Went here twice for a Baptism as well a birthday for the same folks who threw the occasion . On both times, the servers where so stingy on the food they serve you and if you ask for a little more they say no you can only have what we serve you, How expensive can a Mostaccholi be with no meat and you can count the amount of pieces on your plate? We told that the chicken fingers were for children and that you could not have any, but we're laid out on the table. Food has no taste on both occasions, the servers need to be more trained to serve the people anytime there's an occasion. Anyone who has anything bad to say about this course is either insufferable, terrible at golf, or both. It's cheap, great layout, easily walkable, 9 hole par 36 course. Staff are great. And no, I do NOT work here, but I saw someone leave a bad review and I couldn't let that stand. read more

We just had our wedding here on Saturday. We worked with Sarah on all the planning and she was great. Very friendly and personable and just made us feel comfortable. On the actual day of the wedding, Peter ran everything and managed the operation. He was awesome and took so much off our plate as far as setup, take down, and managing the day. This is NOT a good course for beginners. Why are there so many houses on the course without netting? Why do we tee off next to the road? Great course if you want to shank your ball into the road. The people who live on the course have very aggressive personalities as well. They get super mad when you hit their house. read more

If you want a nice 9-hole course, this place is for you. The grounds are quiet and pleasant to enjoy and there is quite a bit of nature to observe. While the course itself is fine, the staff can be rude and inappropriate. I forget the guy's name but there was a guy working in the Pro Shop who would always make inappropriate comments and be especially bizarre to women. I sure hope he doesn't work there anymore. Otherwise, the other staff were generally nice. However, I'd recommend visiting another course that is far more professional. read more

The banquet room has been completely redone in the last year from new floors to paint. Very open and a beautiful room with lots of windows and a patio. We had an event here and the staff was professional and concerned with every detail to the dinner. I would recommend using the room for events. We had a wonderful event. read more

On Janurary 21st I had a baby shower for my daughter here. Let me tell you...... I was beyond pleased with EVERYTHING. They had everything set up on time, food was served on time. OMG......the food was delicious too. I'll be honest. I wanted this day PERFECT and Yessica and her hosting staff were perfect and provided service that went above & beyond. Dangerous layout. Very narrow with homes and streets too close to the fairways. They must have homes and cars getting hit by errand shots all the time. Had a group of 6 in front of us, with no understanding that they were holding things up for everyone behind them. Called the clubhouse, the clubhouse guy said he couldn't do anything. Save yourself the hassle and go play at a different course. read more

April 23, 2017. Tee Boxes and Fairways with grass over an inch high. Rough with grass tougher to hit out of and harder to find a ball if we re playing Augusta. We re talking first cut. Greens extremely choppy and uneven. All this for a $29 rate for 9 holes. Never again. read more

If you're a women or a beginner and want to be disrespected by staff this is the perfect place to go. As someone who has only been golfing with other experienced golfers I built up the courage to go without people who were experienced. The guy working check in was rude from the start but I thought it was due to them being busy. We let other parties ahead of us and many tee times showed up early so we took a while to start (since we let about 6 people go ahead of us to be polite about our level of experience). When we came back the guy working lectured me as if I was illiterate for being late. As someone who was just trying to get good at the sport this was disappointing. I have been a competitive athlete my whole life and have never experienced the lack of professional staff at any sport establishment. This course isn't even of quality for beginners to be treated that way either. I understand etiquette and respecting others experience, however the way it was communicated was disgusting and felt motivated. read more

Yessica helped me coordinate my sister's baby shower and it was an absolute delight working with her. She was very responsive and patient with all our questions and needs. She was there, every step of the way in coordinating the event. She was such a pleasure to work with, and I would definitely consider having one of my future gatherings at Rob Roy Golf house based on my experience with Yessica. The driving range is the cheapest in town. 17 dollars for 220 balls. And the mini golf course is nice. A little small but 188 holes not 9 like some places. read more

Went into the round expecting a casual, 2-hour round and came out quite upset. The round took 3 hours which is abysmal for 9 holes. On top of it, the course was in absolutely terrible condition. The tee boxes had rough-length grass and the bunkers were concrete. I used to enjoy coming here but will never again. It is not nearly worth $21 and $30 with a cart. read more

My bridal shower was perfect!!!!!!! The banquet room is very cute... it was smaller than an average banquet hall, so it worked really well for the shower. I booked this with my mom who did most of the back and forth with the banquet coordinator. We were able to get into the room almost 3 hours before the shower because there was nothing booked before us. My sister warned me they might not let us do this, but the lady had no problem letting us in. The room setup was already done, so all we had to do was finish our center pieces, which the staff helped us do. Obviously I've never had a shower before, but I've been to about three of them. The people who work there made everything so easy, which wasn't what I was expecting. They all had super-accomodating attitudes and understood that we just wanted to enjoy the day. It was cheaper than some of the other places and I have no idea why. I don't really know what else we needed and I wasn't going to break the bank for a shower. We're already spending enough on the wedding! ...oh god, coming soon. I'll have to do a review for that place too I guess. We ran a bar tab for anything people wanted to drink... this is extremely frightening because even though it was an early afternoon shower, DAMN my family can drink! But we also bought two punch bowls of Red Sangria. I think that it helped offset the price of the bar because people were distracted by something that was displayed really pretty. It probably saved us loads of $$$$$$$. read more

My organization held several golf scrambles which included dinner after golf. the course was in great shape. Our contest holes were well marked, the Pro-Shop even posted our winners and a complete Leader-board. The dinners were served in the lounge. Tables were prepped and included our golf theme centerpieces. Our dinners were well prepared, delicious and topped off with the chef's special "homemade deserts." read more

Got an invitation to see a show at the "Rob Roy Country Club". Had me thinking maybe my faded jeans would be out of style at such a hoity-toity place. Turns out I had it all wrong. This is not at all a stuffy old boys' place -- it's actually part of the River Trails Park District. Clean, modern and I'd say very serviceable for any event that will fit. I'd give it a few more stars if the bar in this place served drinks in real glasses instead of plastic cups (wine, in a plastic cup, really?). And they never did turn down the lights in the bar section, which made it look like an airport lounge. But overall, a nice place -- just don't call it a "country club" - it's a clubhouse. read more

High school girls played here today. Fairways are as narrow as a cart path and homes may as well be on the green. Pin placement must have been a joke by the super on the par three with 6 putts for most players. Only thing missing are the windmills and clowns to hit through. Great course if your bag consists of a 7, Wedge and putter. read more

What once was a nice little 9 hole course has fallen into disrepair. Very poor conditions. Numerous dead trees, they arieated the greens and didn't fill in with sand. Bunkers haven't been raked in over 2weeks. Clearly the management is very poor here. Can't recommend. read more

I've never been to this golf course but my dad went with my brother and 2 nephews and had a great time. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I know he'll be back and I can't wait to try this course. read more

Used their banquet room for a wedding shower. Gorgeous room - carpeted, chandeliers, wall of windows, deck and coat room -- not all like a park district rent-a-room. Nelly, the banquet manager was very accommodating and flexible. Our hostess and bartender, Vanessa, was also great. She anticipated our needs (e.g. water for our centerpieces and a cart for loading up gifts), and was available yet unobtrusive all afternoon. I especially appreciated her keeping me apprised of the ongoing bar tab! Couldn't have asked for a better facility -- and at a fraction of the cost of a restaurant reception! read more

From spring thru the fall i usually play here about once a week, because its about 5 minutes from my office. Its not the hardest course in the world and it can get kind of backed up at times but for the price its great value and allows you to hit all different types of shots to help you work on your game. Most of the holes are fairly short so you don't really need driver but the fairways can be tight and they do a nice job tucking the pins in some tough spots. For a 9 hole course its a pretty nice spot. read more
