THE WORST: I have ordered from here several times via Grubhub. ZERO of my info has changed. Same address, same phone number. I ordered a pizza tonight and waited 20 mins past delivery time (8:31 placed order and 9:57 I called). No pizza. I spoke with the manager Fernando and he was externally rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate of the lack of delivery. Refused to assist and hung up the phone said it "not his problem". Ordered delivery of deep dish with pepperoni, mushrooms, onion on half and black olive on half. Although the tomato sauce and cheese were truly delish and toppings were tasty, there were disappointments. First of all, crust was doughy and undercooked except at edges and the very bottom, and tasted mealy. Second, the toppings were stingy. Pepperoni was close to non-existent and black olives and mushrooms lighter than expected. (A fair amount of strong-tasting onion, however.) This pizza was not cheap and we ended up scraping off the toppings and throwing away the crust, so we didn't get our money's worth. Don't know if they had an off night but hope they will try to do better. read more

I am a big fan of Chicago's pizza. They have wonderful thin slices of pizza, delicious sandwiches and their soup is always on point. Service is consistent and they hold themselves in a professional manner. If I really had to be honest though, the real gem here is their canolis. My son and I have celiac disease. We came here because of reviews we had read. It did not disappoint. Gluten free was clearly marked on the menu. One review was disappointed because gf took longer, but that was on the menu as well. GF deep dish pizza takes 20 minutes longer and it was worth it. I have ordered from here many times and never had any complaints but over the last few months, it's gotten really bad. First: toppings, whatever you want on your pizza, just go to the store and buy it and then order a cheese pizza because no matter what you order, that's all your getting. They put no toppings on the pizza. It's basically just a cheese pizza. Second: whoever is cutting the pizza has never actually looked at it. I get the most absurd cuts in the pizza. Diagonal, criss-cross, triangles, squares, one side cut into tiny pieces and one side in large pieces. I seen it all. I'm done with this place. It really sucks lately. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been a customer for 6+ years to the Chicago's Pizza franchise, but I have never been disrespected like this before. I an order through our corporate account from the 3114 N. Lincoln Ave location via Seamless.com (GrubHub). I knew it was Lollapalooza weekend so I was very patient and waited for the call from the delivery guy which never came. I instead received a call from my works security stating I have a food delivery. I rushed downstairs to be greeted by a heated and angry delivery person Angel. He stated, "I called YOU over a thousand times, with no answer!!" "You should have given us the right number to call!" and other aggressive tone statements. I stated my number has not changed in 7 years and should be on the receipt. When I look at the receipt I noticed it was an incorrect number, off by the last digit. I go upstairs to verify the Seamless receipt, which has my correct number. At this point, I call Chicago's Pizza to explain the issue to both an associate and the manager (Martin). The associate understood and when the manager came on the line, he was just as angry as Angel. Martin stated the Seamless orders are entered manually so the delivery guy Angel should have called the store to verify the number. Martin advised he is going to talk to Angel and that he is not going to fire him because he worked there for over 3 years. He also stated he is not going to issue any type of compensation for the mistake they made. He states Seamless charges a fee and if I need or want anything, I need to call Seamless. I stated I'm not looking for someone to get fired but he should be more professional when dealing with customers because you are representing a brand and not just yourself. Don't think I will be ordering or ever going back to Chicago's Pizza. Have a great day. Response to the Managers note below: Actually, there was no compensation nor a "50% credit" offered at all. Martin told me specifically that Seamless charges high fees, no compensation will be given and to contact Seamless if I want any type of refund or compensation. We were alittle nervous about having Indian food on our pizza but we were absolutely surprised by how wonderful it tasted! Will definitely come here again. The service was friendly and super helpful since we had never been here before. The cashier even gave a recommendation on a pizza that we enjoyed till the very last bite. Been ordering from Chicago's for 20 years and usually for the deep dish (the house special spinach with a blend of cheeses is delicious). The thin crust is just okay and the crust is sort of meh to me, but my husband likes it, so take that with a grain of salt. Alternatively, we like to order buffalo chicken tenders. Used to be just a choice between bone in wings and boneless, but they changed a while back to three choices: Bone-in; boneless that supposedly has the "sauce built right in," but doesn't seem to and are (were anyway) almost devoid of sauce; and jumbo boneless chicken tenders. We ordered the tenders last night which turned out to be large flat breast cutlets not tenders. What? Tenders are supposed to be finger food; what we got were knife and fork cutlets or like what you'd put on a sandwich. And except for the bottom of the pile, they were really dry and not at all glistening with my beloved buffalo sauce. Silly and just not what any reasonable person would expect or want when ordering "tenders." I just don't like the muss and fuss of bone-in wings so prefer boneless. We also used to really love the Casa de Cabra (baked marinara and goat cheese with toasted bread), but the last few times we've ordered (over a year apart), the marinara seems to be off and changed. Greek salad was really good, as always. I realize most people eating/ordering are after the pizza. Again, deep dish is pretty solid. Thin is just okay. Ordered a pizza and sandwich from the restaurant and had horrible quality food so I emailed with my complaint and no response, so I just called and spoke to the manager and explained the situation. Instead of hearing my complaint he argued back having an excuse for the poor quality food. Never again will food be ordered from this place, oh if you order a gluten free item they will still cross contamination it so they truly have no gluten free items. Credit card scam! I placed my usual order using my debit card. They ran a preauthorization charge and then, in addition they charged the full amount again. The preauthorization was held for 3 days causing my account to be overdrawn, incurring a $30.00 overdraft charge. I was unable to put money on my transit card yesterday and I had to walk home from work. It was in the low 20's. We have been loyal fans of this restuarant but I do not have disposable income to end up paying over $100.00 for a pizza. read more

Sooo glad we found this place! This is some of the best gluten free pizza I've ever had!! The stuffed crust pizza is amazing and compared to other places it's a good value for the money. Great crust that you can't even tell is gluten free and the sauce was excellent. The house salad was so-so but we'll definitely be back here next time we're in town for the pizza! read more

It is funny because it seems that while I do frequent Chicago's Pizza it is never for the pizza. When I do want pizza, I tend to lean towards another place a block away. But I tend to order from here at least 3 times more often than there. OK- follow all that? Chicago's Pizza has these huge AWESOME salads that everyone in my office is hooked on. I am partial to the Avocado salad and my boss loves the Chicken Pasta Salad. They are very accommodating if you need to change something on the salad, which implies that every salad is fresh made to order not just mass produced during AM prep. The girl on the phone was also kind enough to look through every dressing they have to figure out which ones didn't have sugar in them for me. They also offer pizza by slice for days I feel like getting off my tush and walking down to get one. But like I said, not my favorite pizza, so I rarely take that route. read more

This pizza is okay for a late night I don't have any groceries in my fridge but I'm really hungry snack. I have been here too many times when I'm toasted but other times as well when I'm sober. I have tried their pasta and it's fairly good. There's not a lot of seating in the express area but you can come early and eat at a big table if you prefer. Chicago's pizza is great. They are pretty much across the street from me so I can grab a slice even in the middle of the night when I get the munchies. The deep dish is fairly tasty, but I like their thin crusts better. Somehow all their pizza crusts taste buttery without being overly greasy. They also serve decent burgers and salads if you are into that. read more

Hands down the best gluten free deep dish in the city. Spinach is my go to. It arrives early , and piping hot every time. They even leave it uncut to avoid gluten contamination in the kitchen. Others say it's quality deep dish with fresh ingredients. I say it's all of that! I love this place and it has been become a staple for me as far as deep dish pizza goes. I've only gotten food delivered, never dined in. Their prices are just a tad bit higher than one of my favorite places but it doesn't keep me from ordering.
