Apparently, there are other items available because I witnessed people ordering them, but I didn't see any paper menus, so I felt like I had to order from the specials. The Friday special was beef tips. Not something I'd normally go for, I'm not sure if I've ever even tried them before. Our waitress asked how I wanted them cooked so I said medium rare. They came with a choice of mushroom gravy or peppers and onions. We both chose mushroom gravy. Our food was taking a while to come out. Long enough to wonder if we were forgotten, as we watched other patrons come and go and pickup orders going out the door. She eventually came back and informed us that they were out of mushroom gravy, but we could do peppers and onions instead. We said that was fine. A few more minutes went by and they finally brought our food out. No peppers or onions. The beef tips definitely were not med-or med rare, but they were still good and most of the pieces were tender, although they were all different sizes so some were overcooked. Still a great flavor to them and the sides were yummy. Our waitress came back to say they were working on the peppers and onions. By the time she came back the second time, we'd finished eating our food. She apologized that no one brought them out to us. Oh well. The food was good enough that I'd come back, but be aware you might be waiting for a while.

For entrees, my wife had the Filet and I had a New York Strip. I don't have the words to describe how delicious and perfectly prepared both of these were. I didn't even bother asking for steak sauce because the perfectly tender and seasoned steak didn't need it. Nobody wants to pay high prices for a steak and receive something low quality, and I was thrilled with the quality of the steaks here. Surrounding tables likewise had great looking meals and I overheard them voicing pleasure too. As sides go, the baked potatoes and salads were excellent too. I got the hot bacon vinegarette dressing and was surprised it was actually served quite hot. It had a really rich and slightly tangy flavor that was unique and I really enjoyed on my salad. I have no complaints here and will absolutely be back. Of course it's on the pricey end, but this is the type of establishment you reserve for a special night out, not your average Tuesday night. I was sitting at the little restaurant Saturday night watching how all the girls/men were working. As I sit there I seen a young lady come out with a boot on going to bathroom. I stopped her to ask her what she had done she stated what had happened I told her she was a good woman to come in here and work with a bad foot. She said she loved helping Debbie out! That's a good person to work on bad foot. As I come back Tuesday to eat I spoke to one of the waitress that I like a lot she told me Saturday was her last day I questioned why she was quitting she said poor management. So if you got good employees working I think it's best to learn to run the restaurant and keep what good people you got to work and I was told that the lil lady with bad foot was told she wasn't needed after her surgery and she's healed! I got issues with that you got a dedicated employee to come work with bad foot then why would you not want her back? Well Debbie you should rethink how you do her! read more
