If you're a baseball fan, Wrigley Field is a bucket list destination. I'm from the Milwaukee, WI area and have been making annual trips to Wrigley for 10+ years because nothing beats the atmosphere of having a stadium in the middle of neighborhood instead of a boring parking lot. A few of those trips have included sitting on top of the rooftops outside Wrigley and watching a game from that point of view. Before the renovations at Wrigley that added new scoreboards and signage, most of the rooftops had a decent view of the game. You were never going to get to see the result of most plays deep in the outfield that were hit in your direction, but the infield and shallow outfield was still plenty viewable. Unfortunately, only a couple rooftops still have views worth paying for with 3639 N Sheffield being the least obstructed. Last time I sat in the rooftops that's the one I chose and I don't think I would ever make a different selection, even with 3639 N Sheffield being among the most expensive options Wrigley Rooftops offers. There's a large gap between the scoreboard in right field and the left field warning track so most of the outfield is as visible as possible. The food is ok. It's all you can eat, which for the price of the seats it should be. Burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, nachos, popcorn, ice cream, cookies, etc. Pretty standard food that you'd find at a tailgate. The club level has a fair number of TVs if you wish to sit in there and enjoy air conditioning in the summer, but it's below the level in which you can see the game out the windows, so you're just looking at the outside of the outfield wall if you're not watching the TVs. I didn't think the sound from the speakers up top was the greatest, but at least you can see what's happening and determine what you can't see by the crowd reaction inside the stadium. There is no cover up top, so if you're there for a day game, bring sunscreen or you massively risk getting sunburned. The rooftops are an experience that everyone coming to Wrigley should enjoy at least once in their lives. If you're able to catch games on back to back days doing one inside the stadium and one on the rooftops, even better so you have the different vantage points for comparison. Again, though there are cheaper options, 3639 N Sheffield is the way to go for the rooftops.

A nice idea in theory but wow what a poor execution (at least on the night that we were there). We were at 3617 N Sheffield for a work event and it was absolute chaos. There were three levels and bizarrely only food on one of the levels, so a giant queue ended up forming that never died down for the entirety of the game. The toilets are also super limited in number. The food was actually decent for what it was, once you were able to get your hands on some. Not sure why they didn't adopt for a self serve model for the hot food like they did for the ice cream bars. Most of my time at the event was spent in a line for food or the bar or a bathroom. Some additional staff would have gone a long way. Lastly the view was also kinda shit - I don't care about baseball and I wasn't interested in watching the game, but if I had been I'd be pretty annoyed about the lack of visibility even from the top. Overall if you want a decent bratwurst there are better ways of going about it.

Attended a birthday party and had a great time. It was a perfect location to catch some of the game, but also to talk with friends. Security was very strict and were unable to bring in wrapped gifts, which was a bit of an inconvenience. The food was ok, not great, but you had a choice of nachos, brats, burgers, beef and chicken. The bar had a variety of beers and some seltzers. The bartenders were very nice! We had a good view of the game, but it is not the same experience as being in the stadium, but a good option to enjoy the game and talk with friends.

Very impressed with both the view AND the service. While the food is abundant and buffet-style, the quality is what you would expect from a baseball-centric entertainment space! Hot dogs, burgers, Italian beef... The woman serving us from behind the hot food bar was incredibly kind and helpful. She doubled checked everything when we mentioned a food allergy as well. Big thanks to her! Overall, I would come here again. It's a great place to bring your friends, family and even coworkers after a long weekday. Try to catch the sunset while you're at it! - AT

Beautiful afternoon today. This rooftop is on Sheffield with an excellent view of Wrigley Field!

Question for Yelp -- can I give the Wrigley Rooftops a 10-star review? Because I'd like to. One of the coolest ballpark experiences you'll ever have, the rooftops around Wrigley Field offer a view of the old ballgame that can't be replicated anywhere else in the country. For the price of admission, a buffet of classic ballpark food and Chicago favorites is readily available, as are beers and non-alcoholic beverages. An absolute must for any baseball fan coming to Chicago!

If you looking for a different experience this is a great way to watch the game. For a hefty price of 165 bucks you get to go to a rooftop directly overseeing Wrigley Field. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. Why not go into Wrigley? Well with the pricey fee you get unlimited food and drinks. Drinks end at the 7th inning. I ate my weight in burger, Italian beef sandwich, sausage, pasta salad, nachos and ice cream. It's not a deep spread menu but it does the job. The drinks are primarily beers, wine coolers, hard seltzers. It was definitely an experience that you don't get at most other ball parks. I saw try it if you want to mix it up but probably not for baseball purist.

Came here for a work event toward the end of summer and what an experience. I've only been to a couple Cubs games. The first I was in town for work and had some down time and they were playing. Great time. But this experience takes it to a whole new level. You are across the street but high enough up where you see over the stadium. You have a full open bar and food. Hot dogs, nachos, burgers, chips, etc. Its amazing! The experience of hanging out with co-workers and having the experience to go upstairs and sit in the bleachers on top is unparalleled experience. I am not sure the price tag was for renting the whole space but it was a super cool time. If given the chance I would def come back and do it again! Cheers Justin

This was my first rooftop experience at Wrigley Field. The view from this rooftop was not impacted by the big scoreboard, etc. that went up. When you first arrive you stand in line to enter a four floor walkup with other people who have also booked the rooftop, so you are sharing the rooftop with other groups/people. I think the maximum is 90 people. Once you pass through the security check and show your ID, you walk up to the 3rd floor which has the bar and food. The 4th floor has another bar and the bleachers which overlook Wrigley Field so you can watch the game. I throughly enjoyed the unlimited alcoholic beverages, food, and dessert options. They had a good variety of beers to choose from: Bell's Oberon, a Founder's Ale, a few hard ciders, and I think Budweiser was in the mix too. They served typical hamburger and hot dogs but from the hot charcoal or wood grill that was stationed upstairs so my burgers were usually piping hot. To accompany my burgers and a hotdog, I had nachos with hot cheese and jalapenos. They had a variety of chips to choose from as well. For dessert they had mini brownies, warm chocolate chip cookies, and a chest of ice cream sandwiches, chocolate and vanilla cups of ice cream and more. The seating on the third floor is arranged like a bar/pub so you can eat and watch the game on flat screen TVs or take your food upstairs to watch on the game from the bleachers. It was a very relaxed vibe and free flowing, allowing space for everyone to mix and mingle and change to different areas. I found the staff to be friendly, courteous and very helpful. One of their staff went by each table on the third floor to remind everyone that the bar would be closing by the end of the seventh inning. They also announced this at the beginning when you check-in but I found it helpful that the staff reminded everyone of the bar's closing. The view of Wrigley Field for the Cubs game was interesting. To be fair, you are not in the actual Stadium so your view and experience will be different as the Wrigley rooftop is across the street from the stadium.

First off - Wrigley Rooftops on Yelp is a hot mess. I probably clicked on over 8 of the "Wrigley Rooftops" pages before I found the one with the exact address that I went to. My review is in fact for this page: 3637 Sheffield. Second off - Background. What is Wrigley Rooftops? I was told that the owners of these properties started selling tickets to the Cubs games because the views from their rooftops were great. People were more than willing to buy them. Being that they are not part of Wrigley Field (these huge properties are located directly across the street bordering the stadium), the Cubs got pissed that they weren't getting a cut of their profits. When the property owners refused to cooperate, Wrigley Field put up huge billboards to block the views from all surrounding properties. Eventually, both sides reached an agreement and the billboards were torn down. Third off - 2.5 stars? Come on. I had a great time here! I guess it's understandable with only 2 reviews. It's a shame, because I'd bet some of the reviews on the more popular pages are for some of the other lesser reviewed rooftops. I'm here to try to make that a little more even. My experience here was 5 stars from start to finish. This was my first time in Chicago and my first time at a Cubs game. I know it's not the same as being inside of Wrigley Field, but I still thought the atmosphere from the rooftops was top notch. I would definitely recommend to others, and return here myself. All you can eat And drink? Count me in. I enjoyed some IPAs on tap, a hamburger, a chicken sandwich, ice cream treats, a cookie, and more. The food was great, but the service was even better. The lady serving the food was as nice as can be and had a great sense of humor. Super inviting, as well. Game views? A-OK. Not the best, but not bad, either. Some of the spots on the far end give some blind spots due to what I assume to be the right field score board, but I was able to score some good seats. It really didn't bother me much. I was more there for the experience than the game, anyways. I'll be honest. I really enjoyed this rooftop. Great food and beer selection, overall. The stadium seating was awesome, and while looking around, I definitely got the feeling that this was one of the better ones. The neighbors rooftops did not look as nice as this one. Plus, this rooftop has a secret bar at the absolute top. Keep going past the last row of seats and you'll see what I mean! Go ahead and check this place out!!

Much better experience for a baseball game than a convert. You can see the big scoreboards for baseball but for rock concert you are behind the stage, sound not so great and no video screen - couldn't see the band except for when they moved to front of stage.

Concert view for 9/18 DMB show. Apparently this is worth $300, according to Wrigley Rooftops.
    Sarah G.

Shame on Wrigley Rooftops for selling tickets to concerts with no view and no accountability. I purchased two $150 tickets (double the face value of the actual concert tickets) and had ZERO view of the performance. When I inquired about a refund (for $250, taking into account that we did eat and drink minimally), I was simply told 'we don't give refunds', and I was offered passes to a Cubs game instead. As I'm not really a baseball fan, and live in Omaha, this isn't acceptable. After that initial response, I did manage to get a hold of management, who did refund half of my purchase price. I personally felt that this wasn't acceptable, but the BBB thought otherwise. If only I would have known I could have asked for a refund the night of, as management informed me via our BBB-mediated correpondance, I immediately would have... Anyway, I'm sure this would be a great place to watch a baseball game, but even under those circumstances I won't be back. No amount of included food or drink makes up for lack of a view to a concert I planned my whole trip to Chicago around, and the whole experience left me pretty disappointed. Plus, since they didn't have the passes marked for that specific event, it's free reign for anyone who's ever been up on the rooftop before, which also makes it overcrowded.

The arena itself is just a little better than a high school gym. It's small with stadium bleacher seating on both sides of the court. There are electronic score boards on both sides and a large screen that shows the game. I'm not sure the purpose of the screen since the arena is small enough where watching the actual court is better than looking at a vibrant screen. The sound system was fabulous. It was easy to hear the lively announcer. There was a concession stand that was nicely staffed outside of the arena; however, the small space was easily congested. There was also a table that sold t-shirts. Tickets for the games are inexpensive. We were able to get two seats (and they were assigned seats) to a sold out game. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that there was a DePaul student already in one of our seats. We showed her that she was in our seat and she only scooched over a little on the bench so that the two of us could squeeze into one seat space with my posterior hanging off the end. The girl explained that students are allowed to get into the games for free and that they are allowed to sit wherever they like despite folks who have paid tickets for assigned seats. It was extremely uncomfortable to sit on a cramped bleacher in that fashion. Additionally there was little leg room. My knees often touched the back of the person in front of me. I'm a small person so I can't imagine a tall person having to squish into the space. On the plus side, I appreciated that the cheerleaders, the dance team, and the band were all there to provide entertainment during time-outs and half-time.
