Awesome place! Jess and everyone go above and beyond and make sure that you get the most out of your lesson! Bob goes the extra mile to make sure your bow is setup perfectly for you. I love talking to other people at the shop who are either getting into archery, or are experienced, and one of the most common responses I get to when I ask "What brings you to Chicago Archery?", is "My previous bow shop setup my bow completely wrong". The tournaments I have partaken in, and the deer I put on the ground are a testament to Bob and Jess's expertise and integrity!

This is such a fun place! We had a blast. Owner Bob Meyer is a USMC Veteran and his daughters grew up doing archery, now they teach lessons there. They are such amazing and knowledgeable coaches. Pretty sweet bow shop too, they have just about everything you could possibly need. Great place for beginners and experts alike. We'll be back again for sure.

I got into archery about a month ago and was looking for a range that I could regularly visit. Found Chicago Archery thru Yelp and was very pleased with the service and knowledge provided. I visited them both yesterday and today and the shop owner made it a point to stop and talk to me each day- wanting to know about me and what brought me to his shop. He went as far as offering tips on holding the bow and following thru with my shots -which means a lot to me as I am so new to the sport (and feeling intimidated). His daughter was conducting a private lesson in the lane next to me and she even gave me tips and advice. All-in-all, I had a great weekend here and ended up purchasing a five-hour range punch card. Looking forward to building my skills at Chicago Archery!

Jessica had so much knowledge, she knew exactly how to adjust my bow so that I was closer to the center every time.

( although I guess it gets pretty crowded because by the time we were done and out people were waiting for Parking spaces) 2. Friendly friendly staff! They were so patient and funny and eager to answer any questions. They greet u by the door with a welcoming "hello!". 3. Affordable. $27/ person if 5 or more people in a group and $35/ person if 4 or less people. (Not sure if these prices are higher for a party because some of the other reviews say different.) 4. Have fun!! That's one of their biggest rules! 5. We got to keep out bullseye sheet thingy! -like others have said its in a warehouse-type building and u have to ring bell to get in. It's located right next to a puppy food store. (I don't have a pet but I suggest checking it out after archery because some of the products are so funny and cute) -when u walk in they'll instruct u to sign in and sign a waiver. Coat hanger available upon walking in -they take only cash or check so have these ready! - they don't have a phone. ALL contact is via email or walk-in so make sure to book appointments in advance Have fun!! My party and I sure did! Far exceeded our expectations! Can't wait to go back!

It's my first time being here definitely won't be my last not only does the owner friendly and helpful but is willing to take the time to teach people who are not experienced and Archery. When I have arrived I was able to take a few practice shots and then get my feeling adjusting is plenty of space and great for beginners and advance. I usually don't give 5 stars but the fact that I was given great service & the owner was very knowledgeable I can't complain I even pay Advance. Make sure you bring cash payment is usually taken by cash only.

Ya could say I hit the Bullseye when I found BowDoc ; )…read more I took the Thursday night archery intro class and it was awesome. I've never touched a bow in my life but I was totally comfortable with everything as it was taught and presented. We got to shoot so much during the class and we also got to stay after class as long as we wanted until the range closed to keep shooting. I loved it. Fyi: The Intro class was only $20 & it's only $15 for open range including renting a bow. And you can stay as long as you want. The people are so friendly, welcoming, and inclusive. I love that there are so many women involved. Apparently women are badass archers! I've been back to shoot now at the open range and there seem to be no egos; there's a great supportive vibe. Everyone just has fun while focusing on honing their skill at this really addictive sport. The archery shop has a good selection, lots of bows, arrows, targets, all kinds of stuff. I asked about getting set up with a new bow and what I like is that they were very honest about the cost of getting started, they didn't try to up sell me or give me the hard sell like so many places would've have since I'm 1) obviously super eager & 2) relatively clueless about archery. The shop is set in a tricky to find place the first time, for me at least. It's set behind a storage unit place. There's a long driveway but you just go past the storages/garages, there is at least one sign (a burma shave/garage sale style sign) that says Archery with an arrow towards the shop. And the shop is easy to see on the left once you drive by the storages & other businesses. Parking is easy. Tl;dr: I feel safe and welcome at BowDoc. :o)

Third, and probably my favorite feature right now, is a robust Free People Movement section. FPM is a wonderful brand, with cute style but also very functional, comfortable and durable. My daughter's love this brand so their clothing and accessories make nice gifts. I have noticed that not all Dick's locations carry Free People. So I appreciate the variety found in their section here. The only thing I don't like about this location are the constantly locked dressing rooms and having to ring the bell or hunt someone down to try on garments. It's an inconvenience, especially if you have limited time to shop. Check out the licensed team sports wear and the second floor for higher end outdoor brands like Columbia and North Face. They have a vast selection of shoes too.

This store located in Schaumburg, IL is one of the larger ones we've visited, with a huge atrium and two stories of various wares. We came soon after it opened and it was SO empty. But there were people available to help, along with open registers to quickly check out. Maybe because there were so few people, the associates seemed to be going out of their way to be helpful and friendly: from the talkative cashier to the disabled greeter in the wheelchair using an artificial voice generator. The most important thing was that we found what we were looking for in this well stocked, giant store: Fighting Ilini branded socks and banner to gift our friend's son who had just recently decided to go to my alma mater.
