Very tasty sandwiches. Good to have a place where you can get east coast style sandwiches. I've enjoyed everything I've had here. Kind of a retro atmosphere. Nice and welcoming atmosphere, and friendly, quick service.
Came back to try their classic Chicago sandwich. Yep. Another confirmation of their greatness. It was awesome! Heads up though. Pastrami was heavily peppered (which I like!) which may be too powerful for some. But not my son and I. We enjoyed our meal. 5 stars holding strong!
Went here during Salmon Days and they were busy which is a good thing!. Ordered a couple sandwiches and a large fry to share. The fries were very hot and just lightly salted which was great for us! I had the classic Chicago. It was good and looking forward to trying something different next time.
Busy day when we went due to Salmon Days on Saturday. We wanted to support a local business during the festival. We waited 5-10 minutes in line to order then grabbed a coveted table. We waited another 10-ish minutes for our name to be called. I ordered the PLT no mayo. There is a lot of bread and reasonable amount of meat, but barely any tomatoes... tbh I'm not sure there were tomatoes. Shared a large order of fries which were not salted too much which was a nice surprise. The sandwich by itself wouldn't have filled me up so for the price tag of $15.70 it felt pricey for the size it was. The pastrami was also kinda salty hence the four stars....also because they charge 3.5% on ANY order using a credit card. I understand needing a minimum order for credit cards but charging the customer 3.5% for any size order feels unnecessary when the prices are what they are. Prices did not include that fee. All prices are cash only. The place gives a mom and pop soda shop kind of vibe with the decor and stools and garage door for entry. Not sure if we would order again with the prices and additional charges for credit card given the amount for the sammies.
We stumbled on Chicago Pastrami after the other place we tried for lunch had a line out the door. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly greeted by a very nice man whom I assume was the owner. I tried to order the Cheesesteak with onions only and he said sure no problem. When he went to ring it up, he suggested I just order the Dip. I agreed although I would have rather had Provolone than Swiss. My dining partner ordered the Chicago Cheesesteak. We also ordered a side of Garlic Fries. Both the Dip and Cheesesteak were underwhelming. The meat was seemingly a cheap cut and a bit tough. The meat was under seasoned and lacked flavor. The sides are quite pricey in my opinion starting at $8.50. The Garlic Fries were $10.00. Although the portions were huge, they could have easily feed 2-4 people. I would much rather see them cut the price and portion in half. It was way too much for the two of us. The fries were also underwhelming. They were limp, luke warm and under seasoned. Had they been hot, crisp and salted they would have been wonderful. The Owner was very sweet and we love supporting local but this wasn't a hit for us.
Stopped by this past weekend and Chicago Pastrami did not miss. I grabbed the Seattle dog and some pastrami, and both were spot-on. The pastrami had great flavor and a solid portion, and the Seattle dog is an easy standout. It's a casual, fun spot where you order at the counter, and the family-owned vibe comes through right away -- everyone working there was friendly and on it. Prices felt totally reasonable for the quality and portions. If you're craving a no-frills, delicious pastrami fix, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

Delicious food with consistently good flavors and temperature. Lots of selection of items on the menu including Chicago pastrami, variety of hot dogs, sides like garlic aioli fries (my fav and huge portion), as well as beef shawarma plate and gyro plates. A must try in the area.
Happened to drive by and made a quick u-turn to come here, so glad I did! I tried the Chicago Classic and the Reuben -- so tasty and made with care. Super casual setting, order at the counter and find a seat. I will be back to try more!
It was office lunch. It is about 3.5. It was too salty for my classic sandwich. The sandwich good portion of Pastrami, salty and bread was okay. It was expensive sandwich. My coworkers like their sandwiches. The beef sandwich did look more like veggie sandwich. No picture.

They have a variety of sandwiches, hot dogs, Armenian pastrami, burgers and more. You have to order your fries or onion rings separately unless they have a special where the fries may be included. I went with the Chicago cheesesteak. My bread had a nice crust without being too crusty and leaving crumbs everywhere when you bite it. The bread was soft on the inside and had plenty of meat and filling. The sand which was solid eats overall. The best thing I could say is that I wasn't mad at it. My husband went with the pastrami and it loaded with meat. The meat was a little on the dry side but very flavorful. If I was in the area and had a hankering for a sandwich I'd definitely come back. It's a cute little vintage retro diner vibe to it and a great place to have a great and casual meal.

Chicago "Pastrami". I honestly didn't know Chicago was known for its pastrami. If it is, then I guess I'm not Chicagoan enough. However, they did have Italian beef and a Chicago dog on the menu. Those are the safer choices, so that's what we went with. First off, it's on the pricey side. And fries are separate. The wait was a bit long... but sometimes that's a good thing- means it's made to order. While waiting, I noticed the way the place was decorated with old posters and a gum ball machine that looked like it was once a fuel pump. Gotta say that was cool. The food arrives. It looks a bit funny. The beef has what looks like vinegar-based pickled veggies on top, rather than the more oil-based giardiniera & peppers that I'm used to. However, the sandwich was dipped to perfection, and the meat was flavorful. Very pleasantly surprised with how enjoyable it was. The Chicago dog's sport peppers were oddly horizontally lined up and down the hot dog. There was way too much onion. However, somehow they actually included the neon relish, and all the other fixings were hidden underneath. And yes, there was celery salt! While the bun wasn't poppyseed (damn near impossible to find here), and the hot dog was split & pan-fried... this was also a very enjoyable dish. Oh yeah, the fries were delicious, just needed a bit more salt. Overall... I really liked what we got here. It's not completely authentic to Chicago, but if you're craving decent diner/greasy spoon type of food and don't mind paying a bit more, this is not a bad place to stop at in Issaquah.

Gosh , midwestern delightttt! Please if you are thinking this is too pricey, RECONSIDER!!! Lots of meat that's homemade and freshhh , can't beat this , and they check in with you table touch . As a chef , I love this soo much ! Best hidden gem for a quick bite - and don't forget the hatchery is down the street ! read more

Went here during Salmon Days and they were busy which is a good thing!. Ordered a couple sandwiches and a large fry to share. The fries were very hot and just lightly salted which was great for us! Stopped by this past weekend and Chicago Pastrami did not miss. I grabbed the Seattle dog and some pastrami, and both were spot-on. The pastrami had great flavor and a solid portion, and the Seattle dog is an easy standout. So not what I was expecting from the outside and sign but pleasantly surprised. This place offers deli classics like a hot pastrami, Reuben, a meatball sandwich but also offers a bunch of middle eastern/Mediterranean dishes like a Falafel basket, shawarma wraps and baklava. I got the classic Chicago which is a hot pastrami sandwich with pickles and ground yellow mustard. It was perfect and juicy, with crisp edges. Everything was fresh and perfect. One of the best pastrami's I've ever had. Service here is good, you have what I believe is a family who works together and is very accommodating to what you want. I then ordered a Damascus ice cream which is a very floral flavored ice cream which smells to almost taste like rose but actually gets its flavor from a tree resin/gum it was so good and delicate in flavor. I also ordered a cookie and it was freshly baked, everything was delicious and the vibe here is nice. Will be here again if I'm up this way. read more

I was driving through town yesterday and was stuck in traffic and noticed this restaurant I pulled over decided to run in and grab a sandwich. Haven't been there before I ordered the Reuben and I can see that the price has gone up four dollars from somebody's photo they posted a year ago. I think I paid $19 for a Reuben sandwich with tax to me. That's a little pricey. I didn't get even a pickle with it. I think you can order french fries on the side for eight dollars and onion rings or $10 $30 for a sandwich and some french fries is just too much. The sandwich was very good. It was piping hot. Looks like family run restaurant to brother and a mother and a father. Just for the price point, I don't think I would return for that kind of money. Somebody should be waiting on me not ordering a counter. read more

Delicious food, and fast friendly service!!! My husband and I stopped by this spot while were in town. I'm from the east coast so I love seeing foods that aren't from here. We decided to try the cheese stea, Mac and cheese bites and to my surprise they had one of my favorite fizzy drinks! Vimto! The cheesesteak was 10/10!! Perfectly soft and tasty bread that doesn't get soggy fast. The veggies were fresh and cooked well. The steak a bit on the thicker side, but still made to perfection because it was tender and very well seasoned! The Mac and cheese bites were a fun and nostalgic little snack! Fried to perfection and filled with gooey cheese and it tastes like Kraft Mac and cheese which was a pleasant surprise!! I absolutely adore vimto! It's a sparkly drink from the Uk and it's very popular in the Middle East. If you like cream soda and berries, give it a shot because that's exactly what it tastes like. I was thrilled to see it because it's not something easily found here in Washington!! The server was extremely friendly and informative in helping us make our selections! We had a lovely lunch and plan to be back very soon! read more

Delicious sandwich! We had the Reuben style. Made really well. Nicely toasted, lots of filling - meat, cheese, kraut, sauce. Messy, but really enjoyed it. All sides separate. Have to come back and try other things! read more
It's messy and it's delicious. Like New Yorkers I like my mustard but when I'm in a Chicago place it's both. Ate my pastrami open-faced with a fork. I heard of cutting corners I got the end of the bread or the beginning of a loaf. However you want to put it. I wished they told me because I would have said flip it over to catch every morsel of meat. Slowed cooked and sliced to perfection. Some people said pricy but the proof is in the meat. They have it and you will enjoy it at the cost it is. I took the 1/2 hour ride so it's worth the trip and wait. Understaffed as everyone else kinda is. But wait and put it in your mouth.. You'll be back in Chicago like on The Bear, with no fighting or loudness.. read more

I stopped in for a Reuben Sandwich for my husband. We had never eaten here before, but as I was walking by, I peeked in the window, and it looked just like a New York sandwich shop. So I couldn't resist getting my husband his favorite sandwich to try. Even though it wasn't "fresh" by the time he ate it, he said it was the best Reuben he's ever had. The man who took my order was friendly. I waited a bit for the sandwich, but they had signs everywhere informing people that they were short staffed and to have patience. So the wait was no big deal. My husband and I will definitely come back to eat in the restaurant! read more

The food is super fresh! Quite salty but VERY filling. Also-the garlic cream sauce? AMAZING. It's homemade and free! It's so good! I didn't see any pics for burgers so I got this double burger because I like trying burgers at new joints-but please don't judge me for getting a burger at a pastrami place! The meat is their own and WAY better than any other burger joint i'ver been in! But again, salty! The servicd was swift and polite. Glad he recommended we get two baskets of fries instead of three! The ambiance was very fun! It was full of signs and all fun to read! Overall, great service! read more
Chicago Pastrami is always delicious, though it can be a little inconsistent. I usually get the Reuben with mac and cheese bites. I have to say, if you order earlier in the day, the pastrami is usually more moist whereas it can be dry towards the end of day. The store front is so cute, and the staff are always kind and efficient. Love this place and I'll definitely be back! read more

Chicago Pastrami is genuinely the worst restaurant in all of Issaquah. I wish I was overexaggerating, but I cant even put into words how bad every factor of this place was. I ordered the "Italian Sandwich Special" for a crazy 16 dollars. Already an insane price for a sandwich from the start, but I thought it would all be fine when I actually ate it. I never thought someone could screw up a sandwich so badly. After 30 whole minutes to make one sandwich, the waitress brought out this vile monstrosity of "Italian cuisine." It looked worse than anything a school lunch lady could whip up with underfunded ingredients. It looked like a 5 year old's attempt to make breakfast in bed for his mom. The bread was insanely soggy, to the point where it was dripping out of the paper wrapping. How the hell do you get bread this soggy? I have no clue, but it was basically uneatable as a sandwich because as soon as i picked it up it broke apart like slime so I had to use a fork to get what I could out of it. The beef was obviously low quality, where as they basically threw a bunch of cold pickled vegetables from a jar all over the sandwich. I added photos to this review so you can see for yourself. To add on to this, I immediately felt sick to the stomach after eating this so it was obviously unsanitary. The fact that IT COST 16 DOLLARS and TOOK 30 MINUTES is dumbfounding to me. This is the worst place in all of Issaquah and I beg anyone reading this please please please not to go to this absolute garbage restaurant. I wish all the worst for Chicago Pistrami and hope they go out of business. 0/10. read more
