Cool shop with a good archery range. The shop is pretty extensive, they have all sorts of bows (compound, wooden, etc) and every other equipment you need from arrows to hats and jackets. We came here to shoot around at the range. They have two ranges, one is on the ground floor, which isn't as cool because everyone including the owner can watch you (I'm not a fan since I'm a beginner and I hate being watched). The upstairs is more secluded, it has about 6 lanes. Rental equipment was cheap, we paid $12 each for about 1.5 hours of shooting which included the bow, arrows, gloves and forearm shiver thing. I had a lot of fun, I recommend this place for beginners and experts. oh and I forgot to mention that they have all different targets to shoot at, close, far, paper targets and even balloons (you have to blow them up yourself though)

Looking for something fun to do outside of your normal routine? Come here! I had notice this place while walking up Madison street. eventually came back one day and seen there was someone being taught how to hold and aim the bow. Found out that it was VERY inexpensive to get lessons and that you can learn very quickly and once you take the first class you can come back on your own and practice... came back later that night and my instructor was very patient and attentive. Not a bad first date ice breaker.

Owner has a poor attitude and turned away business, money and the chance for a return customer because of his terrible customer service.

This place is my local go to archery shop for bow enhancement and custom arrows. The range is great for practice and tuning.

Took lesson with Hubs for date night. It was fun- although my 8th grade awesomeness didn't return immediately.

$12 to go shoot arrows for "an hour" but really is as long as you want. This place is awesome. It is like a dive bar but for archery places.

I had so much fuuuuun!!!!!!!!! Archery is harder than it looks and I guess I will never survive…read morehunger games. Hehe :) Here's why this place gets 5 stars: 1. Free parking!! ( although I guess it gets pretty crowded because by the time we were done and out people were waiting for Parking spaces) 2. Friendly friendly staff! They were so patient and funny and eager to answer any questions. They greet u by the door with a welcoming "hello!". 3. Affordable. $27/ person if 5 or more people in a group and $35/ person if 4 or less people. (Not sure if these prices are higher for a party because some of the other reviews say different.) 4. Have fun!! That's one of their biggest rules! 5. We got to keep out bullseye sheet thingy! -like others have said its in a warehouse-type building and u have to ring bell to get in. It's located right next to a puppy food store. (I don't have a pet but I suggest checking it out after archery because some of the products are so funny and cute) -when u walk in they'll instruct u to sign in and sign a waiver. Coat hanger available upon walking in -they take only cash or check so have these ready! - they don't have a phone. ALL contact is via email or walk-in so make sure to book appointments in advance Have fun!! My party and I sure did! Far exceeded our expectations! Can't wait to go back!

It's my first time being here definitely won't be my last not only does the owner friendly and helpful but is willing to take the time to teach people who are not experienced and Archery. When I have arrived I was able to take a few practice shots and then get my feeling adjusting is plenty of space and great for beginners and advance. I usually don't give 5 stars but the fact that I was given great service & the owner was very knowledgeable I can't complain I even pay Advance. Make sure you bring cash payment is usually taken by cash only.

Ya could say I hit the Bullseye when I found BowDoc ; )…read more I took the Thursday night archery intro class and it was awesome. I've never touched a bow in my life but I was totally comfortable with everything as it was taught and presented. We got to shoot so much during the class and we also got to stay after class as long as we wanted until the range closed to keep shooting. I loved it. Fyi: The Intro class was only $20 & it's only $15 for open range including renting a bow. And you can stay as long as you want. The people are so friendly, welcoming, and inclusive. I love that there are so many women involved. Apparently women are badass archers! I've been back to shoot now at the open range and there seem to be no egos; there's a great supportive vibe. Everyone just has fun while focusing on honing their skill at this really addictive sport. The archery shop has a good selection, lots of bows, arrows, targets, all kinds of stuff. I asked about getting set up with a new bow and what I like is that they were very honest about the cost of getting started, they didn't try to up sell me or give me the hard sell like so many places would've have since I'm 1) obviously super eager & 2) relatively clueless about archery. The shop is set in a tricky to find place the first time, for me at least. It's set behind a storage unit place. There's a long driveway but you just go past the storages/garages, there is at least one sign (a burma shave/garage sale style sign) that says Archery with an arrow towards the shop. And the shop is easy to see on the left once you drive by the storages & other businesses. Parking is easy. Tl;dr: I feel safe and welcome at BowDoc. :o)

Forteza Fitness is a supportive group who pushes you to do your best and work with whatever you can do. Taking any kind of class can be overwhelming especially when you have difficulties with the exercise. Everyone from the teachers to other students are so patient and work with my abilities and support each other as we go through the classes. I have struggled with classes because of trying to train my muscles to work a certain way or having the stamina, but the support at Forteza keeps pushing me and helping to make me stronger/heathier.

The space is set up mostly for the martial arts, so that it feels like a set for period movie about Queen Elizabeth. It's a very comfortable space for bookworms to come work out. The fitness classes are very fun. They tend to be small, with lots of personal, gentle attention. Trainers get to know the regulars and the regulars get to know each other, which makes each workout friendly and welcoming. And I got a great deal on personal training. The workouts themselves are usually a bit more focused on strength and flexibility over cardio/endurance. The one drawback (for those who use the space more for fitness) is that it really is more of studio than a gym. There's no showers and no treadmills. Somehow I'm far more motivated to work out here than I was at other places I tried, where I'd just end up donating my gym membership month after month. At Forteza I feel like I'm getting a personal training . . .in a class setting . . three times a week. Like it's gym class again but for fun people with nice teachers. It's a gym class that's redeemed itself. They've fixed gym class. It's glorious.
