Just talking about the 9 hole par 3 golf course: Walk up, pay 16 bucks or something, and go play 9 holes on a short little course. No reservations. No driver. Longest hole is 185 or so. Great spot to take brand new players and kids. No time pressure, no dress code. No one will bristle at golf etiquette mistakes. But you'll probably only be hitting irons. Driving range attached. It's about as low stakes as you can get for 9 holes. Greens aren't great but a pretty decent place to learn to putt. Slow, nothing tricky, breaks the way you think it will. Bunkers are patches of sand with some tall grass weeds, but the greens are pretty big and you're usually hitting a 7 iron so it's fine. All I all I like it but it's not a place I'd score, which again makes it great for learners. read more

Mini golf - Do not waste your money or time!!! I don't review things unless I have a super excellent experience or a super awful one... unfortunately, this was bad. Super run down and not maintained at all. When we pulled in, it looked like it was not even open. Water in mountain was not even running. Plants were super over grown and there were bees everywhere (prob because waterfall was not working to keep them away and landscape is so overgrown). Greens have seen better days. Also, front desk girl was super rude. Asked her a question and she just stared at me. Asked it again nicely thinking she didn't hear, and you could tell she had no idea, or just didn't care. We didn't even make it half way through the course before we turned in our clubs. Overall, I can't believe they charge the amount they do. Wouldn't even consider going back until major updates are made to mini golf facility! read more

Mini Golf: A group of us went on a Saturday night at 5:30, and it wasn't that busy - which was nice. For 4 of us it was $35 which was a great price. However, the course itself was run down. Weeds everywhere, the greens were ratty, some with rips in them, only one part of the water attraction was working, so there was smelly stagnate water. Trash around the course. Definitely needs some maintenance. read more

The dome facility is very nice. However, the price is absolutely outrageous. 44 dollars an hour makes it impossible. They've drove the prices up like crazy the past 2 winters. Was planning on spending a lot of my winter here like I have the past two years, but won't until the prices are managed better. Even added a 5 minute rate so they can charge you for going a few minutes over the hour. When price was 20-25 an hour it was awesome! No longer worth it read more

Used to be good when they had member of the day! Now it's just ok . There are no rewards or discounts for Addison residents. Green Valley has a punch card for a free bucket after 5 purchases . Dome is nice with the ball tracer, but $40/ hour is outrageous. To compare, Green Valley range(5 miles west down Lake St) is $13 for 110 balls and only $5/ hour for the exact same tracer. And it's an outdoor 300+ yd range with heaters and covered bays, food, drinks, chairs, etc. I could see charging that much at certain peak times, but on a Tuesday morning in Jan seems crazy. Or at least offer a lower price during slow times or for the 2nd or 3rd hour. And it's never busy, and that's prob why. People can't afford spend $100 just to bring their kids there for like 2 hours. C'mon, City of Addison. They'd probably do twice as much business if it was like $30, and $20 for the second hour. And 2hrs wouldn't cost more than playing 4 hrs of actual golf. read more

Long story short, this course is A-OK but there are cheaper and better around the suburbs. It costs a dollar or two more than it probably should. The aesthetics are fine but not fancy or gorgeous, and the level of maintenance is also modest--no bad problems but noticeable wear and tear throughout. Your ball is almost guaranteed to go into the streams or waterfalls at some point because the barriers are very low, but it will float and not escape if you snatch it quickly. The difficulty seems high for the posted pars, but that doesn't really matter. It's mini golf; it's fun; it's just not worth the drive if there is a similar course closer to you. - Only the back nine is wheelchair/stroller accessible. + The snack bar sells beer + This facility also offers soccer golf, which is a pretty neat idea. read more

Long review ahead, so here's the short of it. Good value, fun facility, the course and range are sometimes in need of attention, particularly the greens and occasionally the range hitting area. I live nearby here and can appreciate an all day price. On a day off, you can spend all day here for $25, unlimited balls and unlimited play on the course. Walking only obviously, so it's good exercise. If you get tired, rent or bring a push cart. Or play mini golf because there is mini golf, and I hear it's good! The greens here are actually not bad discounting the fact that folks have shelled them to oblivion without bothering to repair ball marks. For the love of all of our higher powers that we worship or lack thereof, look up how to repair a ball mark on YouTube. We can still drink tall boys that we brought onto the course and didn't get from the pro shop nor the convenience store off of hole nine because they don't sell them and repair our ball marks. It's a fact; I do it. It's actually cathartic when you think about all the potential hole in ones you could facilitate by repairing your ball mark, as opposed to depriving a living human being of one of the proudest moments they can experience as a golfer when their ball takes an errant bounce off of the metaphorical surface of the moon. And I got news for those that made hole in ones from an errant bounce - it counts. It might not be a part of the course we like, but it was that time. Congratulations you absolute champions. Fix ball marks! Or conversely, the park district can hire me for the low low price of free golf, forever, and I will repair 20 marks per hole I play, forever. In all seriousness, it would be a worthwhile investment to have ball mark repair tools in a bowl on the front desk. Leave a return bin along the walk from the ninth hole. Sanitize and reuse. Leave a friendly reminder in the form of a sign on the first tee. You could easily get a whole fifth grade boyscout troupe to come up with a friendly reminder coming from the word bubble of a cartoon gopher, saying "fix your ball marks or I'll find you", or maybe something nicer, I'm not the best at friendly reminders. The range is well used because the value is good. There is only so much grass to displace trying to hit our long irons. If you time it right, you might catch the range right after the hitting line is moved to fresher grass, but otherwise it is a good opportunity to practice not moving our balls when faced with a bad lie on the course. I used to come here when I was a kid, mostly to play mini golf. The mini golf area is completely redone now, complete with waterfalls and mountains. The course is not my favorite; many of the greens seem not level and a lot of the holes have significant lips around them, plus it seems like a lot of wood posts were removed and there are random holes because they have not been replaced. This facility has a driving range, course, and a golf dome for cold weather. Prices are $9 for Addison residents and $10 for everyone else. The mini golf course is at the west front of the facility, so it's on its own with the party area and restrooms. read more

Bad: nowhere to put my clubs but flat on the ground, looked like there used to be something but it broke off most stalls. Played a round yesterday with my wife who is just learning to play . Course is in horrible condition. Tee boxes are full of divots. Fairways not cut. Greens are beat up , and slow . On top of that the practice area is in the Sad condition as well. This facility has potential and could be awesome. the Addison park district needs to step up there game or sell it to someone who cares about running a golf practice facility and short course. read more

This review is for the driving range. I used to come to this range for the grass tees because most ranges in the area are mats. Something has changed this year. The range is in terrible shape, all sand and no grass. The balls look about 10 years old. The facility is nice but the maintenance has gone completely downhill. The indoor range is decent, but not great. It's not real deep, maybe 180yds to the back wall and there are no automatic tees (at least on the bottom level). My first time at Links & Tees won't be my last! Being that it was my first time mini golfing (yes I am 23...), I gave this facility 4 stars because I don't have any place to compare it to. I had gone on a Thursday evening and it was absolutely dead. This was fine with me because it saved some embarrassment, hehe. Buying the game was quick and painless and I thought it was cool you could pick which color ball you use throughout the course. Though I wasn't the next Tiger Woods, I wish there were more holes after the 18th! Links & Tees itself is a really neat place. The waterfalls, big rocks and bridges really made me forget I was on Lake Street - so pretty and picturesque! At first, I was a little intimidated by the complexity of the course. There are hills, certain holes, curves and totem poles you must either hit correctly or miss that made me feel this course may be for a mini golfer much more advanced than me. However, after a few hits and misses and some patience (okay maybe a lot of patience) it wasn't as bad as I thought! The concentration the course required (at least from me) was actually what kept me excited for more. Aside from the humidity and being eaten alive by bugs, this is a really fun place to come to on a summer night when it's lit up! read more

This place is great. I've been to (expensive) golf simulators but the dome is the best. They have events frequently where you can get beer specials and golf specials! Ladies night, for example, is two hours of golf and they have a PGA instructor going around helping everyone with their stroke. This is a great indoor activity for anyone looking for a fun date or something to do with your friends. If you get hungry, they'll let you order pizza! Pizza, beer, and golf, you can't beat that! This is a review for the indoor golf driving range dome. This is a great place to hit some balls especially during the winter. The dome keeps the weather out. You pay by the half hour per stall so if you and a friend don't mind taking turns, you can save some money that way. Some of the stalls have radar on them but it doesn't seem that accurate, but who knows. There is also an upstairs level. The staff is friendly and it's always clean when I go. It's not super cheap but it's not super expensive either. I would check it out if you wanna hit some balls and it's too cold to go to an outdoor range. read more

Above average driving range with a hefty price tag. Came here recently to test a new set of clubs that I recently purchased. Links & Tees offers both mats and grass tees at their driving range which is awesome! However, a small bucket of balls (around 40) cost $7, which is pretty pricey. The range also provides a putting green to perfect your craft. Overall, Links and Tees is one of the better driving ranges in the area, but their prices are a little high for my taste. read more

I mainly come here for the miniature golf outdoors, which is actually a lot of fun. Considering how many times I've been here, my friends and I know all the tricks to each hole, so it's just fun watching us fail at executing them. The supposed "volcano" has blue water instead of red, (unless it's Halloween) but overall the layout is really nice. The indoor facility is very clean and inviting, and the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. I don't have much to say about the dome or the outdoor golfing range, other than they're what you'd expect from a typical range. Not as high tech when it comes to other high key golfing ranges, but still has all the amenities. Overall, if you're looking for a good time to hang out in Addison, the Putter's Peak Mini Golf will get the job done! Highly recommended. read more

This is a review for the golf some. I am very pleased with my experience with this golf dome. As an early Christmas gift, I was lucky enough to receive a season pass. I feel this dome is taller than nearby McQ's or White Pines. This is great because your short irons won't immediatley fly into the ceiling. The staff is extremely friendly. Although, several older employees are quite inattentive. Charles does a great job managing a top notch facility. The target greens are very receptive and nearly like playing a real course. I only have two complaints about this place. The greens and chipping area are WAY too fast. I'm talking faster than Augusta National fast. So, if you are playing in the Masters, that will be great for you. My biggest complaint is that this place seems to be the spot for old people to hang out and drink free coffee. They just sit at the tables and chit chat. I am pretty sure they don't even bring golf clubs. This can be quite annoying when you are hiting balls by a table of old men gawking at your every move. read more

I really liked this golf course. I thought the landscape was very pretty. They took on a natural theme which made for a difficult course that looks pretty. I loved the mountain edges and greenery. The course is tons of fun and challenging enough for more "serious" mini golfers, but not too challenging for more novice players. I have to say, not having a gimmicky set-up was refreshing. I will definitely be back to play a round since I am more partial to mini golf and I am the more traditional form of golf. read more

I get that over time, golf courses will raise there prices. With raised prices, usually come better course conditions. Not Links and Tees. The sand is usually rock hard. There's no ball cleaners. All the tee boxes are dug up. The greens are so inconsistent. One hole there fast, the next the opposite. Slow play. That is almost a guarantee with this course. The workers don't care about tee times and don't check. Me and my Dad have been going here for years. The conditions have only gotten worse and worse. read more

I like this place. It's clean, well-managed and close to home. However, there is some room for improvement. I've hit a few buckets of balls on the outdoor driving range. Pretty nice. Plenty of space. The few times I've gone they were only allowing you to hit off the mats with rubber tees. I'm pretty sure they open up the grass tees sometimes...just never when I'm there. I've never gone to the indoor/dome range. I've also played the 9-hole course a few times. As a beginner golfer, I like it: pretty well-maintained, good amount of sand and some water holes too. But it's pricey for a par 3 course if you're a non-resident. $15 is steep for a very basic course that'll take you 60-90 mins to play, even if you're a godawful golfer like me. In comparison, I've golfed at the 9-hole Pottawatomie golf course in St. Charles for $18 (on a weekday) as a non-resident...and that's a gorgeous, award-winning course with a handful of par 4's and par 5's. And just last week I played Maple Meadows' east 9 course for only $11! Granted, it was a little damaged from the rainstorms, but still...eleven bucks. The few times I've played the par 3 course, it was dead. I really think if this place dropped their standard prices on the par 3 course to maybe $7 for residents/$9 for non-residents (or hell, even lower), they'd get more people playing it. I know a bunch of my non-resident friends and family members would definitely be up for it. Customer service has been hit or miss for me. Most of the employees are pretty nice and upbeat, but this one older guy there has some of the worst customer service skills I've ever seen. No smile, no friendly banter, no 'good luck on the course'...nothing. It was like he was pissed we even wanted to play golf at the facility. Seriously, what's with these old guys at golf courses being so ornery and unfriendly? I see them all over the place. And I am nothing but nice to them. Maple Meadows had a charmer of its own too. Lighten the fuck up, guys. No offense, but you get to spend your whole day at a golf course. Life could be worse. Would you rather be greeting me at Wal-Mart? Didn't think so, gramps. I give them credit for offering some coupons and twilight/early bird deals on the par 3 course and range. Fortunately, I'm a resident so I'll be back. read more

I don't know I can't play the real thing. The minature version was funa dn looks cute. You can easily see it going through beautiful lake street in Addison. probably the only cool thing to view on this stretch of suburbia. The golf dome is nice and there is an outside range for warmer weather. If you want indoor range you will have to come in winter read more

Links and Tees has a nice little mini-golf course. Several of the holes have some cool features, like multiple levels or tubes that you have to hit your ball through. The course is rarely crowded, and a good way to kill some time. The only thing is that the waterfall seems to be alternately hot pink or bright blue, which is a little weird. read more
