great big beautiful smile. The chicken sandwich is so unbelievably delicious. Plain and simple, breaded chicken breast, two pickles, lettuce, tomato, cheese on a bun. What more do you need? I particularly do not care for the waffle fries so I never order them. Finally, CFA is creeping closer to my home. Nice easy shot up the 134 from Burbank and not far from the freeway exit. Quality and service is always top notch and no different here. The style and decor of the building and furnishings is a lot classier than your standard CFA location and doesn't really standout as there is smaller signage and not high in the sky. It's not hidden, but keep your eyes open because it doesn't stand out as your normal fast food location. I love my Chick-Fil-A and happy it's more accessible now. read more

In my small group of friends, I'm pretty much known as the Chick-Fil-A fanatic / lunatic. It's really just that good to me. And I'm a proud Chick-Fil-A RED member thru 2021... Yes, I know I need help. Even though this is the page for Pasadena's location, this review also applies to the Azusa / Monterey Park branches. I really am not even sure how to begin this review... Chick-Fil-A really fills my mind up that much. I'm eating it AT LEAST once a week. When you walk in, you're greeted with a smile - my mood is already lifted regardless of the day I'm having. Typically, my order will be 2 Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, with large Waffle fries and large Sweet Tea. The food is always hot, fresh, tasty and I can never get enough of it. Service is always incredibly fast and speedy - a few times I haven't even sat down at a table and the runner already comes with the food. This is one of the few places I'd have no problem eating every single day, and I'm glad there isn't one particularly close to me (closest one ~15 minutes away) otherwise I really would be eating CFA every day. Parking at the Pasadena branch is tough during rush hours because of its small lot and being across from Pasadena City College. (Azusa / Monterey Park parking are not an issue). read more

My favorite meal is the spicy sandwich with the honey mustard and honey barbecue sauce. This was my second time ordering the food but it is smart to have a bag that keeps the sandwich warm until it's delivered and opened. I hope other people enjoy eating at this place. read more

Restaurant is clean! Love the music! Customer service is awesome! Very friendly and helpful! They actually bring your food at your table and asks if you need any refills for your drink or any sauces you want. So not an ordinary fast food restaurant you've ever been to! Food was great!
