But even with expectations set low, Cookout has consistently impressed me. The first time I ordered hot dogs, I'll admit I was a little thrown off. I'm from Michigan, so when we say hot dogs, we're usually talking Coney-style--mustard, chili, onions. At Cookout, I got these bright pink hot dogs with slaw. Totally different vibe. But I've gotta say... they were delicious. I've ordered them more than once now, from different Cookout locations, and they've been solid every time. Bottom line: If you're expecting a gourmet meal, you're in the wrong place. But if you want good food fast, and you're open to something a little different, Cookout delivers. This was my first time eating here, but my wife had been here before when they came out on Roller Skates. ( Shows our Age )...... The place was clean and that makes a good impression on visitors coming in from others Towns, Cities and States. I like that clean home idea with all of the Mayberry Memory items on display.
