    Great scoreboard.

LET'S GO HAWKS! LET'S GO HAWKS! From the moment we arrived we were caught up in the FANdemonium, as the spirit of the United Center catches you quickly. The food and drink lines were all pretty reasonable, considering we arrived minutes before puck drop. The scoreboard is amazing and except for the extremely drunk guy behind us who fell on the lady next to me and spilled beer on us, it was the typical great Blackhawks game experience I've come to know. I often try to find first row of a section, center ice, to get a good view. The hot dogs here always taste so good but we've eaten in the club before a game too. Great food, just very pricey, of course. Now if we can just figure out a way to eliminate the long lines for the ladies restroom...Please, if anyone has a tip for the section at the United Center with the shortest lines for the ladies, please share!

What do you say here...hi..I'm so and so..I'm a Blackhawks fan. Yeah..no shit. Not only am I a fan but I'm raising one as well. And it was important to me to get him here while the nucleus of future HOFers and 3-time Stanley Cup Champions were still on ice. He got to see Kane, Toews, Keith and Crawford..four staples..the core of both. Great game, we got to see them beat Anaheim 6-3 on a flurry of second-period goals. Our seats were nosebleed but that's what I chose to pay for. Demand is still high to see the Hawks, even when they're in last place. A Hawks game is a good time no matter when you go see them. The pregame cheering during the Nation Anthem is a bucket list item for any sports enthusiast, and this is as iconic of a hockey club as any in the league. With the best sweater and logo in all professional sports I might add. Cheers...go HAWKS!

Congratulations to the NHL Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks! It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? When we moved to Chicago in '92 it looked like the Hawks back then-- JR, Eddie, Chelie with Mike Keenan were oh so close. But these guys are the real deal, but a thank you to those past great Hawks! So here's lifting a glass to those sipping from the chalice of Lord Stanley! Jonathan Toews, Captain Byran Bickell Dave Bolland Brandon Bollig Daniel Carcillo Michael Frolik Michal Handzus Niklas Hjalmarsson Marian Hossa Patrick Kane Duncan Keith Marcus Kruger Nick Leddy Jamal Mayers Johnny Oduya Michal Rozsival Brandon Saad Brent Seabrook Patrick Sharp Andrew Shaw Ben Smith Viktor Stalberg Ryan Stanton Corey Crawford Ray Emery Henrik Karlsson And thank you to their Coaches: Joel Quenneville, Head Coach, Mike Kitchen and Jamie Kompon Assistants, Stephane Waite Goaltending Coach, Paul Goodman Strength & Conditioning and Tim Campbell Video Coach. And, special thank you to Rocky Wirtz and Stan Bowman for putting the team together! As the Blackhawks said in their Boston Globe newspaper advertisement, the Bruins ''demonstrated respect, good sportsmanship and a genuine love for the great game of hockey.'' While the City of Boston also showed it's ''big heart and gracious spirit.'' Nice!

I love going to the Blackhawks games they're always so exciting the venue is always very nice period. The food is always pretty decent but a little on the expensive side. The staff is super awesome. You couldn't ask for a better experience. Go Blackhawks

I am so proud to be a Chicagoan and to be able to say that the Chicago Blackhawks are my hometown hockey team! I hate to admit that I just became a fan last year. The 24 game streak solidified my love for the Hawks, and this Stanley Cup win basically made me a fan for life. This season is the first that I really got into hockey. I attended my first game this year (they lost at that game) and I can't wait to attend more. No fans are more passionate than Chicago fans!

Just a great organization. The team contends each season. Such a pleaure to have a class operation to support in the Winter months in Chicago. Great arena. Fan friendly to the max.

Belated Congratulations to the 2015 Stanley Cup Champions! During a recent trip to Chicago, we passed by the United Center. Saw many of the Chicago Blackhawks statues. Very Cool indeed. Personally, I am not a fan. Still, I gave them 4 stars because they are a hockey team to be respected. 3 Championships in 6 years is very impressive. Been 22 years since my team won.

I still love the Blackhawks - even though tickets are outrageously expensive and they aren't at their prime as they used to be back in the day. I've gone to a couple games this season and gotta love their goalie - Havi - fantastic!! However, my only complaint are the prices - we paid $65 each for center court, level 300 where we were in the second to last row from the top.

I went to the LA King vs Blackhawks on New Years Day 2008 and I haven't been to a NHL game since the lockouts. I came to this review to add some photos I took and read the reviews. WOW!!! Those owners seem to be a$$hole$. Too Bad!

    Blackhawks win!

The other night I brought my son to just his second Bulls game. We were here a few years ago, which is an eternity in terms of the talent on the court. Gone are the days of miserable Pax/Gar teams (thank God) and replaced by awesome stars like Demar Derozan and Zach LaVine. Aside from the new found talent, I have to say that the entertainment factor here was amazing. As in, leaps and bounds better than any other sporting event we go to (and we go see a lot of games in different sports). The pregame intro is classic, the tv and called timeout skits were terrific and hysterical, and the halftime show was a collaboration of gymnasts and performers that put on one hell of a show. Honestly, I felt like I got my money's worth on non-game entertainment alone (despite not catching a parachuting t-shirt from the rafters)..lol. In addition to the game, I highly recommend getting here early to take in everything the building has to offer. The arena is stocked with Bulls and Hawks championship pennants hanging from the banners. One of their concourses is now home to the once outdoor MJ bronze statue, and we also found the case with Bulls 90's championship trophies. Those brought back fond memories. An exciting team that wins adds a lot of value, I'm not going to lie. But the non-game entertainment factor is phenomenal. Even if you aren't an NBA or Bulls fan, I'd still highly recommend stopping in sometime. GO BULLS!

From the ivy-covered outfield walls to the hand-operated scoreboard, it feels like you're stepping into a different era of baseball. If you're someone who appreciates the roots of the game, this place delivers in a way newer stadiums just can't replicate. The seating is part of that uniqueness too. It's not your typical modern setup, and that's both a pro and a con. Some sections feel incredibly close to the action, almost like you're part of the game. But because of the stadium's age, there are support beams (poles) that can block your view if you're not careful with your seats. It's part of the old-school charm, but definitely something to be aware of when booking so you don't end up with an obstructed view. What really adds to the experience is everything around the stadium in Wrigleyville. The whole neighborhood feels like an extension of the ballpark--bars, restaurants, and crowds of fans all flowing together before and after the game. It's lively without feeling overwhelming, and it makes the whole outing more than just a game--it's an event. The Fire went on to have success in the early to mid 2000s, winning the Supporters' Shield in 2003 (best regular season record) and three more US Open Cups in 2000, 2003, and 2006. They also returned to the MLS Cup Finals in 2000 and 2003. After 2006, Chicago would advance to the MLS Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals three years in a row from 2007 to 2009. However, since '09, the team has been mostly absent from the MLS postseason. When they've qualified for the playoffs, they've been swiftly eliminated in the East Knockout Round (2012, 2017). On the bright side, Chicago is top 10 in the league in total points, all time. So, I guess you could say in totality, the Fire have done OK from 1998 to date. Roughly half the active teams in the league do not have an MLS Cup championship. Aside from Chicago, only two other MLS teams have accomplished a Double in the US, winning both the MLS Cup and US Open Cup in the same season. Those teams are two of MLS' best, DC United and the LA Galaxy. Elite company. Speaking of the Galaxy, their 1996 MLS College Draft pick, Ante Razov, would go on to have a stellar career in Chicago. Razov, who played collegiately at UCLA, was selected with the 27th overall pick (3rd round). Razov was a member of the Fire's Cup-winning teams in the late 90s and early 2000s. Today, he remains the Fire's all-time leading scorer and was inducted into the franchise's "Ring of Fire" in 2015. The Ring of Fire is essentially the club's hall of fame. Another notable player for the Fire during the same time period is Razov's fellow Ring of Fire inductee, Piotr Nowak. While Razov had the goals, Nowak was the team MVP for three out of the team's first four seasons. Nowak was Chicago's team captain and leader. He's widely regarded as the best player in Fire history and set a standard which the franchise has struggled to uphold. Hopefully, the club will get back there sooner rather than later.

Could have been so much better. The Chicago Fire who are surely going to be changing their team name at some point is a team that has been around for a long time and vomit... I mean one which... Both of them went on to have a long and illustrious careers - especially Bradley - but the team remains, and it had such big names as Blanco, Ante Razov at the peak of his powers, and so on since then. They've underachieved but I'm still a fan and hoping that they will become one of the dominant teams like they should be sooner or later. I won't give them the extra star until they get their sh*t together. We were sad to see that the Fire has moved out of SeatGeek Stadium which is a pretty nice Stadium out in the suburbs of Chicago, but I have the same problem as everyone else which is that it isn't in the center of Chicago and which is that people can't get to it very easily from all the many far-flung parts of Chicago. Especially from all the bougie suburbs. They would obviously need to put the stadium in a more fancy area or close to downtown where the other stadiums are. Northside perhaps. If they can do that then they can probably start getting their attendances back up again. Now this stadium will be very lonely without its main occupant of 12 years.

That said, I have some takeaways and lessons learned. First off, security was a breeze for both events. I got to the game at least an hour before kickoff and didn't have to slow my pace to basically walk through the magnetometers. I know, depending on when you arrive, depending on how the team is doing, who the opponent is, and how the weather is would all affect this, but I wouldn't expect terrible lines unless you plan poorly. I arrived to the concert while the opener was playing and similarly walked in with ease. (If you're the type to rush for merch, maybe you'll fight a crowd, but hey, they were selling merch outside of the venue as well as inside). I'm sure it's been said before, but get yourself a clear bag if you need to pack something in (sunscreen, a sweatshirt, hand sani). And just play it cool and positive! The one moment I got stopped was when a security staffer wanted to know where they could get a coat like the one my girlfriend was wearing (basement of Macy's, you can find steals and deals). Food and drink is going to be at a premium price for less than premium quality, but anytime you're in a stadium of any kind, you're experiencing something! The buzz, the excitement, that elevated existence comes with elevated prices. There are traditional counter service vendors, the walking vendors, and various self-service areas. Just know that whatever drink you buy, they will open it or make you open it immediately. If it's a bottle, you have to toss the cap out. (I'm sure this is to reduce the chance of something being thrown, and if something IS thrown, then the damage it causes is reduced to mostly wet people as opposed to potential head injuries). With seats on the field for the concert, this went one step further and bottled beverages had to be poured into open cups. Lesson learned however: BRING IN A SODA BOTTLE CAP OF YOUR OWN! That way you can fill up with water and not worry about spilling all over yourself. Facilities were as clean as expected, vendors were all friendly. The worst part of both experiences is a common knock on Soldier Field and a common knock on many concerts/sporting events: getting out. At least at a game, people may toss the towel and dip out early, but at a concert, everyone is going to hang on until it's clear no more music is coming. And then that mass of humanity has to shuffle out in a smooth and orderly fashion. As if. Getting out after the My Chem show, there was a shocking volume of bodies all moving in the same direction even outside of the stadium (I may have climbed a wall and hopped a railing to pass a bottleneck...), and even a mile out, there were still pockets of us ambling about. So maybe those parking passes might be worth it?
