I needed a drive through today for a quick lunch. I no longer frequent fast food restaurants but I had just come from urgent care with an injured my foot and walking was painful. I hoped that the food here would be less toxic than the other fast food options in the area. The store was busy but there were several employees manning the drive through lanes taking orders so it moved quickly. The chicken sandwich tasted good and the waffle fries were screaming hot...just the way I like them. The overall experience was good. However the last 4 visits to the Elkin NC store has startled me! To say that having 4 consecutive bad experiences for this chain stands out because of their stringent standards. I however have experienced this. Which leads me to question if there isn't some abnormality with this particular location. Food orders wrong. Just off Cc Camp Road in Elkin, North Carolina, you'll find one of the finest Chick-fil-A quick food restaurants I've ever seen. I don't go to Chick-fil-A very often, matter of fact rarely, and then only out of desperation, as I know the Chick-fil-A chain ownership hates me for what I am, gay. And of course, for going there, I could get my Gay Card suspended. So, Shhhhh! Don't tell on me. This Chick-fil-A is open, rather airy, bright, and totally spotless clean. The seating is spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly, polite and well-mannered in every way. I had their Freshly Brewed Ice Tea, which I really think was freshly brewed, and their Spicy Chicken Sandwich with a double of their more than delicious special Chick-fil-A sauce. I have to hand it to them. The taste, the flavors, and the texture of that little sandwich were over the top great. Matter of fact I have to say the best there is. Better than Burger King or McDonald's in every way. No, because of their support of hate and for other political reasons, I won't be going back. Great food and friendly service, but I have a suggestion. Please put chair pads on the bottom of your chairs. The employees kept scooting the tables and chairs to sweep and to straighten them and it was a very grating sound while trying to eat a meal in peace. I came to my local Chick-fil-A for a nice and fresh slice of their famous pizza. I usually get the hamburger and vegetable pizza, I took my slice out of the box and I was about to take a scrumptious bite and looked very closely and noticed that a piece of the pizza was not in fact hamburger it was MOLD. For a company that prides itself on extremely good customer service, I recently found out that they will not honor complementary cards for meals they gave out in 2020. I was not going out to restaurants in 2020, and did not use several that I had. I went to use them after I was vaccinated and felt comfortable going to restaurants again, and they would not accept them because they had expired. Under normal circumstances I can understand this. But during a pandemic year, the expiration date should have been waived. Very disappointed in this. As a mother of 2 beautiful babies we all know how difficult times can get during this long road we call life but my babies make it a lot better. Obviously Chick-fil-A is a number one life saver and this Elkin location is no different. I went in in a rainy Wednesday (ugh) and was greeted by so much warmth through the faces of the staff. Team leader Winston made sure we felt special from the tip of my toes to the tip top of my natural hair. I will say, there was some congestion in the line, part of that being due to a rowdy family placed in front of me (guess some people don't teach their kids basic manners of behaving in public) but the staff took care of it which I can only thank the Lord for these continuous blessings. I will be back to share another wonderful experience. The atmosphere was suitable for my whole daughters soccer team, so next team party will definitely be here! Oh and food was good. read more
