So have you ever traveled up the 5 freeway and wanted to get some fast food due to time constraints but was tired of burgers and such and wanted something sort of healthy? Well look no further than Chick-fil-A, right off the freeway in Oxnard. Now by dumb luck or the food god guiding me well, I came across this chick-fil-a only because I wanted to get some coffee at the coffee bean located off Rose Avenue. Now Ive been to Chick-Fil-A before in Irvine and by a School I hate In South Los Angeles on Figueroa. However, there are none by my house so coming to this one was finding a needle in a haystack and thus telling me I must go in which I did. This Chick-fil-a is rather huge with a good amount of parking and seating and such. I ordered one of my two favorites the Chargrilled chicken club sandwich (bacon!) with the awesome waffle fries and a soda. I also love getting the spicy chicken but today was the chargrilled one, which is a nicely grilled seasoned chicken breast with Provolone cheese (yum) and bacon (double yum). I love Chick-fil-a for the fact they dont put any dressing on their sandwich and you put your own or get one or more of the many awesome dipping sauces they have. I prefer the barbecue or buffalo. Anyhow I have to remember this chick-fil-a more on my drives up north and I totally wish they would open one closer to I live out in Alhambra. read more

This was my 2nd visit to this location and I had a pleasant experience from beginning to end. The restaurant was extremely busy due to a track meet at the nearby high school, but I went through the line quickly. Kudos to Kass who took my order; she was very polite. Kudos to Dillon who kept up with trying to have the place look clean and welcomed each guest. Kudos to Alex who was training a new employee, but still managed to help customers through the line with politeness. Chick Fil A's my guilty pleasure. I can't help myself, even after all the negative press they've gotten. This time I got their chicken strips kids meal (don't judge, kids meals are always cheap). It came with a drink, waffle fries and two chicken strips, oh and a cow watch. I enjoyed everything that I had. The chicken strips were lightly breaded, some of the best chicken strips I've gotten, they weren't overly greasy. The fries were a bit under cooked but I'm not that picky. My Sprite tasted more like regular carbonated water but I didn't feel like complaining since I'm not a big fan of soda and just got it because it came with the meal deal. Oh yeah and they do have a lot of sauces to dunk your chicken into, their calorie counts are also there. The ranch has 100 calories! Yeah, that's what I thought too. Just wrote almost the exact review for the TO Chick-fil-A! Not excited about reviewing chains but when one stands out, I need to pass it on. The food is standard, hot fresh and mostly chicken. The best part for me, the workers are so damn nice and accommodating. Nowadays it seems you couldn't get a teenager to get excited about anything that wasn't on a phone but Chick-fil-A has them into their job. Their recruitment process is impressive! I really like the chick-fil-a sauce, its like honey mustard bbq sauce. Mixing condiments is always a smart thing to do! I love chick fill a! The moment I first tried it I was so hooked. Their waffle are just the best . At least once a week I just go there to order a large waffle fries. My favorite part is the chick fill a sauce. I don't know what's in it. But it is amazing! One of my favorite sauces ever! As far as their chicken burgers. They are alright. The first time I had a chicken burger was in Virginia. This is the only chicken joint that I would go to. The service is good and the food is great. There's just a couple of new employees that are working there that forgot a couple of things. But that's new-bees for you. I've been to Chick Fil-A's before. This one has crazy awesome customer service. While you're sitting people coming up taking your trash, getting you more to drink. Place is very clean, floors look very clean, restrooms are clean. I saw a young man cleaning the doors for a long time. The workers are seemingly happy. The most excellent chick-fil-a I've ever been to. From walking in, the gentlemen taking my order had really good manners. They brought me my food and drinks to my seat. The manager was excellent. The whole time eating there he walked around attending to people. He asked if we needed refills, threw away our trash, brought us mints and asked if needed anything else. Excellent example of how a manger should me. We're not from the area but he seemed to have really good relationships with the customers. The restaurant was also really clean. Seemed less like a fast food restaurant and more like a quality sit down restaurant. read more

Best chicken sandwiches ever created. This restaurant is quite hard to get in and out of. It's on a huge expressway so there's a center divider preventing you from turning left. The parking lot is also quite small. This place also has a "text for discounts" thing. When I texted, I got a free sandwich. Beware, the texting number contains the numbers "411" so this showed up on my cell phone bill as a call to 411-Information, but it was clearly a text. read more

Drive Thru is surprisingly fast! Usually the drive thru at Chick-Fil-A's are pretty slow (probably because they're putting so much love into our sandwiches) I was in and out of this line in less than 3 minutes and the line was atleast 6 cars deep. I'm a fan of chick-fil-a. It's nice change of pace from the usual burger joints. Their focus is on chicken, and they do it really well. My favorite thing to get is a spicy chicken sandwich with pepper jack and bacon. Their strips and nuggets are decent too. You can tell that they're made from real cuts of chicken and not just press formed chicken too. Make sure to try their assortment of dipping sauces. There's one for a variety of tastes. Personally, I've come to like their "chik-fil-a sauce" but my gf prefers the barbecue sauce. to each their own. Their sweet tea is also REALLY good so be sure to give it a try. read more

First of all...I didn't come here right away when it first opened. My first time was in May 2009. I think the family and I were a little sad that the original owners of this spot was a Krispy Kreme and now there is no krispy kreme around this place again. BUT when I came here to eat the first time...the chicken was awesome! I just love how it tastes and it tastes a little bit more fresh?!? If that's even possible..I like the flavor and I love how it's not too salty like their next door neighbor's Wendy's (everything there is salty). Chick Fil-A stands out period when it comes to chicken and who doesn't love their waffle fries? The next big thing about them is their SAUCE/s! Of course this is what stands out! I used to be a ranch, only ranch person. But once i tasted their Chick Fil-A sauce this is all I get. I tasted all the other sauce but I just liked the ranch and chick fil-a. I'm glad they have dip in ketchup for their nuggets, makes it way easier! I think other franchises or food places have those dip in ketchup as well now too. As far as drinks their lemonade is good and take their surveys when you get one on a receipt free chicken sandwich why not right? Do it! One other thing is this is the only chicken that my two year old likes to eat and he is very picky! So I am so glad this is here in town. I'm sad to see Krispy Kreme go but I'm glad this is here now! I've come here a few times and they've probably got the friendliest staff around for a drive thru joint, not to mention one of the tastiest chicken sandwiches. I usually go for the original and add lettuce and tomato and there's certainly no skimping on the chicken breast patty. It's thicker than any of the other fast food joints (McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Carl's). Their cole slaw is pretty finely chopped and similar in flavor to what you might find at KFC, though like I said, it's got a much finer consistency. Their waffle fries are another reason I come here. I can easily go through a large size with no problem. They've got a nice crisp to them and if you like a sweet sauce, their Polynesian sauce pairs up quite nicely with them! read more
