I am in a deep, committed relationship with the Chick. Especially this one... Newly built in the middle of a strip center on Hillcrest directly across the street from SMU. You know, the bubble within the bubble. I am an Alumni... go 'Stangs! ??? This fil-a serves the normal menu -- and if you are Southern and you like chicken -- I'm willing to put money down that you already like chick-fil-a. WELL, this location ALSO serves milkshakes, sundaes with all the fixings, ice cream and other desserts. The place is ALSO HUGE!!! And very clean. And smelled great. Had great decor - for a fast food joint that is. Had these incredible lid dispensers for your cups - yeah, I'm excited about lid dispensers b/c I've never seen these before anywhere. Anyone who has been to Chick-fil-A knows about their service. The location on Chicago isn't any different. Always a very friendly staff and accommodating. Always pretty clean and on warm days eating outside is an extra bonus. It's Chick-fil-A so the food is basically the same everywhere you visit. So if you are a Chick-fil-A fan, its a 5 star location for you. I, personally, have a hard time giving fast food franchises 5 stars because for the most part, its the same everywhere. read more

While the service wasn't rude, it felt like I was inconveniencing the employee just by ordering, which added to the frustration. Now for the good -- because there was good. I stopped in after spending time at a recovery business two doors down, and the food absolutely delivered. The chicken pot pie soup was made very well and tasted amazing. The Reuben sandwich with chips was also done right. Quality-wise, the kitchen clearly still knows what it's doing. This place earned my return because my first visit had excellent service and great food. I'm not giving up on it yet -- everyone has an off night. Stay tuned for round three.
