I'm glad we tried this place, in spite of some less than "stellar" reviews. Small(ish) place (nice covered patio for warmer weather) but some great menu choices, and we experienced fine, attentive service on a surprisingly busy Monday evening. While neither of us ordered their namesake wings (next time!) we did enjoy a happy hour priced app. of their garlic bread, which was more like a cheesy pita/na'an pizza. If you order pizza, this might not be your top choice, but it was good-- more cheesy than garlicky, really. They've got some top-notch pizza choices (no, I promise, I'm NOT really a pizza snob and can recognize GOOD pizza when I see/taste it!!) and we went for the roasted veggie "Grateful Dead" 12" pizza. Extra cheesy (I think they mixed in brie with the standard mozzarella mix...) and awesome, FRESH tasting veggies, not a bad choice at all. The Mister was happy with the craft beer choices, and his fish and chips were "good, not greasy," and he only wished the portion had been a bit larger. Not that big a place, so I'm sure it gets CRAZY on weekends, but all in all a fine experience here at the Wing Bar. We'll be back...!!

Under cooked chicken. Kid ate it before we noticed.

Ok, stopped here after walking around Cedar Bog Nature Preserve. Waitress was very nice. Food not so good. We had the calamari appetizer. Which wasn't very flavorful, and it needed some seasoning. The chicken wings were under cooked. My wife liked her pizza. I had the shrimp platter. All the item on the platter seem very poor quality store bought items. Overall this place cost too much for what you get.

Stopped here for lunch. The food was delicious but the service was a bit slow and inconsistent. If you come, I would recommend ordering in advance for takeout. Highlight of the meal was that the citrus barbecue wings were awesome.

Great wings, beer selection, and ambience. And weekend music that exceeds all expectations. What a great spot to visit in Urbana.

The food left much to be desired. Our table of 7 ordered a variety of dishes such as the Rise and Shine, Country Breakfast Skillet, a pancake, and breakfast sandwich. The grits were watery with zero salt or butter. We tried to doctor them up by adding lots of salt and butter but it was useless The eggs had no salt or pepper although they do a nice job of cooking over easy eggs which some places fail at. Homefries, which were really hasbrowns, were mushy and bland. The pancake was dry. The bacon and toast were good.

Farm-Fresh Flavor with a Side of Small-Town Charm - Breakfast at The Farmer's Daughter in Urbana,…read moreOhio If you ever find yourself cruising through Urbana, Ohio with a hunger that only a hearty, home-cooked breakfast can satisfy, do yourself a favor and stop at The Farmer's Daughter. It's the kind of place where the biscuits are fluffy, the coffee's always hot, and the welcome is as warm as the griddle. This morning, we popped in for breakfast, and from the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in good hands. That feeling was confirmed when Holly, our waitress, greeted us with a smile and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like a regular--even if it's your first visit. I went all-in with The Hog Log, and let me tell you, this is not your average breakfast burrito. It's a hearty wrap filled with sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, and cheese, all rolled in a soft flour tortilla and smothered in rich, homemade sausage gravy. Every bite had that perfect balance of smoky, creamy, and savory flavors--and the gravy? Next-level delicious. My wife ordered Uncle Dave's Favorite Breakfast, which comes with your choice of pancakes or French toast, eggs done your way, a breakfast meat, and toast. She chose pancakes, bacon (crispy but not burnt), whole wheat toast, and eggs over medium. The pancakes were fluffy and golden, the bacon had that perfect crisp, and the eggs were cooked just right--firm whites with warm, runny yolks. It was classic comfort on a plate. The décor is classic country diner meets local charm--think rustic wood accents, sweet signs on the wall, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to slow down and savor the morning. Whether you're a local or just passing through Champaign County, The Farmer's Daughter is worth the stop. The portions are generous, the food is fresh, and the service--especially from folks like Holly--makes the experience even better. So go ahead, order the Hog Log. Or Uncle Dave's. Or both. You'll thank me later. Sorry my camera wasn't working so no pictures Take the Trip, your Next Adventure is waiting. #TakeTheTripByBrian
