This Cracker Barrel has been our favorite family stop while traveling for many years, so I'm glad I got to revisit it this weekend! Tensions are high right now regarding the Cracker Barrel branding update, so we had to decide whether it's still the same place we know and love. Good news, it is!! The waitstaff were friendly, accommodating any questions or changes to menu items with a smile. The Old Timer's breakfast was a very filling and satisfying meal with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a side of hashbrowns. I also tried a latte here for the first time, and I do think I'll stick with hot coffee from here in the future, but I'm glad I tried it! Their menu did change a bit with the rebrand, but I don't think many favorite items are missing. If anything, you can customize an order to make it what you like if you can't find your old favorite. This Cracker Barrel location is pretty much like all the other ones. It's usually pretty busy around the usual rush times. However, every time, our server is friendly and polite. My father and I both drink a lot of sweet tea, but they're always more than helpful and sometimes even bring us a refill before we ask. The food can range in quality, so I think it really depends on the day, but usually their fried chicken is reliably good and their ranch is super delicious. We had originally ordered curbside but decided to go in and have a look around the country store, Amy and Sierra (I pray I got their name right) visit was 3/31/25 and these gals were working the store front and were AMAZING at helping me select some gifts for someone. Stopped by while traveling but I definitely could have passed this visit. Cracker Barrel is normally always delicious and fairly quick. But we waited over 50 mins for our food. The waitress didn't even give us a heads up about anything in the kitchen causing a delay. Also, it wasn't busy. My family and I came here for brunch for Mother's Day. I was expecting a long wait because there were a bunch of people waiting outside. We were told 45-50min wait but got seated in 15mins! For it being super busy, they hustled! All 3 of us got the Mama's breakfast which was a ton of food, and so good. Check out was a mess, a big sign said pay by phone but that didn't work and woman at register had no idea about the method. This was a very disappointing stop. Normally Cracker Barrel is one of our favorite places to eat while traveling. By far, this had to be the worst meal I've ever gotten at a Cracker Barrel. We ordered the Friday Fish Fry which was nothing like the Fish Fry CB used to have on Friday. I got 4 very small pieces of some bland way overcooked fish that was hard on the edges like it had been microwaved too long. There was a tiny serving of hash brown casserole and fried okra that tasted like it was right out of a bag. Nothing was hot. The cornbread was horrible and the biscuits weren't cooked. They were pale and doughy in the middle. The only decent part of the meal was the tartar sauce and the iced tea. I've eaten at Cracker Barrel for years and this was a shock. Yesterday we went to Cracker Barrel for my birthday dinner and we were extremely disappointed. The quality of food at this location has declined horrifically and the portion sizes are ridiculous. I am never one to complain about much, but it was baffling. My father and mother got green beans as a side and I kid you not they both got about 10 green beans on their plate. They had to ask for more because it was so pitiful. My boyfriend got French fries and they brought out yet again barely enough for what you pay for. I went for the fried chicken tenders and they were very different from the last time I got them. They were curled up, small, and not breaded as much as they were. My dad never complains about food tasting bad but he did last night, that's how you know it's bad. The waitress was amazing and you could tell she's used to these same reactions to the food. I was looking forward to this meal for my birthday and walked away so disappointed and upset. I've been to many other Cracker Barrel's that were amazing, something has just gone terribly wrong with this one. We were a party of 3 adults and a baby. We ordered at the same time to be on two different checks. I got my food and the other party was 20 minutes after. We talked to a different waitress (because ours wouldn't come check on us) and she said the system messed up their ticket. Okay, why weren't we told that in the beginning? So we waited 5 more minutes and the other party finally got their food. We asked to talk to the manager and they said he'd be out in a minute. Five minutes later another waitress came out and said he won't charge you. The manager never came out even though we asked to talk to him two different times. First impressions are very telling of the expectations of the rest of the visit. Although "Taren" seems polite and professional. Her attention to detail a lil lacking, maybe she's new. Finding out our waitress has a 9 top table on the other side of the restaurant. Making polite complaints to other coworkers to help her out seems useless. Got Andrea in the back that is doing management work, (I'm sure without the title or pay) swamped as well making it hard to manage the others. I've never been to Cracker Barrel in the south before, only ones in the north. This is the nicest Cracker Barrel I've ever been too. The country store is bigger than most. Not a southerner but this place is amazing! I first visited Cracker Barrel in Florida when traveling for work with a woman from Georgia. I fell in love! Stop by each time I am in the middle of nowhere in the south... I am also vegetarian so need to be super careful at this place as meat is *almost* in everything. They have bacon fat in the cornbread! I usually get the vegetables sides - the kale salad, Mac and cheese, hash browns and fried okra. It's delicious! I also always get the dessert - whichever fruit cobbler they have that day. I live across the mountain where we can't get a Cracker Barrel for one reason or another. I used to want one because until I started working jobs where I was traveling I had not eaten at one since I was a kid then i ate at this location a few times and I'm completely done with any and all Cracker Barrel restaurants. The servers have always been friendly but the food sucks. I ate at this location a few Saturday evenings with my mom. I ordered the shrimp with mashed potatoes and coleslaw as my sides. The shrimp and coleslaw were okay, the mashed potatoes were hardly warm (definitely not hot) and tasted fine the first few bites but once I got to the bottom of the bowl of mashed potatoes the gravy looked like it started out looking like a slice of cheese you use on a sandwich and heated up. I could literally pick up the small square of gravy and to me that's not cool. I want real liquid gravy not some sheets of artificial cost effective crap. My mom wasn't overly impressed with the waitress and she wasn't the most attentive server I've ever had but I didn't think it would be write to not tip at all or tip very little. There's much better restaurants back home that I'll stick to instead of going here again. read more

We were on the way back from Fishersville (long story) and stopped in since CB sounded like a great idea as respite from the cold evening! Once inside, we were welcomed by the great fireplace and the friendly service we've come to expect at CBs, no matter where in the country. Since it was a Friday night, the special was a fish fry! I recommend this Cracker Barrel to any country travelers! I'd only been to two other CBs in the past somewhere in Pennsylvania/DE and really enjoyed their home-cooked charm. On this viist, I was in Waynesboro for a wedding at a nearby vineyard and a bunch of our friends decided to go here for brunch the next day. We had a group of 12 and, despite the 45-minute wait, we were seated comfortably and served well. I also really enjoyed the gift shop and "auction" of sale items outside the restaurant. These definitely kept us entertained. In terms of food, I'd suggest the mashed potatoes and mac 'n cheese as sides.
