As someone who has been to a lot of shows at MSG in New york, I was curious to see how my first show at Wintrust would compare! All in all I had a pleasant experience - we showed up pretty early to make sure we could snag good seats, which was definitely the move as people were having issues finding seats about halfway through the second opener. Sound quality was pretty good and the visuals they were able to bring in were awesome. Drinks were... stadium pricing. But we had already anticipated that and weren't planning on drinking much during the show anyways. Staff were hit or miss in terms of helpful/friendliness.. though I guess that's also somewhat to be expected. If you know how to optimize your experience, Wintrust is a solid venue.

Not my favorite arena, but I had a great time checking it out for the Chicago Sky game! This was my first Sky game, so I was super excited. I wasn't prepared (probably on me) for how strict security was going to be about the purse size requirements. Mine was just a hair (I'm talking BARELY) too big so after waiting in line to get in, I was sent to another line outside the building to wait to check my purse in one of their lockers. The plus side is that it's free, the downside is you have to wait outside and depending on how long the line is can take a little bit. 20 minutes later I was back in the stadium. It's nice! My group had a reserved space with great seats. Watching the team play was so much fun -- I wish more people were there to cheer them on! The stadium was probably only about 60% full. We had a buffet with nachos, hot dogs, popcorn, and more. The food was pretty average, with the build your own nacho bar being the star of the show for me. Getting ubers in and out of the arena was very easy. I would love to come back for another game!!

An incredible evening at Wintrust Arena watching #1 UConn Women's Basketball Team crush DePaul. The beauty of Court side Seating is being able to go to the "Courtside Club" pre-game to hear the Coach Jill Pizzotti speak. As a bonus retired DePaul Hall of Fame Coach Doug Bruno was there. Add the free food and soft drinks and it makes the $80 game ticket price a steal.

WNBA! Angel Reese- Chicago Skye vs Connecticut Sun . Great Game between the two teams. Seats comfortable. Entering the building speedy no hiccups. Clear bag policy in effect (fyi). Gym well lit. Plenty of tables for purchasing Chicago Skye gear. Food court plentiful. Overhead screens were turned on which is always a plus. Police and security plentiful. I will definitely return here for another game.

My first time coming to the Wintrust Arena. I heard Deon Cole was coming to The Chi. So, I drove to Wintrust to purchase tickets to avoid all the ridulous extra fee charges. We were able to pick some good seats that had a good view of the stage. There were monitors displayed at the top for better viewing. Spacious venue and every seat in the building had a clear straight view of the stage. Security was outside checking all bags. If your purse or bag measurement wasn't a certain size of this folded paper. You had to go take your bag back to the car. The lines moved fast and it was easy to find your seats. The only complaint was the small hard seats that were very uncomfortable. The venue was jammed pack and people were squeezing pass to take their seats. FYI. Get there early to find meter street parking. There were lots of street parking in the area. The concession stand lines were crazy. Glad we got there early to find parking and went to eat before the concert started. Prices for food and drinks at Wintrust are pricey. I look forward to my next concert. I will just bring something comfortable to sit on.

Wintrust Arena is where the home of WNBA team the Chicago Sky's. The Arena is located downtown Chicago in walking distance from Hilton Hotel which is where I stayed and was able to walk right out of the hotel and across the street to the Arena. The Arena looks fairly new and was nice and clean and not too big of an Arena the bathrooms were very clean. The are food and drinks concessions, I did not eat anything at the venue but the food did smell and look delicious.

Went to my first Chicago Sky game last weekend here and it was great! Easy in and even easy to get out with minimal congestion! Our seats were in the 200s but we had a great view! It's a smaller arena than the United Center so I don't believe there's a bad seat in the house. Minus one star for the pricey concessions and drinks ($48 for two cocktails!) and parking is $25 in their lot. We were fortunate to find street parking. The game was enjoyable. Can't wait for another one!

Scored big celebrating my Dad's birthday at the Chicago Sky game. It was my first Chicago Sky game and it was a great time. The lines move pretty fast for the security check. There was a bit of a line for the concessions, which given the timing was to be expected. I ordered a cheeseburger, fried and a beer.It was pretty good. I like that the arena has aluminum cans, very cute and kept my beer cold. Overall it was a great experience, I can't wait to return!

Went to a DePaul game. Very nice facility. I was surprised. Park at McCormick place lot A for covered parking and you never have to go outside. If it's sold out I could see it being crowded on the concourses.

With a parking garage less than a block away, this is a nice venue to attend an concert or event. The parking cost $25 and is well worth it, considering Chicago weather is less than desirable half the year. Different from any arena I've been to, I didn't pass a single concession on my way from the entrance to my seat. That seemed odd to me. I know there's food there. Their website indicates there is. But instead of being scattered throughout, they seem to be located only in a few sections. It's a great venue for a concert or event because it's large but not so big that you risk having terrible seats. At least not like you can easily have for concerts at Soldier Field or at United.

Came here to watch a concert for Jackson Wang, so I can only review from a concert perspective. The parking garage was attached to the arena, which saved us the trouble of finding a good spot, plus a long walk to the arena. We were charged $25 for a fee. It may change depending on the artist or event. Security was pretty thorough but efficient, so thumbs up for that. The arena was big enough for a concert but not too big that any seat you choose, you'll still have a good view of the artist. The way that they handled the merch line was really efficient. Of all the concerts that i have been to, they were the fastest to keep the people moving. I don't know if this is with the organizers or the venue itself.

I went to Wintrust for the first time last October for an Enhypen concert and it was a bit chaotic. Wintrust had stated that camping wasn't allowed, which is totally fine, however, different staff members were telling people different things which was a bit confusing. They stated that we would be able to line up at 9am for GA for VIP ticket holders, but there wasn't an organized and safe way for fans to line up. Instead, people were running and trampling over each other to receive their numbers, however, it ended up being a lottery system anyways so lining up was pointless. Once we received our numbers, we were allowed to leave and come back at 2pm to line up again for merch and to receive our soundcheck lanyards and then later again at 5pm for soundcheck. This was nice, but we were all just expected to get in a single file line by numerical order (which is a bit difficult when there's over 300+ VIP ticket holders and there were no directions/instructions). Though the concert was amazing and I had a great time, I just wished it was a bit more organized overall.

That said, I have some takeaways and lessons learned. First off, security was a breeze for both events. I got to the game at least an hour before kickoff and didn't have to slow my pace to basically walk through the magnetometers. I know, depending on when you arrive, depending on how the team is doing, who the opponent is, and how the weather is would all affect this, but I wouldn't expect terrible lines unless you plan poorly. I arrived to the concert while the opener was playing and similarly walked in with ease. (If you're the type to rush for merch, maybe you'll fight a crowd, but hey, they were selling merch outside of the venue as well as inside). I'm sure it's been said before, but get yourself a clear bag if you need to pack something in (sunscreen, a sweatshirt, hand sani). And just play it cool and positive! The one moment I got stopped was when a security staffer wanted to know where they could get a coat like the one my girlfriend was wearing (basement of Macy's, you can find steals and deals). Food and drink is going to be at a premium price for less than premium quality, but anytime you're in a stadium of any kind, you're experiencing something! The buzz, the excitement, that elevated existence comes with elevated prices. There are traditional counter service vendors, the walking vendors, and various self-service areas. Just know that whatever drink you buy, they will open it or make you open it immediately. If it's a bottle, you have to toss the cap out. (I'm sure this is to reduce the chance of something being thrown, and if something IS thrown, then the damage it causes is reduced to mostly wet people as opposed to potential head injuries). With seats on the field for the concert, this went one step further and bottled beverages had to be poured into open cups. Lesson learned however: BRING IN A SODA BOTTLE CAP OF YOUR OWN! That way you can fill up with water and not worry about spilling all over yourself. Facilities were as clean as expected, vendors were all friendly. The worst part of both experiences is a common knock on Soldier Field and a common knock on many concerts/sporting events: getting out. At least at a game, people may toss the towel and dip out early, but at a concert, everyone is going to hang on until it's clear no more music is coming. And then that mass of humanity has to shuffle out in a smooth and orderly fashion. As if. Getting out after the My Chem show, there was a shocking volume of bodies all moving in the same direction even outside of the stadium (I may have climbed a wall and hopped a railing to pass a bottleneck...), and even a mile out, there were still pockets of us ambling about. So maybe those parking passes might be worth it?

I have been to many games over the years... and have attended a game the last two years in a row now - both in the United Club. There were some things that were closed off, but generally our kids were able to interact with a lot of the museum. There was a fun space rover that you could actually sit in to steer and drive, which was hilarious. Other simulators allow you to actually control a robot rover as if you're in the station and exploring the terrain. They also have craft stations for a wide age range. It wasn't crazy crowded (which is great), it's small enough that you can see almost everything you want with just a morning trip, and make it back in time for naps or pick a secondary attraction without feeling rushed. Looking for a new coach? Why not hire another MLS/U.S. college retread instead of an internationally respected guy. Have one of the worst calls in the history of the World Cup made against you (when even the BBC says the United States shouldn't have had a goal waived off against Slovenia when their home team is fighting in the same group)? Filing a protest would take too much effort and paperwork. It's much easier just to sit back and hope to get a better referee next time. Pressure MLS to conform better to the international calendar. Why? Because it would help player development to have them available for games. Unnecessary! Get the United States team back into the Copa America? Why test it against the best national teams in South America? They might get intimidated, lose confidence. Yet, somehow, despite Enron/Goldman Sachs/BP level incompetence at the top, a rag-tag band of second-tier European players and MLS all-stars managed to get to the second round of the World Cup and won its group over England in the process. And the leadership hasn't been all bad. The U.S.S.F. is trying hard to bring the World Cup back to U.S. soil in 2018 or 2022. They finally opened a training center in 2003. And you can't argue with results like a second place in the Confederations Cup and consistent women's team success. Still, if we had a better governing body in the United States, soccer success on the men's side might have come to the United States a long time ago.
