Orders are made per order and no preference is made based on in store or online order, as far as I could tell. Wings are good, I definitely would get them again. Since Springfield lost our Roosters, either Wing Stop or Fricker's will might become my replacement wing place. I got the 8 classic wing combo with fries and an order of fried corn. The fried corn is Cajun spiced enough to make my nose run, wow. I got the wings with hickory smoked bbq which I liked. I thought the food was very good, service excellent, bar staff attentive, management welcoming. My wife and I visited there for the first time last night in support of a friend, who was performing music there with his band. We arrived two hours early so that I could scope out a good location to shoot video of his set. My wife came over directly from work, so we decided to dine there, even though there was a big pot of my fabulous green chile pork stew sitting in the pressure cooker at home. My wife ordered a burger -- I forget which one, but it was pretty hefty and came equipped with a beer cheese that she absolutely raved about. I ordered a Cuban pork sandwich. The last time I had a good one was in Miami 8 years ago, and I believe most would agree that that's a long time to go without Cuban pork. The sandwich was excellent! I needed a doggy bag, though... because of... *those fries*. And I ain't big on carbs. Fries are generally an annoyance to me that usually go cold and remain on the plate when the waiter brings the check. But these were damned good fries. Beer-battered (somehow), and I will not rest until obtain their recipe. They're really that good! Couldn't stop eating them. And, oh yes -- their buffalo wings are also mighty fine appetizers. Mind you, my wife and I are food snobs who believe that our mastery of recipes are superior to most local restaurant fare, although that's not hard to do in Springfield, a town where Frisch's Big Boy and Golden Corral are considered a good night out by some (and too many). I think Raul(?) was our server. He didn't hover to such a degree that we wanted him to just go away, but he was there when we needed him. Hats off to the server. Every time I visited the bar, I was waited on within scant minutes. Hats off to the bartender that night. The manager came by to introduce himself to us. His wife sat down with my wife and conversed with her for almost a half-hour during a break in my friend's set. They genuinely seem to care about each individual customer experience. Two thumbs up, Buckeye! I don't care what the others say!

I was charged an extra dollar for the plain hamburger than what the menu listed (deluxe cheeseburger was $1 more) 6. I paid with a $20 bill for a $9.13 bill 7. The change I was given was 2 $5 bills (they just kept the $.87 change) I left a whole dollar tip and left! Other than poor service, poorly prepared burger, stale bun, bad chips, incorrect charge and incorrect change, everything was fine. I think they just want to sell pizzas!

Made great friends but eventually my husband was promoted, and we left Ohio, very sad to go. But we have fond memories of our time and friends there, and recently we returned, after 20 years, to attend a friend's funeral. While living there, one of our favorite restaurants was Hickory Inn. While there we returned and it was like stepping into a time warp. It hasn't changed much. Made me very nostalgic. Food was pretty much the same. They have a varied menu, but are best known for their pizza. This is not fine dining, but solid, good food in a semi-dive bar setting. I enjoyed returning.

And the hot pepper cheese bites hold their own. Decent, nothing remarkable, Cole slaw. One problem, they put the cold with hot. And warm Cole slaw doesn't do it for me. Maybe you love it, what do I care? Baked beans came cold, maybe that's a fluke or maybe they always come cold. Either way, I won't be ordering them again. And they ALWAYS forget the rolls, which is fine taste-wise, but the miser in me gets pissy about paying for something and it doesn't come. The chicken makes up for it. And I'm telling you now, skip the slice of Buckeye Pie at, like $4, I took a pic of the slice I bought to try and used a Hersheys size as a size guide. You get my drift? This is not a negative review, friends! I think it's a great restaurant! Seriously, we order from it all the time. Try the dang chicken!
