Stopped by Chick-fil-A in Bastrop recently and had a really good experience. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and felt welcoming. Love the cute touches like real flowers on the tables that make it feel a little less like typical fast food. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out hot and fresh. Waffle fries. Yum. From what I've seen and read, this location stays pretty consistent with fast service and polite staff, which matched my visit. It can get busy, but the team seems organized and keeps things moving. Overall, a solid Chick-fil-A stop if you're in Bastrop and want quick, reliable food in a clean environment... with the exception of Sundays. read more

Was out running errands and decided to stop for a Cobb salad. I went through the drive thru. It moved pretty fast and the attendant was outside to take the order. In a world where younger adults are getting reamed for attitude, it was refreshing to be served by someone who was polite, smiled and helped answer some questions as I do not go here very much. I got spicy chicken on my cobb salad. It was perfect for a lunch to go. I was heading to Austin, so I ate in my car. The chicken was warm, crispy and the salad items were fresh and chilled. Even the hard boild eggs looked good and didn't have that green "glow" that they get sometimes when the salad has been sitting around. Over all, a good lunch option under $10. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews, but after 7 out of 7 visits resulting in incorrect orders, I feel obligated to share my experience. Today's visit was the final straw. I ordered a salad, and once again it was made incorrectly. Even worse, the chicken was so tough and chewy that it was nearly inedible. For a restaurant known for its chicken, that's extremely disappointing. Everyone can make a mistake now and then, but when every single visit results in something being wrong, it points to a larger issue with quality control and order accuracy. I've continued giving this location chances because I generally enjoy Chick-fil-A, but the consistency of these problems has become frustrating. The staff is usually friendly, but friendly service doesn't make up for repeatedly receiving the wrong food or food that doesn't meet basic quality expectations. I hope management takes a serious look at order accuracy and food quality because right now I can't justify returning. 7 visits. 7 incorrect orders. That's not bad luck--that's a pattern. read more

Used the Bastrop location today for a catering order. Not only were they prompt, but they got the order 100% correct. They even called when I was running a few minutes late to make sure we remembered our order. The crew was friendly when I walked in and offered to help carry out the order. Everyone enjoyed the food. We simply did their boxed lunches which are perfect for meetings. Breaded chicken sandwiches, chips and a cookie in each box. Great service and great food each time. By far my favorite Chick-fil-A, I drive out of my way to come to this one. I wish I would have taken a before photo because it took me like 8 minutes to get from the back of a huge line to just a few feet away from my food on a SATURDAY night. Just such a disappointment. I travel all over the US and Chick-Fil-A is a go to restaurant for our family. This was easily the nastiest one I have ever seen. The trash cans were overflowing, the outside tables were just nasty, and the overall trash/floors/cleanliness was just disgusting. I realize high volume creates challenges in cleanliness, but this was unacceptable. Staff was nice, food was not hot, service was good. Chick-Fil-A has MUCH higher standards than this, which is what sets it apart from other fast food restaurants. Please give this location some much needed attention and bring the rating back to where it belongs. read more

This location has recently gone downhill. Orders wrong. Unfriendly service. Out of lettuce? How does that happen. Used Chic Fila app to place order but for some reason they allow an order for an item they can't provide. Just issues from start to finish. Must be new management? All in all, the kids that work there do a decent job or at least they try to. Some of them look so lifeless when taking your order, but hey, it's a fast paced job they're just standing there outside all day. Guess you can't really blame them for their attitude. Now, the food itself. The food/chicken is great. Love it when it comes out hot and spicy, but that's the thing. You gotta hope you even get the right kind of chicken you ordered - I would say after a trial testing of about 20 orders at this location, they have about at least a 20% chance to serve your order incorrectly. Around 4-5 of my orders have come out to be a chicken muffin instead of a chicken burrito like I ordered for whatever reason. Also, some of my chicken sandwiches have come out with literally no salad and tomatoes (guess someone just forgot to do that part in the kitchen). Very disheartening stuff, I know. Overall, food itself is great. Whether your desired food even gets to you appropriately/correctly is another question entirely. read more

This hurts my heart to leave a negative review for Chick-fil-A (because I've never had a bad experience with ANY Chick-fil-A), but this place has given me bad experiences the last 3-4 visits!! I tried to give them the befit of the doubt, but not after 4 times... They have given me a grilled sandwich when I ordered crispy, they have forgotten my sauces 3 out of 4 times and then when I requested it after the food was brought to my car, they had the audacity to say they should "charge me" for the sauce (that they forgot!!) that was included with my nuggets. I called about a mixed up order previously and they said they would have the order at the restaurant if I came back to get it, so I turned all the way around to go back and they still didn't have the order right and didn't include the "free dessert" they offered due to messing up the order in the first place. Very disappointed in my last visit. I ordered to go and because I've never had any issues at any other chic-fil-a (I'm new to Bastrop) I didn't bother to check my bags/food before I got home. In the picture below was supposed to be a 4pc nugget kids meal. I'm assuming that because some pieces were so small they gave extra; but OMGEEE! My daughter couldn't even eat these! Wow. The people who work here are amazing! I just came here for breakfast for the first time today and Eric took my order outside. He was so nice and walked me through the menu which was great because I was clearly unfamiliar. The chicken biscuit is fantastic and the coffee was way better than I expected. Really the people make this place. So friendly and helpful. I know it sounds super cheesy to say so but they really do brighten your day. When you get all of your food it is good service is always quick but store managers seem more interested in flirting than paying attention to what is going on! Ordered a salad with extra roasted corn and asked if I could have the hot chicken strips separate from the cold salad and was charged for the salad with chicken and a chicken strip meal! Went thru the drive thru and ordered a 30-ct nuggets, 2 medium waffle fries, a spicy chicken sandwich and a large lemonade. But I realized they had overcharged us- double. We got our order and it had 4 extra waffle fries. So I rolled the window down and told the employee directing traffic that we had 6 waffle fries. They directed us to a parking spot and said they were getting the 30ct nuggets and sandwich. Less than five minutes later, they had brought it to us. We ended up getting more food than we had ordered because they told us to keep the food they had already given us, so it all worked out in the end. read more

This location cannot seem to manage to complete an order, correctly. No mayo . Missing a sandwich. Missing one drink. Why you all make people return for missing items is beyond me. There comes a point, where, " I'm sorry," just stops meaning anything, when nothing changes every visit. If customers were actually compensated for having to return, chic fIl A would stop apologizing and start actually caring and bother to complete orders correctly. This location used to have amazing service, the absolute gold standard for service, not anymore I guess. I would say it's because of the shift to pandemic procedures however even when the pandemic hit they were phenomenal, other business' in town modeled their service after them! Within the last few weeks something must have changed because now orders are coming out entirely wrong or not at all. Recently we ordered a couple sandwiches and drinks as usual and the drinks came out with almost no ice in them, and the sandwiches came out wrong. Not too long ago we also visited the same location and my fiancée who is deathly allergic to cucumbers asks every time for no pickles and almost every time we visit gets pickles. We almost never make it out of the parking lot before we realize something is wrong. We love Chick-fil-A a great deal and this location has been great to us in the past with friendly staff, great tasting food, and amazing service but in the last few weeks something has changed drastically and it is very disappointing. This was a major disappointment. I was visiting from SF where I am a big fan of Chick Fil a. 1st after ordering and being asked to pull up to a pick up stall. I waited 10 min for an associate come to ask what my name was and what did I order. 2nd she came with only medium drinks when I clearly asked for large. I don't get the hype, so I also don't get why so many are willing to wait in line for a chicken sandwich. I ended up having to give my order to a guy walking up down the line of cars without seeing a menu. They didn't even have a menu to look at and expected you to know the menu by heart, yet I've never been there before. So the guy told me what to get and plugged it into his tablet just for us to get completely different items even though my name was on the bag. After the long wait, both meals we ordered messed up, the sandwiches were bland and the inaccuracy of their systems only enforced why I just don't get the hype. Popeye's sandwich is just as good, a better value and it doesn't have to be mission impossible to get lunch during lunch hours. The sandwich had been kept in a warmer. it doesn't take a genius to figure out cheese will melt when kept in a warmer. So, my pimento sandwich had turned into a queso sandwich. it was horrible, and I was very disappointed. just seems that management would know this type of sandwich can't be kept in a warmer. read more
