Today's the last day of summer and we wanted to do something fun so we went miniature golfing. I love this location because it's on flat ground and I have problems with my knee so it's really easy for me to maneuver through the course. There were lots of people there and we still didn't have to wait that long to get through the course. There's plenty of seats if you get tired along the journey. I saw a sign where after 7:00 p.m. it's 18 and up. I definitely recommend stopping by and giving this place a try it was only $8.50 a person to play miniature golf. They have gambling machines and also areas where you can practice putting and hitting the ball. This was a great golfing range!! There are covered areas and non covered so you can still go while raining . There was a snack concession stand too for drinks ( alcoholic drinks as well) and snacks . TAKE ADVANTAGE OF NEW GOLFERS DO NOT GO HERE Paid them to replace shaft of broken driver- told me an extra stiff shaft would be $60-$70. I came back to find they used a much cheaper and flexible shaft and tried to tell me that it would play the same because they shortened it. After hitting 100 balls and confirming it did not hit the same, and I would like the shaft that I paid for, I was yelled at and screamed at to leave and that they will not be giving me the shaft that I paid for. Just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind, I confirmed with two seperate golf professionals that the shaft they gave me was not an extra stiff and not close in terms of flex, thickness etc. to playing the same. This place is only about 20 minutes away! It's reasonably priced and the staff is really nice. This spot is definitely a go to if you wanna have some fun or just work on your swings. They also have mini golf, food, drinks, entertainment, etc. It's definitely a fun time & I would recommend it! It can get crowded when it gets nicer out. Had the best time! My boyfriend even hit the hole-in-one for a free game at the end. We thought we could keep playing and instead of kindly letting us know that it apparently doesn't work that way and how to correctly go about it, the woman with the very thick, smeared eyeliner and blonde hair says to us in a condescending tone, "What you thought you get a hole-in-one and keep playing? Doesn"t work like that." After the smug comment, my boyfriend knew I was uncomfortable and said for us to go. After it was clear were werent staying for another game, she says "bye" rudely and starts to walk away, after asking where we should put the clubs she shortly return and goes "we'll take those, yep, thanks bye" smugly. The girl however who I first encounted for the initial transaction a very blonde girl was so pleasant and funny! She kindly let us know how it worked prior to the rude encounter with whoever that other woman was. Will only be returning due to HER kindness and for the convenience of the location. :) read more

Once the cold weather ended and I saw the range in its full effect, I couldn't believe my eyes. It's like the coolest place in the world. The owner and his staff are really nice. Your balls will be overfilling the bucket and sparkling white, and they have something there for everybody. First of all the entire lot is HUGE. The place is big enough to house an NFL stadium with a parking lot. The far west (right) side of the range features high quality grass bays with great lighting. Late at night you are likely to be alone out there and if you are a decent golfer like me you really appreciate the privacy and tranquility. Things you can do at this place: drink, smoke, gamble, sit, eat, shop, hit balls, do mini-golf (aka putt putt), watch sports, listen to live bands, link up to range tracker and compete or just hit for the stat info, bring a date, sit and relax in between sessions on the cozy outdoor furniture. You will always feel welcome and relaxed at this place. Just because you may see a ton of cars in the lot, that doesn't mean you can't find and area where you can be alone. That's what I like. But if you want noise and people, the middle section is always jumping. It feels like you are walking around Great America without the prices, without the parking issues, and without the rude and young staffers. Oh yeah and they also have a practice green side bunker area and a putting green. AND THEY ARE OPEN DAILY UNTIL 12AM!!! I love this place and I'm not impressed easily by much. read more

Had an amazing experience at Green Valley. We made a reservation for a bay on the range for a Friday night. If you like cold beer, good burgers and live music then definitely go on a Friday night. The owners and all the staff were so attentive and friendly it was refreshing. Often times my experience on a night out somewhere the service is not nearly at this level. There is a camera system set up called TopTracer that logs all your shots (like Top Golf, but better). The owner came out and took the time to help us learn how to use it properly, again super accommodating service. Overall, had a blast and will definitely return many times! read more

Go back maybe 10 years ago. Green Valley was a dump. Horrible grass tees, poor setup. In comes a real estate company who wants their land and owns some a few blocks down the street, then comes the new Green Valley! This place is an excellent driving range with both grass and mats available. Heated tees available for those cool spring nights. They are open until 11 oclock if you need to hit a bucket after 9 PM (which I do many times). The pro shop is fully stocked with brand name products at good prices. The mini golf is cute and cheap. You won't be wowed by it, but it's decent to spend the time. read more

This is one of the better, reasonably priced, golf ranges I've visited. Overall, the mats and grass areas are very well maintained. Prices per bucket are reasonable (at time of writing, $16 gets you 200 balls for the range, club rental is 50 cents). Their golf pro shop is reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The mini-golf is a lot of fun. This is very family friendly, and is a great bargain. But, the most important thing is the fact they have the best soft serve ice cream. For a few bucks, you get a nice sized cone which goes down nicely after a hitting a few buckets of balls. EDIT (7/22/2007): The last few times I was at Green Valley Golf Range, I noticed that there were a good deal of old cigar smoking men and obnoxious teens at the range. If you are sensitive to smoke, you may want to be careful. Also, the obnoxious teens tend to either do dangerous and stupid stuff, or they tend to walk next to you before you take a shot. Therefore, while I am not lowering my rating at this time, I advise people to exercise caution at this place and consider other local golf ranges instead. read more

FORE! I've been to Green Valley Golf Range a few time prior to my most recent visit. However this time I made two important discoveries. 1) They have heaters at the covered driving range stations. PERFECT for chilly nights when you have the urge to hit a few balls. 2) The mini golf course. Not super hard, but slightly challenging and definitely fun. We did find it amusing that some of the setups had blatant advertisements for local businesses, but nothing so horrible that it is worth deducting a star for. I also got my first mini-golf hole in one so I now have a special affection for the course. Overall it was a great experience. Everyone there is really nice and the prices are reasonable. Note to those fond of paying with plastic - Green Valley doesn't take credit or debit cards so I suggest you bring cash with you. In attempt to be "athletic" and spend time with my husband, I come here every now and then with him to hit some golf balls. Like any driving range there are bugs galore so don't forget your Off! bug spray. Can't remember the pricing on the buckets but don't forget to pick up a card to get punched with every bucket purchase so that you eventually get one free. Their clerks at the pro store are very knowledgeable and friendly. Even gave us a discount on my first golfing glove! Either way prices here are less than you'll find at the big sporting stores (at least for accesories). read more

Four! I was meeting a friend for drinks, and she was running late. This was close by, so I decided to swing the wrenches for a little while. I really liked it. The facilities are in good conditon. The prices are great for each size bucket. Plus, I was smacking the balls into the next dimension, so that definitely helped increase the level of enjoyment I was experiencing. The guy next to me was about 70 years old, and he was also crushing the balls with every stroke. Maybe there was something in the air that night or maye this place has a magical aurora. Easily my favorite place to go! The staff is super friendly (it's a family-owned vibe, so you start to recognize each other), the prices are great and they have a PGA pro on site to help out. I took women's group lessons with Randy and I'm MUCH more comfortable with my swing. Also, they have snacks, ice cream, TVs to watch Golf Channel, simulators and mini golf - but don't try the putt-putt after 8 pm on a Friday unless you want to wait in line! read more

I am a fan of green valley golf range. The prices are pretty reasonable ($16 for 190-200 balls, not that I've ever counted but it's huge). They have a pretty good selection of Rosati's pizzal/hot dogs/ice cream which is nice for the kids. They have the mat as well as some grass tees. They have ample targets and markers and even have compensated distances to make up for the fact that some tees are closer than others. The staff is friendly and is helpful if you accidentally spill your bucket of 200 balls. Not that I know from personal experience. Ok, maybe I know. I only dropped about 20 balls though. They also have some electronic tee system but I didn't really take a good look. Also, a reviewer below mentioned cash only, but they take cards now. I checked out the pro shop and it looked like it had a lot of gear, but I didn't really look at the prices. The gloves seemed reasonable though. Good stuff. read more

Definitely a better alternative to top golf. Top golf is expensive and consistently has a long wait time. Green valley is well priced with no wait time from the few times I visited. Driving range has an option to add a sensor component to see stats and enjoy games with results on the tv screen. Alright, before i get started... lemme warn u about something.... WATCH WHERE UR STEPPING! theres goose poop on every single golf course hole! EVERY SINGLE ONE! im not kidding! there was a pile of it on like the 5th hole, and it was SICK! now that we got THAT done, i think it was actually pretty good.. besides the piles of poop everywhere! only 5 bucks a person, and if you go in the winter, you get the ENTIRE golf course to yourself! no lines! pretty cool! theres only a couple guys golfing the big course. only bad part is that it goes too quick because theres no lines! but if your looking for a place to just play some golf i would suggest coming here. great deals, and theres no one there so thats a good thing! at least you get some privacy! read more

This driving range/mini golf place was nice and had some really cool events going on. They serve beer and on Friday they also have hotdogs, burgers, and some liquor. Also, before we left there was a live band setting up to play. The price for minigolf was $5-6 a person, depending on the time, and the driving range had a variety of bucket sizes with the largest being $17. The minigolf is average at best, with all the holes located in the center of the green, except maybe 3 holes which had turns. It is perfect for young kids, but not the kind of place to bring a date. The driving range was nicer, but still not too fancy. Standard outdoor range with shade. I will say the seating was very nice and comfortable. Now for the bad part about this place: employees are young kids who are not attentive. Beer was $3.50 each on all the signs, but the kid charged me $5 each (I didn't notice until later). Then for minigolf he was about to charge us more than the normal price until I looked at the sign and corrected him. The last point was that they do not have many clubs to borrow for the range. We were given two 3s, a 6, and a 9 between 7 people, and one of the 3s was kid size. We asked for more clubs, but the people at the front were kind of rude about it, which was offputting. My suggestion is to go here only if you have your own clubs and only minigolf if you want to keep your kid occupied for an hour. read more
