I have always loved their sandwiches and recently started getting the salad. Always picked up my food to go. Every month I go out with my aunt and friends. Someone said Chick-fil-A. I said there won't be room and I wanted full service and a good salad. They just wanted me to try. I got the Cobb Salad and others got Chicken Salad and everyone's fav Chicken sandwich. THE FOOD WAS GREAT. But that is only part of it. The interior was very roomy they brought our food to the table and we're very nice. We are a bunch of old ladies and they loved us. I've been visiting this Chick-fil-A for some time now and on several occasions I just feel like the employees aren't that friendly. There's really no chat, or chat with me anyway, and this morning it made sense. The owner, who I have witnessed in the store on several occasions walked right by after making eye contact and not even a hi, hello, or anything. People learn behavior from their leaders and that told me all I needed to know. Once my rewards are spent, I'm good taking my business elsewhere, especially if being fake is what you get when you go. The main reason for 5 stars is for the ambience. They have fresh flowers on each and every table, can you believe that? They are cleaning the tables real quick and that to with wipes. They have lot of parking area, play area for kids inside and drive thru with two lanes. We did mobile order from the app, and they processed our order real fast compared to other locations. The Chick-fil-A spicy deluxe sandwich with pepper jack cheese is probably the best or at least within the top two or three sandwiches on the fast food market right now. This thesis shall support that assumption. You see, Chick-fil-A already has the chicken sandwich nailed. Their basic chicken sandwich is made with the perfect chicken that is both moist and tasty. With the spicy deluxe sandwich they merely build upon that solid foundation. For those who like to feel healthy they throw a salad on top (really it's just lettuce and tomato, but it does add a nice crunch and a bit of veggie flavor.) They do have cheese as well, and Chick-fil-A has a variety of cheeses for the customer to choose from. The default cheese which would be at American cheese or equivalent, is tasty but I think pepper jack as a special kind of touch to the sandwich. Because the sandwiches "" spicy already pepper jack really just sort of makes it interesting. The original spiciness of the sandwich is basic is intended for common consumers and really is just a hint of spice. Pepper jack cheese is like candles on a birthday cake; the cake is good anyways but the candles really help to accentuate the point. To sum it up, if you have not tried one of these sandwiches with pepper jack you are doing yourself a disservice. Oh yeah, and the legendary Chick-fil-A staff is performing their gig every single waking second. read more

This Chick-fil-A, in comparison to about any other I've been to, is terrible. The manager is fantastic, and usually if you go while he is there, everything is great. It's when you go in the afternoons that things aren't so great. Orders are wrong, workers are rude (especially one in particular), and fries are served cold and half filled (if even half...). When I say orders are wrong, let me demonstrate some of our more memorable instances: 1. I got a sandwich without the whole bun.... I laugh at this one. The only place I've ever been to that's done this. 2. My friend got a sandwich without the chicken. We laugh at this one too. Again, the only place I've ever been to that has done this. 3. We got an order of fries one time that BARELY had any in it (size large). The next time we ordered I said something and they laughed. 4. We've had a worker that cannot understand what we are saying. All of us speak clear and proper English (not even much of a southern accent despite growing up here). There was a worker in particular, which I will not name, who would look at us with visible confusion every time we spoke. You could say "I want a small coke" and she would literally ring up macaroni and cheese. I watched her do the same with many others after us. 5. We've seen workers fighting and arguing as we went through the drive-thru. One was in the window and one was outside. They were arguing back and forth about the best way to do something. When we went by they were nearing the end of the argument it seemed. These are just a few. Sadly, I think this is how a lot of Surry Co. is getting. If you're passing through, I'd give Mount Airy a hard pass. read more

Great restaurant with real flowers on every table! The furniture is much better than most fast food restaurants! The large windows give a openness and comfort as you relax during your meal! There is plenty of parking if you are dining in and the drive-thru is often assured outside to speed you through the two lane drive-thru! Really speedy service! However. I recommend dining in for the relaxed view and comfortable furnishings! Service is fast and friendly; southern style! Food is tasty and prepared just right! Try the deluxe meal and while you are at it include the waffle styled fries! Restrooms are very clean and extras included! There are Chick- Fil-A's and, then again, there are Chick-Fil-A's... This is Mt. Airy's first and only AND one of North Carolina's finest! My family of 5 from Charlotte had a late dinner there following the Autumn Leaves Festival. The place was jam-packed and yet the employees were still pleasant and went out of their way to satisfy (and yes, it really did seem to be their pleasure to do so.) Our cashier Bethany not only took our complicated order, she happily delivered it, then happily stopped by to refill teas, happily collected our trash, and ultimately even brought over after dinner mints (happily). Did I mention the joint was packed. Kudos to this location's manager/operator Chad Tidd. It is obvious that this is a well-managed location easily warranting five stars. Oh and by the way, as always with Chick-fil-A, the food was fresh, hot and delicious. read more

Courteous staff, efficiency and accuracy in filling our orders, cleanliness of the store and well kept grounds surrounding the store are a plus. Just wanted to tell y'all we appreciate you. I also have a special request; if anyone who reads this is a franchisee, please consider putting one in Galax Virginia and Siler City NC. Mount Airy is 40 minutes from Galax residents. Galax is a growing market that should definitely have one. Siler City's closest is Asheboro and it's a good 30 minutes from Siler City. The newly constructed Mountaire processing plant is expected to be at a little over 1000 employees once it is fully staffed. This also is an untapped market. This is a very busy, but very nice Chick-fil-a location. The store is always clean and well maintained. Unlike some CF locations, the dining room tables here aren't as crammed together and you feel like you have a little more room. They also offer outdoor seating. They are very community oriented and they do a lot to help local schools and organizations. It seems like there are kids events here very frequently. The food is always reliably tasty, hot, and fresh. Service is prompt. Drive thru is usually fast as well. The employees are friendly. If you like CF, this is a good stop. read more

Really getting tired of what has been going on at this location... it used to be GREAT, but now it has gone downhill greatly. My wife and I love Chick-fil-A and we eat here at least once per week. The staff use to be very attentive and got orders right. Now it's just sad... Our order is almost always wrong. We mobile order so I always have proof of what I ordered. Got tired of the cashier claiming I didn't say what I did, then having to pay for what we were supposed to have gotten. Now I can show them the mobile order, so that is good. Unfortunately here lately the food is presented as shown in the photo. My wife and I paid to upgrade our fries to a large, and we got no more than we would have if we left it normal. As seen in the photo, they don't even come up to the bottom lip of the opening. This has always been the case for the drive thru (which is why I never use the drive thru), but now you get shorted inside too. Disappointing. read more
