Ok view from the Left Field Upper Box area - rest of the experience unpleasant
    Mike B.

It is deeply saddening to write this review. I went to a game this season and recognized very little of the experience compared to, say, 10 years ago. The area around the stadium used to resemble the rest of the neighborhood. Now it's a modern strip mall aesthetic, like a soulless carnival of capitalism. The concessions were absolutely overrun on the night I went, even though the stadium was half full. The station closest to my seat ran out of food around the 4th inning. The next one down allowed order-ahead on the mobile app, yet the order ahead line was longer than the huge regular line. And the ice cream machine was broken, so folks who pre-ordered ice cream were waiting in line to be told there was no ice cream and to be sent to the other side of the stadium. Plus the bonus that I was wearing a mask as I walked through the crowd to get to my seat and I was loudly, aggressively heckled by a fan and the ushers did nothing. I used to love games at Wrigley but I can't really imagine going back. It was frustrating, expensive, and not especially fun.

Beautiful day to be a Cubs fan.

We got the chance to see the Cubs at Wrigley Field this past weekend, well I suppose the AAA version of the Cubs as they'd recently traded their main crew and brought up the young ones at the end of their season. It was still fun to see and we cheered like mad. My father brought me to Cubs games as a kid, in the 70's and 80's, and I was a massive Cubs supporter through my early teens with Jody Davis & Ron Cey posters on my wall, then I lost interest. But it was good to be back at Wrigley and I look forward to keeping up more with baseball next season. Go Cubs Go!

The Chicago Cubs on the 2016 World Series. It was their first championship since 1908.
    Daniel B.

In terms of total wins, history, and popularity, I think the Chicago Cubs are one of Major League Baseball's more successful and prominent teams. Sure, the Cubs have only won three World Series (1907, 1908, 2016), have one of the worst World Series winning percentages (3-8, .273), and suffered through the Curse of the Billy Goat (1945-2016), but they also currently own MLB's sixth-best regular season win percentage and rank third in regular season wins, all time. Before the Cubs' historic World Series win in 2016, the team had gone 108 consecutive years without a World Series title. To this day, it remains the longest World Series championship drought in MLB history. 2016's World Series Game 7 might have been the best baseball game ever. Thanks to the MLB, you can watch the entire game on YouTube. Here's the best part: https://youtu.be/9CaDeppJDnU?t=17701. The Cubs beat the Indians, 8-7, in 10 innings. The game, held at Progressive Field in Cleveland, went into a rain delay after the 9th inning with the game tied, 6-6. How the game got to 6-6 was wild, highlighted by the Cubs' David Ross hitting a homer at the top of the 6th and the Indians' Rajai Davis hitting a two-run homer in the 8th. At age 39, Ross became the oldest player to hit a home run in a World Series Game 7. Davis was the last player to hit a game-tying home run in a World Series Game 7. The Cubs were down 3-1 in the series and had to win three straight games (Games 5, 6, and 7), with two on the road, in order to win the championship. Cubs second baseman and outfielder Ben Zobrist was named World Series MVP. One of his most important plays was an RBI double to put the Cubs up 7-6 in the 10th. In 2016, he led the MLB in walks-per-strikeout at 1.17. Zobrist had just won the World Series the previous year as a member of the Kansas City Royals. According to Forbes, the Cubs are the fourth most valuable team in baseball after the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Boston Red Sox, in order. The Cubs are one of the pillars of MLB. Iconic stadium. Great, historic ball park. Lots of food options in the park and in the surrounding area. Baseball fans must see Wrigley Field.

Love the people, game, atmosphere, but just like the Dodgers the prices are insane on food and drinks. This is why I gave it a 4 star. 80 bucks for far far away seating?!? But besides the costs this is one of America's "MOST EPIC" ball fields! The architecture is insane! A marvel. One of the coolest fields by far! A must see. It's epic, and something you want to mark off your list. Trust me.

Me and family attended the Cubs vs. Diamondbacks on Sunday July 21. There was a issue with one of our seats and my husband asked one of the ushers if the seat beside of him was taken so he could just move over a seat. The usher reached out to someone in charge of public relations. A lady named Erika came and spoke with us and said she would find out about the seat next to us and went on to tell us about some must see items at the field. She returned with certificates for our entire family for our first time at the park. Erika went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and to be sure we had the best experience possible. Wonderful people at the Wrigley field. A great day! I highly recommend attending a cubs game!

Like Marty McFly said, I wish I could go back to the beginning of the season, put some money on the Cubs. Actually it was an old guy in 2015, but same thing. Of course, they missed it by a year or two but it was damn close. Congratulations to them for finally ending their drought and winning the whole thing but I have to say that I think there was a little bit of Foul Play involved because I think Cleveland deserved to win it and I'm not really sure how things got turned around but I'm a little bit suspicious about the whole thing to be honest.

11-04-2016. The festive throng is ready for the start of the parade along Addison St. at Wrigley Field.

On this 3rd anniversary (already!) of the Cubs 2016 World Series championship parade, I noticed this Yelp page had surprisingly only one photo from that grand day.  So, I've added a few.  I have to say as a native Chicagoan, that day was the happiest community day I ever experienced in Chicago or anywhere for that matter. I never saw so many upbeat, proud, happy, and giddy people in and around the city at one time.  I believe that 2016 team captured the hearts of Chicagoans like no other team before - not the 1969 Cubs (for which any celebrations were of course premature), not even the 1985 Bears (a close second I would say), and of course not the 2005 White Sox.  Let's face it, Chicago is just not a Sox town, and I only remember a normal happy celebration for that good team, and a frigid parade day (and I'm not a Sox hater btw).  I'm not a hockey fan so can't say too much about the Blackhawks, and I wasn't around for the Bulls' glory years.  The Cubs' celebration day was a special day with the parade occurring on a delightfully beautiful and sunny Friday and only about 36 hours after that wonderful last out, at about 12:10am local time as I recall.  A beautiful Friday celebration was also a good excuse for many to start the weekend early.  Like many others having school age children, my brother took his suburban grade school daughter out of school to see the parade.  His call to the school went like this: Brother:  My daughter is sick today and won't be attending class. Administrator:  Oh, ok, going to the parade, huh? Brother:  Oh, no, no, she's really sick. Administrator: Ok then, see you at the parade. His daughter later reported that maybe 10% of the students showed up for school, and what a sad sight that had to have been for those kids.  Oh well, situation can be forgiven every 108 years I suppose. I fortunately took the very efficient CTA (as opposed to the disastrous Metra for the return trip anyway) into downtown to see the parade.  It cracked me up that I saw so much brand new Cubs wear everywhere.  Thinking to myself, I proudly wore my 15 year old Cubs cap, whereas everyone else seemed to have on something with sparkling new Cubs blue that was bought just the night before.  Haha, what a deserved windfall for the Cubs and that was all fine and great. Well, if history is any guide, it will be about 20 years from 2016 when we will be serious contendas again.  So I don't think I will be needing to do a Yelp update on a championship parade anytime soon.

Specifically reviewing their Chicago dogs. Can't beat Portillos but comes surprisingly close, especially for stadium food. Dogs are a little small but taste great and big bonus that you get to put condiments on yourself!! Vibes at Wrigley field and surrounding bars are also great.

Oh Cubbies, the Curse of the Billy Goat is over, so I guess you get 5 stars! You play in a beautiful park, that for most of it's years did not see the night time stars! Day games at Wrig, called by Harry will always be on my mind. Cubs Win, Cubs Win, Cubs Win.... some of the time! You are good enough for Ferris on his day off. And you can watch the game across the street from the top of a loft! This is where Babe Ruth called his shot! And the Natural's Roy Hobbs hit the scoreboard, the sparks were so hot! I'm so glad you got your series win, it was such a fun fall. I'm actually a Twins fan but I live in Des Moines so I cheer on I-Cubs baseball. Thanks for the memories and the friendly confines! Keep throwing it back and keep blowing minds!

My third trip to Wrigley (my wife's second), to see our beloved Cub's go to town on the Reds. I have sat in three different places and there are NO bad seats in Wrigley and the best thing is it is home the coolest team in the MLB!

From the ivy-covered outfield walls to the hand-operated scoreboard, it feels like you're stepping into a different era of baseball. If you're someone who appreciates the roots of the game, this place delivers in a way newer stadiums just can't replicate. The seating is part of that uniqueness too. It's not your typical modern setup, and that's both a pro and a con. Some sections feel incredibly close to the action, almost like you're part of the game. But because of the stadium's age, there are support beams (poles) that can block your view if you're not careful with your seats. It's part of the old-school charm, but definitely something to be aware of when booking so you don't end up with an obstructed view. What really adds to the experience is everything around the stadium in Wrigleyville. The whole neighborhood feels like an extension of the ballpark--bars, restaurants, and crowds of fans all flowing together before and after the game. It's lively without feeling overwhelming, and it makes the whole outing more than just a game--it's an event. Overall, between the history, the unique character, and the atmosphere inside and outside the park, this is an easy 5 star experience and a must-visit if you're into baseball or iconic venues.
