We had a reservation for a party of 8 on a Saturday for a birthday. We were greeted and waters brought to the table right away. We did had the option for mimosas and/or bloody Mary's as part of the meal package. I enjoyed the fact thar for our large table they brought over pitchers. It was great to not have to keep waiting for a drink. We learned that you could pay $12 for a birthday package and we are happy we learned that. They gave our friend a birthday shout-out not only at our table, but on stage to! The foodnwas delicious and the show was great. If you have large bills, they will gladly break it for you. I had an AMAZING time at Lips today! We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday after she'd been asking for months to come here and now I understand why. The queens are so nice and amazing. They're great servers and even better performers. Super attentive and they give you enough time to get through your meal before the show starts. I got the cheeseburger and fries which I thought was really good. My party enjoyed their food for the most part. There is a 20% gratuity added to every bill, but it can be removed upon request. Also, they can split one bill with up to 4 cards. The venue is gorgeous inside and really sets the scene for an amazing show. It's very glamorous, and I loved it. I highly, highly recommend coming here for a good time! My favorite was the Wings by Little Mix performance It's a bit steep around $70 per person in my group (we did get shots, though, hehe) which doesn't include the singles for the performances but for brunch, bottomless mimosas, and a show? I say VERY worth it. They invite anyone there for a special occasion up on stage to celebrate with them and give them crowns and cupcakes. They will also invite additional people in the crowd up and at the end invites everyone up! They engage the crowd beautifully -- even the people at the bar! Super fun spot for drag branch. Our lovely drag star/waitress Sapphire was beautiful, charismatic, kind, and a delight. Everyone was friendly, helpful and timely. The show was funny vibrant and everything you would expect from a great drag brunch. Food was standard brunch cuisine. The drinks were great and the shots were delicious. If I had any critique, it would be we felt a little left out sitting in the back. We had a lot of tips,but only a few queens came by so we left with a lot of of the money we came with unfortunately. Everyone working had great energy & was super friendly. The salmon was cooked to perfection, I wish I could go back today & get some more! Same goes for the rice and asparagus. The caesar salad was so refreshing. I was told the wings & Alfredo also tasted amazing. It was nice to eat & watch the show at the same time & I think you're able to time it out the way you prefer! Food was pretty meh, all of it was pretty salty and the dessert was some mini cupcakes that were extra dry. All around fun time. One less star because the entree and dessert was just ok. The coconut shrimp was actually really good. Drinks were strong. The service and overall ambiance was wonderful. I felt that the show was just the right length of time. I liked that they had all the people come up who were celebrating a birthday party or bachelorette party. The emcee was hilarious. Fun brunch activity overall but some performers were significantly better than others, and a few just dialed it in... yet expected tips by their walk-around. Personal opinion, you have to be more than wigs, costumes and a ton of makeup to be a drag ... sing or perform well and be entertaining. Or I can just look at historical Halloween selfies. The performances and servers are top notch and the food is great. I had probably the best cheeseburger of my life here and it's just such a great time overall. Lips Chicago is must see Drag Show! They have shows from Wednesday-Sunday. I saw in my local paper (Reader) and social media they were offering a new show on Wednesday's Bitchy Bingo Drag Show. Doors open at 7pm. This show was amazing but please bring some singles! As soon as I walked into the building I was impressed by the attention to detail in decor throughout the venue. You are literally transformed into a Drag Show/Queen wonderland where sparkle and shine meets your gaze from the ceiling to your feet. They require a credit card on file for parties of 2 or more. You can make your reservations by phone. You can find street parking or catch the CTA. They have preset menu with vegan to steak options on the menu. If you are popping in for a show by yourself or don't have a reservation you can sit at the bar. Although there was plenty of seating for you to sit at a table. Let me say these queens work hard! Your server is also one of performers so please be patient with them!!!! I ordered the Altantic Salmon dinner that was delicious ! I cleaned my plate. The mango daiquiri was amazing. Go easy on the daiquiri's they have a kick. You meal comes with a preset cesar salad and dessert. They offer $5 shots they add to your bill so need to use your singles. I want to say there were 5-6 performers but I lost count thanks to the daiquiri. I would like to thank my Drag queen server for the drink recommendation . After the show there is a mini brake where all of the tables are cleared and the bingo cards are passed around. There were 3 rounds where winners won free shots for the table, dinner for two, and Gospel brunch tickets for two. Fyi, they add 20% gratuity on to every bill at the end even for one person. Also, there is a atm upstarts near the restroom. You can exchange your bills for singles at the bar. I wished they offered photo options or allot time for photos as some of the performers/servers were moving so fast I couldn't not even stop my favorite ones for a picture. I was able to get one performers but as soon as I turned around to tip her she was gone! Thanks Lips, and Betty Davis for an awesome show! I will definitely be back with friends. We were greeted at the door and after they located our reservation we were seated at our table up front. Victoria was the loveliest hostess. She made sure we understood how to pull up menu, kept our drinks full and coming from bar as requested. We had a great time in our party of 8. Nice ladies night to take a break from our men. So, I had no idea what Lips even was before Valentine's Day. I went for one of their Valentine's dinner performances with my partner, and his two friends. The food was fine, like, what they gave us was a caesar salad, a choice of entre, and finally a dessert, which in this case was a tiny lil cupcake. This was all included within a price of $40 + another $20 for drink and gratuity. The show was not all that. To be honest, I've seen better shows for FREE in Boystown and I don't even like Boystown like that. With the exception of the queen who ended the show, the rest were low energy, lazy, and only performed half of their songs before walking around collecting dollar bills. It was weird. I ordered the signature drink and I'm pretty sure one sip got me drunk. They are STRONG, and all I could taste was gasoline. The salad and the cupcake were whatever, but the pasta was good. Probably wouldn't recommend this to my friends, but like it's fine for what it is. Definitely, an overpriced experience and I can only imagine it's because of having to pay the talent (who obviously are not being paid enough) and to keep the location, I'm sure rent overhead ain't cheap. read more

I had the shrimp and grits, my brother and mother in law had the chicken and waffles and my partner had steak and eggs and everything was sooooo good with amazing flavors. Oh the plus is is unlimited mimosas, champagne and bloody Mary's. Price was $37 per person but honestly it was so worth it! Like I said I could literally come here every day. The service was fantastic!! They constantly check in with us! Provided pitchers of mimosas on the table and they ensured we had an amazing time. They danced and entertained everyone! They made sure to show love to everyone. What a great place!!! The inside of this amazing place is stunning!! Glitter and colors everywhere. It honestly looks so magical inside ahaha the vibe was just out of this world great. So clean and well put together. They have valet parking for $25 so no worries about that. Total cost for a great time was In total from food and drink ( 4 people) add on, tips, dance tips, and parking was $450. The pita chips were good but the dip itself was mediocre at best. Way too salty but not creamy or hot like it should be. Was missing cheese and garlic. The Caesar salads were great. Very fresh and delicious. I had the cheeseburger, which was cooked perfectly but needed a special sauce. The fries were crispy, but flavorless even though there was some green stuff sprinkled on. Salt and pepper helped, but they were nothing great. Menu said shoestring fries. That is not what we got. A friend got the bolognese and said it was great! I came here with my partner on Saturday for drag brunch. It's our first time, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Reservations are required. They take reservations on OpenTable which was really convenient. We made a reservation for 12:30 right when the show starts. I also love how the queens are the servers. After our food orders are placed, and we have our food, the show then starts. All of the queens serving us ended up performing on stage. I also love how the mimosas were in a pitcher at the table, and they came by to fill it throughout brunch. We were there for like 2 hours, and it felt truly unlimited. It's $36.95 per person, includes all you can drink unlimited champagne, mimosas or Bloody Mary's and an entree of your choice. Some entrees were an additional upcharge, for example my partner ordered shrimp + grits which is an extra $3, and I did the steak + eggs for an extra $6. They have an ATM upstairs if you want to take out cash to tip the performance. They also have someone walking around to give you change if you need singles. The MC was hilarious, and it was a fun time. This is definitely a place we'd return to, and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking for drag brunch. read more

This was a well produced dinner & drag show for Friday night. My only complaint was I wish the show was longer. All the girls were talented & entertaining. Some also were the servers too which was fun. We loved Cali Mari. The energy was great and despite COVID restrictions they were giving it everything! Always make sure to tip the girls (there's an ATM upstairs but charged $3 for a transaction). We had a few different entrees but the Parmesan encrusted chicken was the best! The Cesar salad was fine & the dessert were yummy. You're coming here for the show not the food! Lots of drink options to choose from. Bathrooms are not gender neutral. LGBTQ friendly. There are some accessible tables. You can only call to make a reservation. It's a little odd and they have a lot of hours where you go to voicemail. Someone will eventually call you back but I'd recommend booking 2+ weeks in advance. There are parking options on the street. A great option for a show in the South Loop! read more

This was the BEST way to do a Sunday funday for a birthday. I recommend getting there right at the seating time, as opentable has seats at any time but doesn't tell you there are set show times. It's also important to let the waitresses know about celebrations (but be warned they will charge you $12 extra without telling you...) The show was so fun, and the drinks were flowing. The waitresses are performers and so funny and sassy too. The brunch menu is slightly confusing because they say champagne is an option along with bloody mary's and mimosas, but I was told the champagne is in the mimosa and can't be given separately. I ordered the frittata of the day which was sausage and goat cheese and came with a nice little salad. They also gave us blueberry muffins at the start. So I was very excited about this place, reserved a table for two for my fiancée's birthday. So it seems like the show girls are the waitresses, bartender and of course the show performers. It seems like they all share the the tips from the dinner plus the cash from their performances. Unfortunately we didn't receive good service from the waitress we got. First question she asked was Are you celebrating something today? I replied yes!! My fiancée birthday.. no response from her.. other Bd ladies got a crown and got to go up to stage to get a picture and was fun... my fiancée never got the crown, therefore she didn't get the picture or went up to the stage.. . I remember ordering a drink, she simply forgot.. so it seems like she was not all there.. The rigatoni a la vodka was very salty!! We didn't say anything, the couple next to us did resend their food back to remake. At the end they add 20% tip automatically which is fine with me the problem is that I felt a bit discriminated(we were the only Hispanic s there) or she simply didn't care much since she already was going to get 20%tip. 210 for two people included tips for an hour of show with not simple good food( pasta with marinara and a burger). The drag and queens were amazing!! All the performers were fabulous and the space itself is beautiful. The service .. not so much. I was there to celebrate my birthday so was really excited to check this place out. Throughout the night, my drink order was forgotten three times (and I know the wait staff here is insanely busy - but our whole table would get their drinks except for me, multiple times) and the food was very mediocre IMO. Our plates also never got cleared after they were served, so everyone sat with their leftover food on the tables for the whole show. Lastly, a friend of mine is pregnant and another doesn't drink - they each asked for a mocktail, but despite having a full cocktail menu and bar, Lips didn't have any options other than Coke products or "a mix of all of the juices" which seemed odd to me. So.. just some heads up! This all didn't ruin my experience per se - we were there for drag first, and food and drink second - but I do think service at the least could be greatly improved. Also, it's 2025! Mocktails are on the rise! I'd suggest adding them as an option on the cocktail menu. read more

Super fun time, the talent was amazing. I was surprised at how good the food was too. I kept it simple with a burger but it was a damn good burger. Everyone at my table didn't have one complaint about their meals. Drinks are yummy and strong. My only complaint is how you can go with a large party and they make the bill so difficult. So after a fun night you are sitting there trying to figure out who owes what. I understand it would be more work for the servers to print separate bills but maybe being allowed to break it up into 4 or 5 people so it's less confusing read more

My Best Friend decided that she wanted to come here for her birthday. i made the reservation which can be a difficult process because they are only open at a certain time and they only take reservation on certain days. We did the dinner and show package. We had the Angel LeBare which is the Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and the Vivan Dejour which is Lobster Ravioli for our entree. My best friend and i both had the Angel LeBare and both thought it was okay but noticed that it had nutmeg in it and that made it a little odd. Her cousin had the Vivan Dejour and thought it was really good. The show was amazing especially since it was my first drag show and it won't be my last.
