First time this Charlottesville CFA location located a mile plus off the highway and nearby the hospital. There is a light to enter and exit which is a huge plus. They offer a drive up, but only a single lane. The parking lot is also somewhat compact and may be challenging when peak busy like it was during my visit. I did a dine in. The staff was friendly and the ordering system smooth. I tried new BBQ grilled sandwich and a side fruit cup and water. The dining room and men's restroom were clean. Pretty much every table had customers and staff was on top of it. My order was delivered in just under 10 minutes. The sandwich was decent, but likely would not get again. The fruit with assorted strawberries, blueberries and apples fresh. This is a very well managed Chick Fil A. The drawback is when it's slammed. read more

I've gone through the drive thru at this Chick-fil-A a few times and it's always been a quick and pleasant experience. They have plenty of employees staffing the drive thru lines so it moves quick. My order has pretty much always been correct here and seems fresh. They have a decent parking lot and it looks like a good amount of seating inside. read more

They now have 2 options, speak to catering or wait for someone to answer the phone. The latter choice was unanswered on multiple tries I thought they might have been interested that the President and Governor Youngkin both ordered that flags be flown at half-staff starting on Monday, 4/21/25. I even tried calling the 800 number but when I did not wish to leave my phone number the operator cut me off abruptly after I'd voiced my concern. This review is for 2017. Came on their annual dress like a cow day to get a free entree. Also happened to fall on 7-11 (hence the slurpees in the pics). This is a nice Chick-fil-a location. A standalone shop with a drive-thru. Service as expected from a Chick-fil-A. Food came quickly and hot. Plenty of seating inside and pretty clean. There are also some seat right outside the restaurant. For how busy it was that day, I was impressed with how quickly the food came and the quality. I go to this location weekly. I have always had good experiences here with the employees as they have almost always been kind and professional, food is always great and the building is always clean. I drive a family-sized SUV, so I'm always a bit more cautious in the drive thru. A few days ago, I was entering the drive thru around lunch time. It was busy, but there were only 2 cars behind me so it seemed like a break in the lunch rush. I got in the right lane, the lane along the fence to see the road. The back of my car was in the way of the merging area, so the car behind me couldn't move into the left lane. I was 2 feet away from the vehicle in front of me. There was barely any room for me to move up. The worker from the left lane decided to walk over to the front of my car and start waving her hand for over 30 seconds, telling me to get closer to the car in front of me. I moved up 5 inches. I was uncomfortable with this considering I drive a luxury car and I am always cautious with how close I get to other cars. I was annoyed at this point. I rolled down my window and told her "I'm good here!" In a happy tone, hoping she would back off and understand I am not moving closer. She didn't. Instead she kept moving her hand, trying to get me to pull up closer to the car in front of me. By now it had been too long of this. I repeated myself and I said "I'm good here!" one more time, and finally she walked back to her lane to take orders. I am confused as to why it was a big deal to her that she needed to walk over to my car, instead of being patient and waiting a minute for the cars in front of me to move up so I could. If the manager is reading this understand that from a customers POV, this was rude and unprofessional. Train your employees to not be ill mannered to loyal paying customers. There should never need to be a quick mobility in the drive thru line like this employee tried to create. read more

From the time you walk into the store you feel welcomed! The friendly faces at the front ready to take your order. The speed of getting your food is amazing. The staff checking in on you at the table, seeing if you need anything is amazing. The taste of the food, the temperature are all on point. This location offers a play land for the kids. [As of July 6] On our way through Virginia, the wife was craving some of that Chick-fil-A. I had no choice but to submit...plus how could I say no to Chick-fil-A suace!? RESTAURANT: As expected, this famous eatery was super busy, well after the lunch rush. It's always a crazy time trying to navigate the parking lot in order to grab a spot. I can say the men's restroom was smaller than expected. The single stall and urinal will definitely be overwhelmed by the enormous amount of foot traffic that comes through the eatery. (Sorry ladies, I cannot speak on your restroom.) STAFF: Pleasant as always. Our cashier took our order with ease even though it was unusually loud in the lobby. Every member of the Chick-fil-A team was about their work. The food runner was quick about delivering the orders to awaiting customers. Even the custodial expert continued cleaning tables and clearing random messes like clockwork. FOOD: How can I complain about the food. It has been sent down by the heavens! We ordered the cool ranch wrap and the grilled chicken sandwich while sharing a large fry. Our meal made our stomachs very satisfied! I don't fast food often, but when I do, it's Chick-fil-A. This location is particularly friendly, as well, so it makes my visits feel less guilty! I mean, the chicken sandwiches at Chick-fil-a can't really be beat for what they are; the chicken is so juicy with such a nice crispy skin, mmmm. I will also make a note that their chicken breakfast burrito is pretty legit. I'm not usually a breakfast burrito kinda gal, but this one is loaded with hefty chunks of their chicken as well as lots of eggs, plus a few hashbrowns. Throw some hot sauce on that bad boy and you have a portable, protein-packed breakfast of champions. But that's all I'll say about the food. We know what Chick-fil-A is and that they're doing it well. This review is mainly intended to highlight the cleanliness of this location and its excellent staff. Even with a line backed up several people I've never waited more than 5 minutes to order my food--efficiency. Chick-fil-A staff are generally trained to be extra polite, but I've found this location to be staffed by folks that seem more competent and genuine than typically--must have a good hiring team plus good management and employee morale. The store always looks immaculate, and I'm pretty sure its a newer location, so that can be half of it, but they do a good job of keeping it clean and even keeping all the sauces/napkin area organized and in place (not always the case)--CONSTANT VIGILANCE. I came into this CFA and it was busy inside, and the drive thru was poppin off too. So I placed my order online to go, and expected to wait a bit. But I didn't. My food was prepared in 5 minutes, and everything about my order was correct. Props to management and all the employees here. They just HANDLE BUSINESS like true professionals. Even amidst the rush dinner hour, they still had a staff member cleaning all the floors and tables in the dining area. The staff here are top notch and the play area is always clean. Love that you can trade in the kids' meal toy for an ice cream cone, too! I have been coming to this location for years and specifically veterans day because everytime i came to this facility they made me feel like family and have ALWAYS given me a military discount if I showed them my ID card however, this time was different I went through the drive through as usual and went to the window to pay like I normally do. The manager said they didn't do military the person that is always with me when we come here was as puzzled as I was. After I told the manager several times I've always come here and gotten a discount he flat out said they didn't do it. I do not expect handouts or anything free but when you have always done but then say you don't thats bad business and I have never been so disappointed even worse the food did not taste fresh like it normally does the nuggets were luke warm like they had been sitting a while needless to say this will be the last time we come to this one we will be going to the one in Richmond. Bizarre ordering system and disappointing customer service. Received the wrong order last time I was there and went through the drive-thru line. Called the next fat and the manager took my info and said I could come by and they'd cover my next meals free of charge. Tried to redeem that today and they wouldn't honor their promise. The current manager on duty said they couldn't find it in the system and since I didn't keep the receipt (from three weeks ago... ) they couldn't help me. $20 down the drain. I am going out of my way to give this location a 5 star review as I have only written a handful of yelp reviews- ever. I have frequented this location in person for years during better times and I have been ordering online here pretty consistently during the pandemic and I have never had an issue. Today, for the first time ever- I had a couple of issues with my order and I wanted to take a moment to digitally commend the management for how they respectfully and efficiently handled resolving the issues for me. I work in food service management myself- and folks it's tough for us all right now. The staffing and supply issues aside- the turnover rates and the increase in demand are something I want to remind everyone of. Please take a moment to remember- now more than ever- we are people like you just trying to do a job and most of us want to get it right every time. We do not ever wish to deal with dissatisfied customers. Please, remember to be courteous to others- especially those producing and handling your food! Today, the staff at this Chick-fil-A location got it 100% right, even though they accidentally got it wrong first. I can't describe how busy this location can be at times. But there is a clear reason for that. I was reminded of it today and it was humbling. Folks, this place is all about customer service on a level that is getting increasingly harder to find in any form. I want to specifically shout out to the young ladies in management that assisted me today. They did so with genuine courtesy and methodically went over my order with me and recognized each missing or accidentally provided item. Ultimately, they remedied the situation in under five minutes and it was nothing short of impressive! It meant a lot to me as a parent with young children waiting in the car- but perhaps more as a fellow worker in the industry. These people did not know me personally- but addressed me by name the entire time, as it was on my online order. To me, coming from a form of competition- I was very impressed by how they protected the company's bottom line while maintaining respect for the customer. I can confidently say, from personal experience- "that the customer is not always right and are most often impatient." In this case, it seemed to be an honest mistake of wrong order tags on wrong components of the order. From my perspective, not only as a customer, but a veteran of this industry, I cringed more at the fact of knowing that if one order was fulfilled incorrectly- it's a safe bet that at least one other order was as a consequence. Mistakes happen. That's why every known language has their own word for it. I can only hope that the other customer was as understanding. For me, this was such an uncommon occurrence all around, and deserved this review: Anyone looking for consistently good fast food in Charlottesville, VA need look no further! This place is fast! Even with a drive thru line extending out of the parking lot many times a day! The staff have always seemed exceptional. They literally run your food to your vehicle before you reach the service window! I have eaten here 100+ times since relocating to the area. The franchise owner really should be proud of the staff they employ and the service being provided. It really is something you have to see in person to believe.
