This was my first time dining here. The young lady taking my order was pleasant. The chicken was okay. The fried pickles were very good. The soda machine was almost completely out of syrup. I'm a fan of Zaxby's. Always get the Buffalo Blue Zalad, with a side of Insane sauce. Wow!!! It's kickin'! This location is still practicing COVID protocol - every other table. But at least they were open with seating. Service was prompt and curtious. Restrooms were a little untidy. read more

2022 Sep 01, 18:36; Elkin NC UPDATE When this restaurant opened in Elkin NC it was a breath of fresh air. A aurora of hopeful energy sounded the arrival of a good name brand chain store. The first few months certainly were great signs for the town. Close to a walmart location, there was certainly the traffic needed to support this type of store. And as in any new business it can be expected that business will slow down as the new wears off. However, in the second year problems surfaced and since. Products being unavailable such as coleslaw, bread, lettuce or tomatoes. I particularly liked the variety of products and flavors and have continued to stop by to see if progress is being made to return to the energy that the store started with. Todays visit brought news that they could could not serve grilled chicken since their "machine" is not working. I am sorry to say this is not the first incident of a "machine being broken". It is my hope that this store will get back on track because zaxbys does have some very flavorful products. read more

The food was pretty good, but the service was far below standard. The past two times I have gone they have charged me for Zax Sauce and both times I have received NONE. This chain surprises me to no end. over 9 times out of 10, the food is piping hot, including the fries. Chick-Fil-A, which is good as well, is more like 2-3 times out of 10. And the wings (when plain, sauce on the side) are better than many mom and pop places even in Buffalo. If I nitpicked it would be: At night it is hard to tell when it is open or not. The outside lights aren't always on. NOT a late night place either. And Zaxby's (the chain, not just this restaurant) ended the "Blue Zalad". Was my wife's absolute favorite. read more

Salads are good but our DoorDash driver was told by the manger that we couldn't have any extra dressings, we literally just wanted two for each salad and would have happily paid for them if given the option. Large salad with one dressing each after spending so much money there is kind of frustrating. read more

Chicken strips ordered and they were terrible!! Quality sucks. Manager did refund my order!! But they don't care. It's poor poor quality restaurant. I'll never forget about how much you have to pay as well. The tea was kinda like drinking pool chemicals. I've noticed it's that way in lots of city water systems. Stopped in for a quick bite but very disappointed with this zaxby quality standard. Making a sandwich should be very simple stack all ingredients in an neat pile package then serve. But this is what I got a dry bun with a toss of iceberg and what seems to be a chuck of a green tomato for $5. Stanley was great..nice guy who took our order and helped to explain the menu to us northerners. Loved the chicken salad. The vegetables were very fresh and the chicken was crispy and tasty. Wanted to try the milk shake which had been recommended but we were full. Good value for sure read more

Food's not bad but the ketchup dispenser is always empty and they only have 1 Coke Freestyle. Kudos for the Freestyle machine...however, old people and dumb people can't work it so the line can be terrible while they try to figure out this witchcraft. Worst of all are the flies. This place must've been built upon an ancient Native American crap factory. I love Zaxby's but I won't be coming back here anytime soon. It was about 65° in there, and it took 28 minutes for our order to come.

I went though the drive though at about 12:05pm. I order chicken tender plate.Then I pulled over across the parking lot to eat,to my surprise the French fries were cold the chicken tenders were barely warm the bread was cold and I wonder why I don't go there to eat very much. Worst service ever! I have never had worse service!!! They took forever in the drive thru and when I finally got to the window the girl tried to give me someone else's food. When I reminded he what I ordered she acted like it blew her mind! She web fee around talking to people and have me my total and walk back to the register and then handed me my card back. Done she can't back to the window and asked for my card again and when I contested she went and got someone else. And then he asked for my card.
