Ordered ahead and still had to pull forward. I don't have lots of money because I'm a student, so I only buy hot food from specific places. Now I won't be back to this location because the biscuit was charred. Ate it anyways because I needed to eat before my class. Every shift is different in fast food, but I thought Chick-fil-A had certain standards of what the food should look like before handing it out. :(

Market salad with bad lettuce

We are regular customers to this establishment and I thought we finally got them to get the orders right. Tonight was a bad night for them. Not one person saw that the lettuce they made our salads with was brown and should never have been considered sellable. It is a sad day when you can't depend on something as simple as fresh lettuce in your salad. Time to consider something else.

I really wish Chick-fil-A wasn't homophobic, but the food and service are so good. I mobile ordered for in-store pick up and received my food within a few minutes. They correctly gave me all of the sauces I requested, too! The service was also amazing, as the staff were very polite and eager to help. It appears as though their drive-through is always clogged, so I can't speak to the speed of that, but in terms of in-store ordering, it's pretty efficient. Definitely opt for this option if you don't want to wait in your car. I got the 8 count chicken nuggets with a Diet Coke, and yup--it hits the spot! They let you get a maximum of 3 sauces with your order. My sister got a free cookie for her birthday! Remember to download the app! The ambiance is very, very casual and kid-friendly. There's seating inside and outside, and it seems pretty clean/well-kept.

Great food, the people are always nice and they are really nice to even my dogs. They give my dogs doggie treats in baggies.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!…read more Over the past few years, several new chicken restaurants have opened around Carlsbad, and I'm very grateful to Yelp for turning me on to this place. BHC Chicken is completely different from many of the others I've tried. Yes, they offer a variety of sauces and flavors, but what really impressed me was their classic fried chicken. I ordered the boneless thigh meal, and it was absolutely delectable. The batter was incredibly light, crispy, and crunchy without being overly hard or heavy, while the chicken inside remained tender and juicy. Best of all, it was thankfully NOT overly salty. The flavor was beautifully balanced and, quite simply, exquisite. I would recommend their fried chicken to any and every chicken aficionado. I also tried the spicy rosé stir-fried rice cakes, which were delicious. They had just the right amount of heat, enough to make them interesting and flavorful without leaving that lingering burn afterward. And then there were the sides! The potato wedges were perfection: nicely cooked outside and wonderfully moist and tender inside. The French fries were also really good. The Bburing cheese balls were DIVINE, delicately flavored, slightly addictive, and just ridiculously yummy. The apple coleslaw was fresh, crisp, and refreshing, and the Bburing chips were another winner. Even the complimentary pickled radish was excellent and paired beautifully with the fried chicken. There are certainly other nearby restaurants selling fried chicken, but for me, BHC Chicken is the clear winner. I am SO glad I discovered this place. Fantastic chicken, excellent sides, interesting Korean specialties, and flavors that don't have to rely on excessive salt to taste good. My new Carlsbad chicken champion!

I ordered 4 -piece tender box, Hot Fried Spicy with a side of ranch . I found the chicken well seasoned and moist. The crunchy exterior was not overly done and it had a bit of gentle spice that kicks you on the back end. The pieces were generous and the box kept everything warm when I took the order to go. The ranch side was kind of basic. The server was friendly and explained the menu well.

Goodness gracious. I can't remember the last time I didn't mind WAITING for food to be prepared…read morebecause I was just in awe watching the owner interact with his customers. Endeavor (yes, that's his name) reminded me of a New Orleans restauranter (his greeting felt like a hug/high five when someone walked in - whether he knew him/her or not). I had a team meeting nearby and one of the girls suggested this place for their Bentos. She said they had Taiwanese style pork chop and fried chicken rice. I assumed the Surf Up Chicken moniker was another Korean fried chicken establishment so I wasn't sure if the bentos were a pop up item for lunch. I didn't have time to look at the menu before arriving so was hoping there was no line. I thought they were located in a mall or food hall but no, they're almost in an industrial area. There's a gelato and acai place next to them. There's one row of parking right in front. You order at the cashier and they give you a buzzer when food is ready. Endeavor said they also make their Beef Noodle soup from scratch. So duh and yes please - add it to the 3 bentos (2 fried pork bentos and 1 fried chicken bento). There's also a self serve soda station (with water and soda water). Plus, a sauce bar ! I think I waited for about 15 min? Their food packaging is LEGIT. The beef noodle soup had the coolest separation (noodles on top while the soup/beef is below without noodles touching the broth). The bentos were also wonderful packaged (I think i'd have them label next time). The beef noodle soup was YUMMY. Can i get an amen from all those BNS lovers who appreciate tender cuts of beef with some fattier pieces too. The broth was soooo savory and lightly rich (i know, is that even possible but the broth wasn't too heavy or greasy). The pickled veggies were BOMB - we tasted garlic which was loved by all. The pork bento was expertly fried and stayed crispy enough even 30min later. It was seasoned perfectly (five spice yeah?). The minced pork was underneath it and delicious (it had the consistency of ground pork). Again, the pickled sour veggies in the bento just worked so well with the dish. The fried chicken was generous and very good! Usually I find Taiwanese fried chicken to be dry but the version here was tender and soooo flavorful. I didn't realize they had a UTC location before it closed :( I would have 100% gone there but will now have to find a reason to make the longer trek here to get their bentos and beef noodle soup. Keep up the amazing work Endeavor ! Your food & service made some hungry customers (us!) happy today. Thank you !

So pleasantly surprised to see Taiwanese food in North County!…read more Surf Up Chicken specializes in Taiwanese-style crispy popcorn chicken. I popped in for lunch and got their Crispy Chicken Bento which featured popcorn chicken, braised minced pork, sautéed cabbage, a soy-braised egg, pickled cucumbers, and mustard greens, all on a bed of steamed rice. It was so comforting and filling! Their portion sizes are really generous and everything is reasonably priced. Seriously, no notes. Will definitely be back to try more off their menu!

Come to find out, this windmill actually has a food hall inside of it and I was pretty stoked to check it out. When I got over to Cosmos Burger and saw someone walking away with a chicken sandwich, I knew I needed to order one and give it a try myself. I ended up ordering a chicken sandwich which is basically some sauced chicken strips between some buns, and this sandwich was really good. I ended up getting the Garlic Parm chicken sandwich and the sauce was really good. I also ended up ordering french fries on the side which were fine, but this place charges $7 for fries and only offers one size.....so that sucks. It was too many fries for a side and since they don't bother to offer a small, I was stuck with it. Overall, I left Cosmos Burgers with some mixed feelings. The Garlic Parm Chicken Sandwich was really good, but at $15 doesn't really seem worth it when it's served by itself, and when you add in another $7 for French fries you are spending almost $25 to get a sandwich, fries and no drink. Won't be returning.

I decided to try out some wings. I ended up trying 5 of the 6 flavors: Hot Spicy, Spicy & Sweet, Soy Garlic, Cajun Lemon and Original. I think the Original and Soy garlic were the best ones. I had to drive home so it was about 30 minutes away. They left the boxes open to try and keep the wings as crispy as possible. I think if you get these in house, they would be super delicious. I will admit these wings were pretty meaty, a very good size. I am used to seeing smaller or average size at a lot of wing spots. The lady working (Elizabeth) was super helpful and friendly. I chatted with her while my order was ready to go. Decor seems nice, there is a bar and some tables as well. If you are in the area, I would definitely stop in for $1 wings during happy hour. I would pass on the drinks because the boba was overcooked and it didn't have any flavor or sweetness to it. I definitely want to come back and try their happy hour and order some of the appetizers like the corn cheese and Korean pancake.
