He refused to replace the potato wedges that got cold & soggy during this process. Top it off the manager then followed my husband to his car in a threatening manner because my husband threatened to call corporate.. this is Texas so my husband informed him he better have a gun because he had one in his pocket.. only then did the manager turn around & went back inside. I was out shopping and thought it would be a great idea to pick up some KFC on the way home. I used the mobile app and it told me my order would be ready in five minutes, which was perfect timing. I drove over to the restaurant and had to go inside, because they do not offer mobile pick up outside or in the drive-thru. There were six or seven people standing around waiting and when I saw that my order was not in the pick up area, I just sat down to wait. It was really strange because anyone who drove up and ordered through the drive-thru would drive up to the window and their order would be ready. After about 15 minutes with no one getting their inside order, we finally started asking questions. At one point they sent out an employee to ask each person what they had ordered. It was total chaos. I spent 35 minutes inside the lobby area before my small order of one two piece meal was ready to go. It seemed like all of a sudden multiple orders were coming out and there was no explanation given as to why everyone had to wait so long. They had plenty of chicken so I guess the employees just got a confused. The food was good, but after the long wait it was not worth it! read more

don't believe in posting reviews because they don't seem to do any good. My young daughter is my inspiration to write this one. Earlier this week we stopped in to eat. The worker threw my food down on the counter in front of me. We sat down. The chicken was greasy and tasted old and the french fries were cold. I took two bites when i heard a female employee yelling at the top of her voice and using profanity, out of the drive through window at someone ,in the parking lot. This disturbed me and scared my young daughter. She said to me "Daddy did i do something wrong? Is she yelling at me? " I reassured her that no, nothing is her fault and she isn't in trouble. I quickly asked someone if they knew what was going on. And was told that it was the manager yelling at an elderly couple who's RV broke down and that they were blocking the drive through. I looked at my daughter who now had tears streaming down her cheeks. I got her up and threw our uneaten food in the trash as i walked out the door We got in the car and my daughter was still crying and said "Daddy I'm scared, Is that mean girl going to yell at me again." Once again i reassured her. I was curious as to what was exactly going on. So i slowly drove my car in front of the building. I saw the RV with its hood open. I didn't see anyone standing around the RV, in the parking lot or in front of the drive through window. The RV was pulled over to the side with lots of room with a clear unobstructed path to the drive through. I could still hear the manager yelling and swearing at them. In todays world with schools, churches and businesses being shot up we need to use as much diplomacy as possible. I feel that this woman's actions could of put her employees and customers in unnecessary harms way with her unprofessional, lack of thought and hot temperdness. The oils that they fry the chicken in has an "old" taste and, if you can get past that, the chicken had set under a heat lamp, or whatever they use to keep it warm, for far too long leaving both of us looking for another place to get edible food. I was looking at yelp today to see the reviews for this KFC in Bastrop. Last time I went there (3 years ago) the drive through person told is they were out of chicken! I've decided not to go there now because of all the one star reviews. This many people giving bad reviews is a good indicator. I've been to this KFC ONCE and I will NEVER go again. This is some of the worst food I have ever had in my entire life. First off, the moment I walked in there was some sort of stench and flies swarmed every corner of the restaurant. The floor was sticky and gum was also on the floor. I waited at an empty cash register for TEN MINUTES before I even saw an employee. After I had seen someone and asked them to serve me, they stared at me and continued putting baking pans away without saying anything. After someone finally came to serve me, they took my order halfway through and then left for another 5 minutes. After about a total of 20 minutes, my order was finally taken and I waited. I decided to grab some iced tea which was somehow warm. I heard cussing in the back and they were all making inappropriate jokes. As I finally got my food, I tried the chicken tenders first and I kid you not THEY WERE THE EXACT TEXTURE OF RUBBER. I could not even bite through it. It was absolutely horrendous. The chicken sandwich was also rubbery and had cheap mayonnaise on it. The fries were cold and the only somewhat good thing on the menu was the fried chicken itself. It was a little warm and somewhat crispy. However, while eating it, I found some sort of hard black thing in the skin of the chicken. It looked like it had wings and it may or may not have been a fly cooked into the chicken. The Mac and Cheese was also nasty and the cheese tasted like soap. Overall this is disgusting. We went through the drive through and ordered 12-piece chicken without the breast. The response I got was kind of strange. She replied, " we can't do that". I asked her well what can you do? She replied, "you can only get it the way it is". I asked my wife; let's gust get my son 2 pieces of chicken because it does not make since to pay over $30 almost $40 for chicken no one in our family eats. That mean we will pay for chicken we will throw away. The original person that was taking my order brought a guy to the window. I ordered the two pieces of chicken only. He said that will be $7:03. I drove up to the window to make sure I understood what he said. I repeated the price. 7:03 for 2 pieces of chicken only. He said "yes". I said thank you but no thank you. and I left. I will definitely be contacting corporate to make sure if this is the way they handle business, I will not be supporting this type of behavior. We were totally surprised that they would change the price on their chicken if they don't like you changing their pre-selected pieces of chicken. Got home in Paige, and noticed the dark meat pieces were a little to pink for us and called the store up, also was missing a piece of chicken. The manager "Karra" answered and said "no one else has called about the chicken, what do you want me to do about it?" So I brought it back to store and showed her the chicken and she kept on saying it isn't pink and there is no blood, I kept telling her I never said anything about it being bloody but it is pink for me. Food: Have ordered different plates but lately have opted for the two grilled chicken breasts with one side (potato wedges). Chicken was moist and well flavored. Food was filling. Wedges were a bit over crispy in some areas and not appetizing to eat. Seemed like they were overcooked. Other than that, the food was good. Service: Have visited this location both as dine-in and drive thru. Both times, service was good. Employees are knowledgeable of the menu items and are throughout restaurant was kept clean. Was craving chicken today so I decided to go to kfc for the first time in forever. I have been using mobile apps for food for a little over a year now so I used the kfc app and went to the drive thru to say that I had a mobile order. They told me to drive to the front of the store and someone would bring it out. I waited and they bring me my food and what I think was the manager says to me that I have to come inside for mobile orders. Of course he had brought me my food for this time but he told me I had to walk in next time. My girlfriend and I came to this drive thru today around 6pm because her uncle had just found out he had a few months to live, and we wanted to get him a nice dinner. Since we were ordering for the entire family, it took us a few minutes to decide what we were going to order. While we discussed, I made sure that no one else pulled into the drive thru behind us. However, the employee kept asking us if we were ready to order every thirty seconds despite us saying we would need a minute. My girlfriend, being the kind and considerate person she is, kept politely telling them we needed more time. She ordered a 12 piece only for them to tell her it would be a 30 minute wait. It was dinner time on a weekday night. A 30 minute wait is absolutely unacceptable for a fast food establishment. This KFC isn't a fast food restaurant, it's a joke. We went to Popeyes instead and were in and out of the drive thru with a 16 piece and three sides in 10 minutes. I highly recommend the Popeyes. It's only a 2 minute drive across the street.
