If you play from the back tees be ready for a challenge. Even straight drives 280yds or so will still leave some long approach shots. Be mindful of the course layout and study any good phone application's map--the carts don't have GPS. Do this especially on tee shots. Placement is paramount everywhere as the architect has designed many blind tee shots. It's not a tight golf course by any means just a LONG course that requires some quick on the fly shot planning. Get a good golf GPS app on your phone and stay focused for the entire hole. Trust me here. It will save you several strokes. Nice staff, beautiful clubhouse, beautiful holes. You won't see another hole from the one you are on. You could scream at the top of your lungs on each hole and nobody would hear you out there. It's that huge of a place. Also, nobody from the pro shot can see you from any vantage point. Makes for a very private and tranquil experience. Lots of beautiful nature and wildlife out here. Roosters can even be heard on the finishing holes! I loved my experience and will come back soon! Give it a try. Alex

The clubhouse and facilities are very nice and staff is superb. This is a private club and if you have any way of playing this through an event or member, I would jump at the chance.

He was a beloved man, and nearly 200 people came to remember and honor him. The care, service, warmth and hard work we received from Jan, the manager; Lillie, the bartender; and Kathy and Concetta, our servers, were truly exceptional. They couldn't possibly have worked harder or done more to make everything just right, and they were so pleasant and gracious to everyone. But what made them truly special was their sincere compassion for our loss and their genuine desire to help us through such a difficult day. That kind of care is rare, and it meant so much to us. The room looked wonderful. We brought in our own personal touches--flowers, photos and other mementos--and, combined with their linens, serving pieces and finishing touches, the room felt warm, inviting and comfortable for everyone, even though attendance was well above what we had expected. Everyone enjoyed the food, and they accommodated us with a great sound system for our music and speeches, as well as a screen for our photo slideshow. The outdoor area was also available to our guests on what turned out to be a beautiful day. I would highly recommend this facility and especially working with Jan. She's a gem. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you for helping make a very difficult day so meaningful and memorable. Lynn H. & Jamie L.

At least when I played there was nobody enforcing pace of play, so we were well on track for a five + hour round of golf while the group in front of us was busy plumb bobbing its putts for quadruple bogey ... with an entire hole open in front of them. Could be a lovely round with a little bit of gentle guidance from rangers to keep pace, and some regular reminders to adhere to some of the basic courtesies like raking bunkers, replacing divots, and repairing ball marks (none of which seemed to be being done on a particularly regular basis...).
