Stopped by Bar22 recently for a quick cocktail post a drag brunch nearby. It's a small, neighborhood type bar with sports on the TVs, basic bar food, beer, and cocktails. I ordered an old fashioned which was competently rendered. My husband ordered a Manhattan and didn't specify he wanted it served up and it came on ice. In my experience, this is a Midwestern thing but just a note if you prefer your Manhattan up, you may want to let them know We also ordered and shared their seasoned fries, which were heavily seasoned and delish! Visited from Cali & reserved an Easter Sunday brunch here with bottomless mimosas, heard from a couple locals that this place was 'poppn'.. they must've been referring to the music, DJ was doing his thang in the 1s & 2s.. but the place was close to empty. Do not come here for the over priced brunch it's not worth it! I came here with my cousin for her birthday we had a party of 8! After waiting outside for 10 min for nothing when we had a reserved party to get in and it's barely people inside. We got in and the waiter poured our mimosas. They were under staffed and it's not a buffet! You have to get your food made to order. We waited a nice minute for our food! Then our table did not get our food at the same time! I finally got my food which was an omelette smothered potatoes and cat fish nuggets. First the omelette had hair cooked into the egg! The potatoes were really fried which was also very disappointing! The cat fish was the only good thing I ate! It took them a long time to bring us more mimosas when they could have gave us the jug to pour ourselves because it's unlimited and we had to wait just for another cup! Went on a Saturday around 8pm not too busy, didn't have to pay to get in!, drinks weren't that pricey my total was $25 I got a Long Island, shot of tequila and 6 piece mozzarella stick. The mozzarella sticks were good & fresh. Around 9pm it did start to get a little crowded idk if it was an event today but the scene was mostly older people like 30+ and they didn't have a dj. I don't even know where to begin . This place is so unorganized ,short staff so of course the staff thats there is over work and overwhelmed with attitudes. so it was supposed to be unlimited mimosas and food . The food was terrible and to pay $66 dollar you got crap. The food was not hot when you got it . one of my guest got food with hair in it . Mind you the owner didn't say sorry just took the plate and went to the back and never came back . unlimited food and mimosas ..yeah ok a freaky lie. Another guest from my party finally got a chance to speak with the owner and he gave a round of shots which I wasn't happy about ! they turn some of my people around because the had a certain sandals on .. Also one of my guest had a cap on and the security guy mad her walk back and put it in the car or she couldn't come in . Again mind you the guest that had on the sandles just lost out on $66 dollars it was a no refund . Then as time went by I see the security guard letting people in with caps and sandals talking about someone over ride and said they can come in because the was with the DJ . So my guest lost out on $66 dollar but you show favoritism. unprofessional i thought all rules stick . I spend over $1000 and got treated like Shìt . I chose to celebrate my birthday at this establishment, which was a horrible idea. I decided to pay for a table and purchase a bottle.BAD DECISION! When I arrived at the venue and checked in I was instructed to find a guy with "the black shirt" regarding my table. To make a long story shorter when we finally got his attention he was rude. Pretty much walked up to me as if I was bothering him so much so I had to redirect him by restarting the convo with "hello, how are you". Following this and paying I was instructed to wait at the bar to be walked to the table, however there was no crowd so I am not sure about why we weren't walked directly back. Mind you there was also another gentleman waiting to be seated at the empty tables. About another 15-20 mins we were walked to the table.. The back VIP area is shared with those getting brunch (ridiculous) not to mention having to join the line for the brunch. Again paying $200 should warrant me some convenience like actually having a private area and even our own brunch area but I guess not. Now I am in the line for the food and they immediately run out of food. I am sure the small pans of food put out vs the large crowd causes this. I had to wait about 10-15 mins for another SMALL pan of chicken was put out causing my food to get cold AND I was not the only one waiting! Now me and my cold food, other than the chicken, get back to the table and guess what.. NO BOTTLES WERE THERE. My friend again sought out the RUDE manager about the bottles and got a rude response. She returns and another almost 20 mins go by before the bottles come. Side note: The bottle server and supposed "manager" get into a slight verbal exchange right by us .. Now lets get to the other issue. I had guests come and ALL three of them were upset by the way they were handled at the door.. THEN I also had to come to the front to get them despite my name being on the list. I was told that this was for my protection so no one could take my wrist bands.. wait what??... So I not only have to pay $200 for a bottle/table with bad service I ALSO have to keep coming from the BACK to FRONT to get my guest..You gotta be kidding!!! ALSO my friend had a cupcake for me and was told that she needed to pay $25 to bring it!!!Not to mention being charged $4 a can for ginger beer despite paying lots of money already!! The DJ and crowd were good but my overall experience was no where worth the money ($200!!!) I spent. Just a quick recap of the night: my friends and I arrived around 11:30pm. We spent around $300 before going outside. No major issues with the bar (aside from it being slow) and entrance. My actual issue came when my group of friends stepped outside. Upon trying to re-enter we were told entry/re-entry was done for the night. It was only 2am. Nope NEVER AGAIN .. went to bar 22 on Sunday September 5th small party of 12 for the bears versus Packers game we had bottle service two bottles of champagne a bottle of ciroc and a bottle of 1738 in addition to that many of the guests brought their own drinks that did not drink what we had ordered for the bottle service ( Long island iced teas Gin beer etc ).... The wait staff was extremely accommodating and attentive The chicken wings first order were great including the shrimp we ordered additional chicken wings and it appears as though the chef poured a whole container of salt on the chicken wings which we had to return Attempted to order more shrimp and we were notified that they were out This is where it gets good since I could not eat the salted chicken wings I asked my guy to go outside and get my $0.59 bag of popcorn out of the car so I can snack on that He was quickly stopped at the door by the owner and the owner stated "" I can have my liquor license revoked if you brought in this popcorn and 12 oz unopened bottle of smartwater"""" Really he must didn't know we have been in the lounge / bar industry for the last 25 years.... I came here for the Sunday brunch. Honestly this wasn't a bad spot at all. Just a few things that need to be corrected. Pricing when ordering tickets off of Eventbrite is terrible. They do a horrible job at explaining what you are paying for and what you'll be receiving. The seating is limited so large parties are not recommended. I would keep it to 4-5 unless you pay for back booth or the large table in the front. The most disgusting thing about this place is the price of their bottles. On their own menu they were selling a bottle for $200 dollars. Come to find out, they had the nerve to try and sell us that same bottle for $250. When confronted about the issue, the manager tried to play it off and sell the bottle to my group for $200. Besides the bad online marketing, and ridiculous price gouging. This place isn't bad. Big TV's to watch sports, music was on point, and the food is was on par with other spots. read more

I have only been to this place in the early evening when it was not very crowded, and I have no idea what it is like later at night. The food is delicious and at a reasonable price. Came here on a Saturday night (9/10) with my boyfriend just looking to have a good time. We are both new to the area so we are still looking for good spots for Black night life. We were excited about this place and planned to spend money only to be turned away at the door by the bouncer when we arrived because we are not over 25 years old. We are both 22 and obviously of age. Although we are new to the area it really doesn't sound right that a night club would be 25+ and after looking all over your social media pages and reviews I have not seen a single place where it says the club is 25+. I have seen people who are clearly under 25 on your social media inside of the club. When we showed up they were playing FNF by glorilla... at a 25+ club? If this is the case, yall need to make it clear on your socials and websites. If not, yall need a new bouncer that isnt stuck on a hating ass power trip. read more

Don't even waste your time coming to this subpar, bootleg brunch day party. Yes, the price is right but you get what you pay for. They fail to tell you that bottom less mimosas and brunch end at 4 PM, however, we arrived 10 minutes before 4 PM and they still charged us full price. We attempted to order mimosas and enjoy the buffet when we were told by their bartender/"manager" that she had to check if mimosas were still available (mind you it is still before 4pm & the other bartender was still pouring mimosas for others guests). This bartender took a total of 12 minutes before she got back to us (not before she came back to the bar & held a 8 minute convo with a gentleman at the bar). Of course it was after 4 PM at this time & she told us we couldn't have the mimosas we paid for because it was after 4 PM, but we asked for them before 4 PM. The little bit of food that was left (because brunch ends at 4 PM) was mediocre & customer service was severely lacking. There was barely anyone in the place & now I understand why. They need to retrain or get rid of their employees who are causing them to lose business. The DJ was great though! read more

Nice mature crowd, but unfortunately the DJ was playing trap and ratchet music which was very annoying for this crowd. Old school and house music would suffice. He was in his own world. My cousin was there last night for her 50th Birthday and was highly disappointed with the food and customer service. The owner forfeit on their agreement. Her contract started that she would receive two pans of chicken and one pan of fish; along with food service(waiters/ waitress).There was only one pan of chicken provided and along with a pan of salad; no waiter/waitress for servicing food.She was told that her allotted time frame was 9pm-3am but was told at approximately 1:30am that they were closing 2:00am. She was very disappointed with the service that spend an excessive amount of money on. The only thing that went while here was the atmosphere.
