The location itself is very wonderful. I grew up coming to this place for birthday parties with my friends. The location to this day is still very organized, clean, and friendly. As for the laser tag itself, they did recently upgrade their guns and they are awesome. I love the shield mode and all kinds of new features. I do have criticisms though that should be addressed: 1. As a regular client, the location is starting to get boring. People know all the secrets, all the lights, all the traps, etc. Can you please consider changing the floor layout every so often to avoid tedium? 2. The decorations inside the arena are starting to show their age. They all look great, but a lot of them are no longer functional. I think upgrading the decorations in the arena would be awesome. 3. The "towers" are a really cool addition to the laser tag games, but the blue tower can be guarded very easily. Unlike the red and yellow towers, there's only two entrances into the blue tower and it can be almost impossible to get points taking it down if two good players are camping there guarding it. 4. The obstacles are barrels and walls. I think it would be cool if the arena had more variety including different shaped barriers or more things to avoid. 5. There's 4 interactive shootable lights around the arena. I think it would be really cool if there were more of those to shoot at. 2 of them turn on lights, while 2 of them just give you points. Overall, LaserX of Addison is wonderful and I'm so happy that the location is still open. I am just on the fence with the upkeep of the arena. The laser tag system is great, but the arena itself does need some improvements. There's not enough updates to keep people wanting to come back to see what's different.

You need to make a reservation in advance, so they can keep your spot. Especially, they have only one archery lane, so you better check with them first. For axe throwing, there are 8 lanes so should be easier to keep the spot. A scary-looking macho guy was in front, but he was friendly when he started explaining the rules, how to use the bow, and other details. And he was good with those activities. He effortlessly showed us how it's done, and was pretty kind to check on us a while later. We booked the archery lane, and in the end we still had 15 mins left after neither of us could hold the bow anymore. We asked him if we could try axe throwing for a short time, and he agreed to this with a smile. And of course he was great with axes, too. It was very easy to make a reservation, enjoy the activities, and talk with the clerk. We did enjoy the whole time there, and would love to go back in the cold winter time!

My brother, fiance, and I were looking to play some basketball one fine Saturday afternoon. We…read morecouldn't play at X-Sport because you have to be at least 18 (my brother is 15) and we couldn't play at our gym because the basketball court also doubles as a racquetball court. It was a nice day so we decided to play outside. We did a search of places around the area that we could play and came upon Lombard Commons. It's right behind the water park. The park is really nice. They have a playground for kiddies, soccer fields, tennis courts, and basketball courts. They also have a parking lot which is awesome, so you don't have to drive up and down the street trying to find something. The park looks pretty big, so I don't know what is beyond the soccer fields but go exploring and I'm sure you'll find some more stuff. The basketball courts were in decent condition. Our gripe was with the basketball hoops. They are made of iron or something hard (obviously so it can stand up to weather), but it just makes it difficult to use the backboard to get the ball in, and the ball flies right off the hoop. Maybe we just suck at basketball, but this made me feel like I suck even more. Oh well. We still had fun and it was a great workout. There are three other hoops and they are spaced well, so you don't have to worry about getting in the way of others. I'll definitely come back here to play and you should too!
