My first time here and it was soo fun! I've never been to a major league game but this was a time! It was def windy so bring a jacket. Beautiful stadium. Be prepared to do a lot of walking!

    Great game, terrible meatball sub.

I caught an afternoon game on the tail end of a business trip. The parking was 30.00. It was well organized and about a five minute walk to the stadium. The box office and security and gate attendants were kind and helpful. I sat on the third base line in decent seats. The game was fun to watch. I was able to knock out another ball park and can cross Guarantee Rate Field off of my list of MLB ball parks. I had a meatball sub that I do not recommend. That is the reason for the loss of star. I have been to many MLB games and the food at most others has been so much better. It is a nice stadium. If you haven't been it is worth trying. Go Mariners!!

Suns out, hot dog buns out! It was a great day to finally try the 12 foot long hot dog from the Sox stadium! It was 12 ft of delicious ! Also pictured was our way of making nachos healthy (everything but the chips) at Bueno's Nachos they were super sweet of making me a rendition of a ballpark salad it was VERY YUMMY and super easy to eat! We also got the Cuban sandwich along with Ballpark Nachos!

The Chicago White Sox celebrating the 2005 World Series win.

The Chicago White Sox have won three World Series and are ranked in MLB's top 10 in all-time regular season win-loss record. While they aren't among the greatest franchises in baseball, they've still had a pretty good history. Only 10 teams have won more World Series championships than the White Sox. When Chicago's other MLB team, the older and more popular Cubs, won the World Series in 2016, they tied their crosstown rivals in number of World Series titles won (3). However, the Cubs (11 appearances) have appeared in six more World Series than the White Sox (5). The Sox and Cubs actually met in the third-ever World Series in 1906, a 4-2 series win by the Sox. The team won again in 1917 and their last win was in 2005. The 2005 White Sox team was, simply put, dominant. In the regular season, the team went wire to wire, first place and champions of the AL Central division. They had the best record in the American League and second-best record in MLB. In the playoffs, they went 3-0 over the defending World Series champion Red Sox, 4-1 over the Angels in the ALCS, and 4-0 over the Astros in the Fall Classic. Along with the 2005 White Sox, only the 1995 Braves and 1999 Yankees have won the World Series without losing more than one game in a Division Series, AL/NL Championship Series, and World Series combined. Ozzie Guillen was named AL Manager of the Year that year and right-fielder Jermaine Dye was named World Series MVP. Dye had just signed with the White Sox prior to the '05 season, so he paid immediate dividends. The following season (2006), he won an AL Silver Slugger Award for being one of the league's best offensive players. Pitcher Mark Buehrle was a key championship piece during that era as well. Unfortunately, the White Sox have only made it to the postseason three times since 2005 (three out of the last 16 years). The team only won one game in each of those appearances. On the bright side, things are trending up from the 2010s, a decade when the Sox had *zero* postseason appearances. They're coming off their second consecutive postseason appearance in 2021. First baseman Jose Abreu has been perhaps the team's most successful acquisition in the last 10 years. Abreu signed with the White Sox in October 2013 and has since gone on to win numerous individual awards including 2014 AL Rookie of the Year and 2020 AL MVP. He was the fourth different White Sox player to win the AL MVP award and the last Sox player to win it since Frank Thomas (1994). Now 35, the 2022 season is Abreu's last on his current contract: https://www.mlb.com/news/jose-abreu-focused-on-2022-entering-last-year-of-contract.

Came on the 4th of July and how fun it was! This was my first time going since becoming in a wheelchair and was a bit nervous. I was pleasantly surprised! The stadium was pretty accessible! There is only one accessible entrance so that takes a while and because of that we missed the giveaway (we were there way in advance). The seats were great in section 121. So much food! I went with some chicken fingers & fries and also some rainbow ice cream. The bathrooms were as clean as can be. With only one handicap stall of course there's always a wait. A crew member cleaned the stall before I entered.

This place is fun! Yes, the team is going through some rebuilding  pains, but if you enjoy baseball, it's a nice place to catch a game: easy access, plenty of parking and tickets are available; all at reasonable prices. The food is good & diverse, and the park has a festive feel from the moment you step out of your car. So, if you like baseball, give the White Sox a visit, it is a joyful place; and in years to come, when they make a run for the pennant, you could say you are a long time fan that saw them through the bad times.

We haven't been to a White Sox game in a very long time, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. I was impressed with all the different choices in food and drink at the ballpark. From cuban sandwiches to italian ice, there truly is someting for everyone. We started off in the revolution brewing #SoxSocial tap room with hand made barbacoa and chicken tacos and margaritas. The tap room has a nice balcony area where you can stay and watch the game if you want to instead of your seats. If you download the MLB app, you can get a free White Sox hat in the tap room too! We sat in section 151 which is down the 3rd base line. Our view was really good, but I didn't remember the seats being so uncomfortable and small. The best part of the evening? The White Sox won!

I personally think Sox's stadium food is much better than the cubs stadium. Is always a good time at the ball game.

But to get the replacement, I have to spend more money to ship the original one back, and now lose out on the Cyber Monday pricing because I have to essentially buy a new jersey at today's price, rather than just being able to exchange size-for-size. Inside these offices sit a man (or maybe a little ogre) named Sunil Gulati - a businessman with no soccer background. And, from his office - I like to picture it as a dungeon, though I'm sure it's a golden palace - he makes bad decision after bad decision on how to build soccer in the United States. Looking for a new coach? Why not hire another MLS/U.S. college retread instead of an internationally respected guy. Have one of the worst calls in the history of the World Cup made against you (when even the BBC says the United States shouldn't have had a goal waived off against Slovenia when their home team is fighting in the same group)? Filing a protest would take too much effort and paperwork. It's much easier just to sit back and hope to get a better referee next time. Pressure MLS to conform better to the international calendar. Why? Because it would help player development to have them available for games. Unnecessary! Get the United States team back into the Copa America? Why test it against the best national teams in South America? They might get intimidated, lose confidence. Yet, somehow, despite Enron/Goldman Sachs/BP level incompetence at the top, a rag-tag band of second-tier European players and MLS all-stars managed to get to the second round of the World Cup and won its group over England in the process. These players with unbreakable hearts came from behind twice and scored in the last couple of minutes of the final group game to do so. They stared elimination in the face twice and laughed! Laughed not out of hubris but out of hope. Maybe that flows from the top, but I doubt it. Anyhow, despite the U.S.S.F., I'm proud of my home country's soccer team. No need to look overseas for a team to support when the United States plays a no-diving (okay, not much, Jozy Altidore does go down a bit easy), offense-minded, soccer that matches the kind of soccer that people in the United States would like to see the whole world play. And the leadership hasn't been all bad. The U.S.S.F. is trying hard to bring the World Cup back to U.S. soil in 2018 or 2022. They finally opened a training center in 2003. And you can't argue with results like a second place in the Confederations Cup and consistent women's team success. Still, if we had a better governing body in the United States, soccer success on the men's side might have come to the United States a long time ago.

That said, I have some takeaways and lessons learned. First off, security was a breeze for both events. I got to the game at least an hour before kickoff and didn't have to slow my pace to basically walk through the magnetometers. I know, depending on when you arrive, depending on how the team is doing, who the opponent is, and how the weather is would all affect this, but I wouldn't expect terrible lines unless you plan poorly. I arrived to the concert while the opener was playing and similarly walked in with ease. (If you're the type to rush for merch, maybe you'll fight a crowd, but hey, they were selling merch outside of the venue as well as inside). I'm sure it's been said before, but get yourself a clear bag if you need to pack something in (sunscreen, a sweatshirt, hand sani). And just play it cool and positive! The one moment I got stopped was when a security staffer wanted to know where they could get a coat like the one my girlfriend was wearing (basement of Macy's, you can find steals and deals). Food and drink is going to be at a premium price for less than premium quality, but anytime you're in a stadium of any kind, you're experiencing something! The buzz, the excitement, that elevated existence comes with elevated prices. There are traditional counter service vendors, the walking vendors, and various self-service areas. Just know that whatever drink you buy, they will open it or make you open it immediately. If it's a bottle, you have to toss the cap out. (I'm sure this is to reduce the chance of something being thrown, and if something IS thrown, then the damage it causes is reduced to mostly wet people as opposed to potential head injuries). With seats on the field for the concert, this went one step further and bottled beverages had to be poured into open cups. Lesson learned however: BRING IN A SODA BOTTLE CAP OF YOUR OWN! That way you can fill up with water and not worry about spilling all over yourself. Facilities were as clean as expected, vendors were all friendly. The worst part of both experiences is a common knock on Soldier Field and a common knock on many concerts/sporting events: getting out. At least at a game, people may toss the towel and dip out early, but at a concert, everyone is going to hang on until it's clear no more music is coming. And then that mass of humanity has to shuffle out in a smooth and orderly fashion. As if. Getting out after the My Chem show, there was a shocking volume of bodies all moving in the same direction even outside of the stadium (I may have climbed a wall and hopped a railing to pass a bottleneck...), and even a mile out, there were still pockets of us ambling about. So maybe those parking passes might be worth it?

I have been to many games over the years... and have attended a game the last two years in a row now - both in the United Club. Drink prices here are through the roof (which is to be expected but still kinda annoying). I paid $36 for 2 cans of modelos. Most sections had no security so there were many people who kept seat hoping. It was mainly an issue for people who had front row seats since people would sneak into your spot if you left to use the restroom, to the bar, etc.. they'd move out of your spot once you returned but it's still annoying to have to repetitively do that if you need to leave for a short period of time. Overall it's not a bad arena.

There wasn't much direction on which line to stand in -- some lines were obvious, but there was also a long line off to the side with zero explanation. That mystery line? Turns out it's for bag check. My crossover bag was very, very, very slightly oversized (like... come on ), and I had to leave the main line, check my bag in a locker, get a code, then get back in the main line again. Of course, this also meant waiting again after the game to retrieve it. Super inconvenient. Inside, the arena is pretty standard, just smaller. I went to see the Chicago vs. Dallas WNBA game -- I had literally just landed in Chicago and was looking for something to do that night. I mainly went to see Angel Reese, but honestly, I wasn't super impressed. Arike Ogunbowale, though? That girl can HOOP. She definitely caught my eye. I'm from Texas, so I found myself cheering for both the Dallas Wings and Angel Reese... somehow that math still worked. Overall, decent arena experience, but clearer signage and a little grace with bag sizes would go a long way. I didn't eat any arena food because I planned to go to Portillo's after the game.
